Lok’s was sold and the business has gone downhill. :(. Sorry to see the previous owners sell…

Just ordered a to go order and have given the new owners three tries and it’s just gotten worse each time. The egg rolls where dripping with oil and that’s all u tasted. Orange chicken hard and dry and no flavor. The pork chow main no flavor and the noodles tasted like pasta. The only good was the steamed rice. We probably won’t go back. I’ve always supported the community, but I just can’t spend so much money and get the worse food ever. Wish the other owners would come back.

I have eaten at Lok’s Garden when the former owners had it and the food was great. I happen to LOVE the food now, since the new owner took over! I have had the coconut shrimp, szechuan pork and mongolian beef and they were fabulous! Their portions are big and we always take home food because it is too much to finish. The potstickers are yummy too! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Boo hoo to those that do not like the food that is coming out under the new ownership. I love it!

The best. I grew up in an Asian community and Lok’s garden ranks up there with the best A must try is the bbq pork appetizer The egg fu young is to die for. Garlic chicken sweet and sour pork are heavenly. John, manager, is a friendly host

This place has gone way down since changing management. I ordered over the phone and took home to eat. The food was not good at all, seemed like it was 2 day old leftovers. We hardly ate any of what we ordered and put it the fridge(I don’t know why because we knew we weren’t eating this ever again). The next day I went to feed leftovers to dog and found plastic wrappers mixed in the bottom of our rice box… I will never be eating at this place again. Low quality Chinese food with an obviously dirty kitchen.

Both times i went were under meal rushes so I understand fully we will have to wait a little longer and it didn’t help that they are understaffed but I felt they handled it very well. When we got our food it was AMAZING. If you try one thing go for the wonton soup it could be a meal by itself. If you have tried it in the past and were disappointed, as I have been, definitely give the new owners and cooks a chance.

My family has come here for years and I have never once been disappointed! Loks is family owned and take great pride in their food. The prices are not that bad and you get very generous portions!!! They my have a large variety to choose from and several different lunch and dinner specials! I come here so often they know me by name and know my order by heart! The owners son Jon recently took over and he has done a fantastic job running the place! He has even added some new and exciting items! If you want great food, this is your place to go!

This place is very good. A bit on the greasy side with the amount of oils used but the service was excellent and made up for a great dinning experience. Jon does a good job making sure everyone is satisfied with their meal and having a good time.

I have dined at this restaurant for nearly the past 20 years. This is a great family owned business that has stood the test of time and outlasted numerous other Chinese restaurant startups. The biggest reason is the fresh authentic food and friendly atmosphere. Meals can be ordered as dinners or al a carte. They also have large tables in the middle of the restaurant for big groups. Make sure you come hungry because the portions won’t disappoint.

While my hometown of Los Angeles is known to have various amazing Chinese food spots that I constantly eat at, I must admit that Lok’s Garden in Lake Isabella is exceptional when it comes to food quality, service, and value. It is quite a hole in the wall which appears to be run by a genuinely nice family. The portions are HUGE, especially for the price, as I always have lots of leftovers to eat later. I try to stop by here whenever I’m in town to fish, and I even sometimes go out of my way to drop in while just passing through Kern County. Now on to the food. There are just so many menu items that I find simply cooked to perfection that I have, to this day, yet to have better of. While I’m always a sucker for Orange Chicken, the Egg Flower Soup, Wor Won Ton Soup, Pot Stickers, and Garlic Shrimp are amazing! The piece de resistance, in my opinion, and while I can’t just choose one, would have to be the Hot Wings and BBQ Ribs. SOOOGOOD!!! I seriously wish I could get this quality of wings and ribs in LA! Kudos to you Lok’s Garden… Kudos… You have a loyal customer whenever I’m near the area. I’d definitely recommend eating at Lok’s Garden. 10⁄10 would eat again

Not bad for a small town hole in the wall. Food is decent and nice portions. Service is good. My husband and I were really hungry so ordered way too much food. For starters we had egg rolls and pot stickers. There were like 6 pot stickers and 5 egg rolls. Both were very good. For entrees we ordered moo goo gain pan, shrimp in lobster sauce, and egg Foo young. It came with sides of chow mein and fried rice. Wow! Everything was tasty. We took three to go boxes home with us. Bill was about $ 50 and that’s with 2 sapporo beers. Whenever we are up here and we crave Chinese we won’t hesitate to hit up Loks Garden
