Really great brunch spot. We sat outside which was really nice because it backs up to a public park with walking trails and on a beautiful day, just a really pretty view. I had the huevos rancheros which was delicious and my husband had an omelet which he really enjoyed. They came around with biscuit beignets which were AMAZING. I really wish we had ordered a full order in addition to the sample they brought to our table! The only things I didn’t love about it was that the place was pretty small, so there was quite a wait for a table and while they have a full bar with drinks, there were no drink specials for Sunday brunch which was a little disappointing. Personally I think $ 7 is a little pricey for a mimosa but maybe that’s just me. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely go back!

Amazing. The outside seating is fabulous. The food is great. I’m shocked to see some of the reviews on here. I go here at least once a week because the outside seating is so great. I’ve never had bad service or a bad meal. Very positive rating for this place!

This place is a busy little place. We decided to sit at the bar since there were a couple of spots open. There is seating inside and out with the bar area being open to the outside. I decided on the huevos racheros and my friend had the biscuits and gravy. The one good thing about this place is that they have great portion sizes. The tortillas in my heuvos racheros were a little too crisp where it was dark and didn’t really look like tortillas anymore. Other than that it was good. The biscuits and gravy looked great. I did take a bit of the sausage patty and I think they make it in house. There was a good amount of green in it, which I couldn’t tell what it was.

I didn’t really question if I was going to come here because most of the mixed reviews revolved around customer service points. The fun thing about it is I have control of rewarding good customer service but I’m over all paying for the food and that is the hit or miss. 1– the overall environment was simple I really enjoyed eating out on the patio. I really like that they have the couch sitting outside as well so after you eat you can go sit down and relax it’s a very comfortable place perfect for a good morning breakfast and maybe a morning sketch session or just reading a book. 2– the service was pretty damn good. I had Deborah M. And she was fantastic for suggestions I asked her what she would recommend and she gave me some suggestions. Granted this is my first time and I had no basis for comparison to the other food they had here I really enjoyed my breakfast. I also never had grits before and they’re City grits is amazing. 3– I had the traditional breakfast with two eggs over easy and they got the sausages along with the biscuit along with the city grits. The food was very delicious I think more or less the grits is what really got me hooked I definitely want to try the brie cheese wrap but I was full after what I had eaten. For the price I was very happy with my mail it was a nice simple breakfast and I would definitely come back to try more of their food. I’m very sure service can vary no matter where you go. There Are Places I just will not go back to because of the service but I can see how this place can get really busy so at that point I was worried about the customer service. To my delight there are no issues everyone was pleasant and as a visitor from California this was a nice friendly place. I’m giving it 4 stars simply because the food did not blow my mind aside from the grits. If I am ever back this review can definitely go up to the 5 Star pending what I order next time.

I went in to this Cafè despite the mixed reviews and low rating. We were hungry and in a hurry and my husband said«How can anyone mess up breakfast?» Well, let me tell you how. I ordered the egg white omelette from the lighter fare menu. First it was dripping in oil. Literally soaked in oil and fried around the edges. Second, the description said, egg whites, spinach, green onions, red peppers, goat cheese and garlic. Usually the ingredients further down the list are used sparingly as flavor enhancers. The description should have called this a garlic omelette. It had 6 whole cloves of garlic. Who does that??? Whole cloves of garlic? It was so revolting I could barely eat half of the omelette even after picking them out. Third, serve lukewarm coffee and that, my friends, is how you ruin breakfast. The one star was for service. The staff was very polite. The place is nice and they have a very serene view from the bar.

Not sure why the mixed reviews but we have been here twice and both times the service has been excellent! Andrew was our server this morning and he was awesome… totally professional, sweet and a very nice guy. Food both times have been delicious as well. Had the pancakes with andouille sausage, just yummy! Had the city grits which are creamy and filled with flavor from the bacon and cheese mixed in. The outdoor patio has a great view of a pretty park and it’s just an all around nice place to have breakfast or brunch! I highly recommend it!

Eh. The good was mediocre nothing impressing. My pancake was cold and I had to ask for it be warmed. May be coincidence but I felt terrible after leaving. I definitely won’t be back but if you’re into the scenery outside its really pretty. Might be nice on a Sunday brunch kinda day with some mimosas…

My husband and I visited Another Broken Egg this morning for breakfast just before 10:00AM this morning. The hostess said there would be a 15 – 20 minute wait and we were seated in almost exactly 15 minutes. The restaurant was full inside and out so I’m happy that we’re didn’t have a very long wait. We were seated outside which was perfect for the weather this morning(cool, but warming up as breakfast went on). The outside eating area has a casual patio feel and is covered so you don’t bake in the sun. It also has a pleasant park view which makes it that much better. We ordered the biscuit beignets to share as an appetizer. For his entrée my husband chose the traditional which comes with two eggs(he picked scrambled), an English muffin, and seasoned country potatoes and he added andouille sausage. I chose to get two of the buttermilk pancakes with banana and made it a combo by adding two fried eggs over easy and chorizo(which isn’t listed on the menu as an option but since it was in other things I asked about it and it was fine). Our entrees came out quickly, before the beignets in fact. Our waitress gave us the option of canceling the order for them but we wanted to try them so she said she would bring them for«dessert». In the meantime, we tucked into our food. My husband and I both loved the andouille sausage(I got to try a bite), but he said that his scrambled eggs tasted a lot like buffet eggs. The seasoned country potatoes were also very good. My meal was good, though I regretted ordering chorizo after trying the andouille. The chorizo was good, but not nearly as good as the andouille. My pancakes were large and very filling. They were the most cake-like pancakes I’ve ever had, which is both good and bad. They were tasty to be sure, but they were so thick that they stuck to my teeth and they seemed sweeter than your average buttermilk pancake. As we were finishing up our main plates our server arrived with the biscuit beignets. We were both so full we could only manage two each. I honestly probably wouldn’t order them again. Not because they were bad, but just because they didn’t wow me. The orange marmalade dipping sauce had a lot of flavor and I really liked it. I would probably go again as there are a few more things on the menu that I’d like to try. Besides breakfast they also server lunch so there are many options.

I really enjoyed this place — outside seating is very cozy and the service was great. Although in a strip mall the patio gives the outside seating provides a relaxing vibe w open views of trees and grass. There are a few TV’s tucked away for game watching. My girlfriend had shrimp and grits which were unique and flavorful. I had an omelette that was yummy. I would come back —

Only opened for 5 months, this casual eatery has hit its stride already. Visited for brunch and atmosphere is upscale and casual. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Normally when you visit a diner you can expect poor coffee. Not here. Coffee was pleasant, not bitter. Eggs cooked perfectly! Omelet was delicious. Definitely our new go to breakfast joint! I was hesitant to visit due too the low ratings noted. After reading them, most give high grades to the food. Complaints seem to be on cost and service. We came at 11am on a Saturday. There seemed to be more than enough wait staff. Our server, Mike, was quick and knowledgeable.

After my third visit a few weeks ago I’ve decided to write a review. My first visit to Broken Egg was excellent, minus the long wait; however, the last two were below par. Long wait, with long wait for service and drinks, with an even longer wait for food. Once food came to us, the last two times it was cold. How is that possible? It can’t take that long to notify servers the food is ready and should be delivered to the table. I thought about going again today, but never mind, I actually want something warm today for this cooler weather.

I was excited they opened this location around the corner from the house. However, after visiting more than three time, I’m dissapointed. 1– Always had to wait. 2– Food overcooked. 3– Expensive. The only good thing are the servers and location.

In an effort to be fair, I waited until my third trip before submitting this review. Pretty simple, servers are friendly, food is above average, but the time from order to receiving food is extremely long. People came in and ordered after us and were served before us. We all expect a wait to get seated, however once the order is placed, it doesn’t take that long to make french toast. And no, they weren’t overly busy. The food quality is good, but not worth the wait to be served. There is definately a kitchen problem

New restaurant that opened up recently in the area and it was so refreshing compared to other breakfast spots I’ve been lately. There’s an awesome outdoor dining and bar area that gives you a quiet and serene atmosphere while enjoying a delicious and healthy meal. There is a good amount of items on their«skinny» menu that are SO delicious! We tried the cinnamon roll as an appetizer and it was so awesome and plenty of portion for two people. While we were there we also got to sample the biscuits appetizer which was beyond anything we expected, so tasty and fresh. I highly recommend those if searching for an appetizer to start your morning. The staff was super friendly and informative about their recommendations. When we went we sat on the side of the bar that was seated on the patio, the bartenders were very attentive to us. I’ve seen reviews reporting negative experiences with the customer service, but I had quite the opposite and would definitely go back again.

Went to the one in Lake Mary. There was a wait at noon on a Saturday. As I looked around, saw they had a bar. Hmmm, I like a Bloody Mary with Tequila. NO Tequila?! My husband asked about their beers. NO beer?! Don’t get me wrong, I understood it’s a breakfast place. But, as my guy said… if you’re going to invest that kind of $ for a liquor license, you should take advantage! Our servers were great! The food was very good! A little pricey, but not too bad. That darn bar fiasco just bothered me. Makes me think the owner/s are restaurant rookies.

Decided to stop here on the way to another local breakfast spot. I wished I had read the reviews prior to stopping, although I probably would have stopped anyways to give them a try. It was a beautiful morning so we sat outside, very comfortable seating area outside. The waitress was bubbly and nice, she served us coffee right away. We looked over the menu and started to chit chat and lost track of how long it took for her to come back to take our order. She apologized, she seemed to have been multitasking as bartender and waitress. Ok no big deal, time goes by, 3 cups of coffee later, families have come in behind us and had their food already. We still had no food, the waitress came back again and assured us food would be up in a bit. We’re thinking, the place is new, still needs to work out their staff. Finally the food arrived, my boyfriend ordered salmon benedict that came with side of potatoes, he was so disappointed, it was all cold, not just luke warm, but cold to touch. I ordered the sausage gravy biscuits with two eggs, mine was warm, not too hot or too cold. By this time, he’s starving so he starts eating. Waitress came back and he informed her it was cold, she offered to replace, but again he was starving and simply ate everything but the eggs. The manager did come over and was very nice about it and removed his breakfast from the bill. I’ll try the place one more time in a few months when they get all their staffing kinks out. Couple of side notes: You can bring your dog to sit outside. There were several well behaved pups there on our visit. They do all the menu items all day and they also serve alcohol. Who doesn’t love a mimosa with breakfast!

Such a disappointment! Excruciatingly slow service. Food was good, but long wait for it to arrive and un-bused tables as we left, with lots of people waiting. I feel especially bad that such a nice new place has not been able to get its act together. Also, the menu is such that it doesn’t have much to offer someone who wants a light bite instead of a complete breakfast platter. For example the«Biscuit and Gravy» item includes 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs and home fries. I’ve never seen that at other nearby restaurants. That pushes the price point well beyond what would be offered by competitors. Even after eating, there was a long wait for the check and additional wait for the credit card slip to be presented. Such a shame! I thought we had found a new place close to home. Not this place.

Excited to have this new place in the area and I’ve visited other locations with great results. The new Lake Mary location is in a busy business corridor, so I’m sure all the nearby office buildings are happy to have a lunch spot. It’s cool to have a fun brunchy place to have breakfast with a great Bloody Mary. This is a new location so they are *definitely* working out some kinks. We ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for a table. Our table opened up quicker than expected so then the person behind the bar told us she was canceling our drink order since we had a table now. We asked her if we could just have the order filled and sent to out table and this was treated like a hassle. It was obvious they didn’t like us just ordering drinks at the bar. Okay… At our table it was hard to keep our servers attention since she was in such a hurry. ABEC is only open until 2pm, so they were really quick to take our order and sort of walked off while I was mid sentence with the order and asking for water. I know they are hurrying but it’s not really the level of service I hoped for. The issue here is lots of people wanting brunch and a limited time to get the orders out before closing time. Our order took about 25 plus minutes to come out of the kitchen. Our server didn’t give us any updates like your food was coming soon or anything like that. We did get a water refill. I’ll probably give this place more time to settle in and hope the service improves. The food was good, I had the Santa Fe Burger with a side of grits and my husband had the Stan’s Mardi Gras omelette meal. We ordered two pancakes and a side of andouille sausage to share. The burger was really good, the grits were a bit too runny. The Mardi Gras omelette was really good as well as the andouille sausage. The pancakes were odd, a heavy and doughy texture like they were over cooked or the batter was too thick. I don’t know what was up, but not light and fluffy so I wouldn’t order pancakes again. Hopefully this place can improve a bit since their other locations are wonderful.

I really wanted to like this place. I had high hopes it would be a new favorite lunch spot since it is right across the street from my office, but unless they get their stuff together I will never go back. I walked in a few minutes past 11am today. The restaurant was not busy and had few tables with patrons. The young hostess saw me coming and opened the door which I thought was nice. She sat me right away with a smile on her face. That was the only good part about my experience. I sat waiting for someone from the wait staff to come over and greet me, take a drink order or something. Nothing. I waited over 15 minutes for the waitress to finally step over to my table. I let her know politely I had been waiting a while and she apologized claiming she didn’t see me. Where was she this whole time? I didn’t see her on the floor anywhere. The menu had great looking items that made it hard to decide. I settled on the shrimp and lobster roll sliders since it was lunch and I wanted lunch food. The rolls were grilled with a strong salt seasoning and the salad was so-so. Not great, but not bad. I don’t like that the only choice for a side are potatoes. I don’t like potatoes(Oh the horror!). I also had the biscuit beignets. Again, so-so. It was a biscuit, fried and covered in powdered sugar. The marmalade was really good though. Overall, it’s not something I would order again. I should have stuck to eggs or breakfast. After finishing my meal the waitress dropped off my check. I put my payment inside the folder and placed it at the edge of the table. I watched the waitress greet and take orders from another table. Then go back to that table. Then back once again. I waited and waited and waited but she didn’t come back to my table. Another waitress walked around refilling coffee and I asked her if she could help me pay my tab. She took my payment and my waitress brought it right back, but I shouldn’t have had to ask someone else. Again, I’m waiting on this waitress. I realize she’s new, but it shouldn’t be that hard to at least make yourself accessible to your customers. Just like the previous reviewer mentioned, there’s another breakfast/lunch café down the road. I will try this place one more time, but if the service is just as bad I would rather drive the mile and a half and wait 15 minutes to be seated at the other café than walk across the street to this one again. As for the stars, I’m giving it two stars instead of one solely because I know they just opened a few days ago, but really this deserved one star. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — I went back again today with a co-worker. I did not see the same waitress, in fact, we had Jenna. Jenna was great. She was upbeat and very knowledgeable about all the food. My friend had an allergy she was able to help us navigate around very easily. We both appreciated that. I had mentioned to Jenna my previous experience and without asking she brought out an order of their beignets. I was surprised and impressed. That is good customer service. This time I had the biscuits and gravy and my co-worker had the traditional breakfast. Our food was good. I still won’t give it a great rating, but it was very good. The sausage that came with my food had a different flavor than most sausage. It was earthy, but with a hint of spice. I asked Jenna and she said the chef’s make it fresh on site with brown sugar and an herb mixture. It’s a good place for to eat for breakfast or brunch. It’s not great, but it is good and the service is getting better.
