The lunch was good but a bit pricey. I had the Mahi wrap. It was very filling and I could not finish it. The waitress service was friendly and busy. They could have used one or more working during the lunch. We were in and out within an hour. The lunch with tip was $ 18, that included a drink as well.

I’m giving it a 2 because the food is good. Service tonight was lousy. Bad part is that there were very few people in the restaurant when we were there. At least 10 minutes after we sat down before a waitress(there were 3, at least, that walked by or near our table) came to get our drink order. It got a little bit better from there but overall it made for a lousy dinner.

Service and food has gone down hill and have received hair in my food. The servers are rude and the managers lack management and ownership.

Great wings and porch area. I would recommend wings, cheesesteak, buffalo chicken, and Cobb salad. Service is always friendly!

I had the worst experience in quite some time. Started with the service. No one would serve us on the patio because the back bar was closed. No prob. But can a server come outside? No. So I had to basically serve myself. Go inside get the menus from a diff table etc. Bartender told me to come to her when I was ready to order so she didn’t have to go far from the bar. Understandable but very unprofessional. Don’t cut every server off the floor with 2 service hours left to the night. I took the order for our entire table walked it in to the bartender who took the order from me. We all got late night claws, sauce in the side. Our 4 rounds of water didn’t arrive for another 20 min, AFTER the food got to the table. Then our beer came too. But not what we ordered because they don’t have bud/budlight on draft. Odd, but okay. Then I had to go inside and ask for the check. I was over charged on the wings(75c vs 65c Monday night special) on 35 pieces. Should have only been just over $ 20 Then I was charged for every sauce which should have already been included. We also ordered a 4 $ veggie plate with more plate space than veg. Should have come with ranch and blue cheese, we received 3 blue cheese. So of course I was also charged for the ranch when I went in and asked for ranch. But did we ever receive it? No. So our bill was over $ 40 for a minimal late night bite and 1 pitcher. Very shocking. We paid more in sauces and«add Ons» than we did in what we actually ordered. Very disappointing, horrible service. Not worth going back when there’s tons of other places in the lake Mary/sanford area. I think the late night staff need to be trained in hospitality and stop nickel & diming everyone. Probably get a better tip as well as returning customers. Im over this place again and remembered why I stopped coming.

I’m going to be honest and say, this is a sports bar… and yes the bar part is a big part of the crowd your going to see here. If you cant handle a few people shouting at sports teams and at each other on the rare and entertaining occasion than this is most likely not the spot for you. The fun really begins after 12am when most people there are only drinking and not eating. I also need to warn parents and families. this is not a very Family Friendly place at times and on some nights. I have walked in and Rap with outright cussing is blasting over the speakers and MMA fights with lots of blood are playing on the screens. Be prepared. Also the occasional drunken arguement among patrons does break out. I will say this though, if your hungry late at night(or very very early morning) and looking for a burger, wings or Chicken fingers(Cubbie Claws) and other types of bar food. Nobody and I mean nobody does it better. They have the best Burgers in Lake Mary, the best Wings, and most anything else on the Menu. its also the only Restaurant in the Lake Mary area and only 1 of 2 in Seminole County open after 12 am. on Weekdays. Be warned that lunch times are packed though and it seems they dont have enough kitchen staff and or servers on somedays, as all of the Lake Mary businesses unload hungry employees at 12:00 pm… I’ve seen lunches take 30+ minutes to get to the table. But the food is always good. Overall all: Food and Drinks– 5 Service– 4 Cleanliness– ¾ Crowd– Depends on what time you go. Family friendly– not after 9:30/10:00pm Music–(usually horrible) depends on who paid at the digital Juke Box.

This was the first visit to the Friendly Confines(no I’m not talking about Wrigleyville) with some friends of ours and this restaurant was spacious and very clean and unique. You can watch any game whether it’s NCAA football, NFL, Baseball or Basketball on their many jumbo TVs. The food was nothing gourmet but it was sports bar food and it was good. Fried Pickles were ok but not great. Staff was very professional and definitely will return to the Friendly Confines on another visit to Orlando.

Excellent bartender, Kelly Blue Eyes. Good drinks, good food, reasonable prices. Loads of tv’s. What a relief after leaving the Marriott bar next door where they didn’t know how to prepare a scotch and water. And Friendly Confines is about 40% less expensive,

DEEPFRIEDGOUDAMACANDCHEESE. Need I say more?! It tasted as good as it sounds! The service was not very good though… slow and inattentive. But, If you are down for some above average bar food, decent prices and outdoor seating, check this place out!

We had lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. Business was slow but service was good. We were able to get our meal, eat and be out the door by 1:40 pm. I had a Chicago style dog and it was great. The waffle fries that come with it are the best waffle fries I have ever had. They are crunchy on the outside and warm on the inside. I ordered a side of Cajun hot sauce to dip them in. My fiancé had the Italian beef. He said it was very good. It was served nice and sloppy like it should be. We were both full and satisfied. We will be back.

I normally don’t do this type of thing to businesses because everyone makes a mistake. But this is unacceptable. Don’t ruin both orders that I place for a to-go so horribly that one becomes an entirely different meal. And then when I finally decide to eat it anyway because I don’t feel like going back I discover a long gray hair in it within the first bite. Then upon my husband speaking to the manager when he goes back, the manager tells him«yeah our cook refuses to wear a hair net and I keep telling him this is bound to happen. He’s got a full head of gray hair, it’s definitely him. Thanks for telling us.» Really??? What the hell? Your cook has authority over you and refuses to wear a hair net and you just let it slide? Thanks, now I’m without dinner and starving and grossed out. Ew.

Been here a few times for brunch and I loved it. The best part are the $ 10 bottomless mimosas that they serve from 9−12pm(sometimes they’ll serve until 2pm depending on what time of the year it is). They have about 6 different options for mimosa flavors and if you sit outside and Mel is your waitress, ask for the mystery mimosa and you won’t be disappointed! The one thing I like is that there are TVs everywhere! Both outside and inside, which makes Sunday football watching that much easier. The only reason I give this place four stars is because I’ve only eaten off their breakfast menu(which I would give 5 stars on its own). The rest of their menu is extensive as well, boasting your typical sports bar food with a few twists and signature dishes here and there. Definitely worth a visit if you’re hungry before noon on a Sunday in the Lake Mary/Heathrow area! 8÷16÷15 update Just enjoyed some amazing bottomless mimosas and brunch out on the patio on a rainy Sunday morning. Mel was our waitress and was awesome as always! There was one thing I was disappointed about: the chicken and waffles. I’ve had chicken and waffles at a few other places before and they were great! The offering here at Friendly Confines, however, was not worth the $ 10 price tag. Fluffier waffles and meatier chicken tenders would make this option so much more appealing. Just my two cents. Other than that, great experience despite my entrée choice!

Love this place. The food is great bar food and very consistent. The service can get slow but that’s because they get very busy and the kitchen gets bogged down. This is island life in Florida, so you really shouldn’t go anywhere & be in a hurry! Staff is nice & cheery. Give FC a try for yourself. LM location is the best one.

Tough to mark something less than 5 stars after I use Unilocal to find the best place in the first place! This 5 star sports bar/restaurant is the best in north Orlando. From the tasty brew to the happy atmosphere to the decadent jalapeño poppers. This is the right place for football or food

Meh. This place isn’t that friendly. Service is OK, but I feel the people here are pretty clicky. It’s right next to Heathrow, so I expect that. The drinks aren’t anything special, and there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot going on here. I’d rather go somewhere else, like Graffiti Junction across the street.

As many have already said it is bar food. Decent bar food. though. It’s the service that isn’t. In fact, I’m not sure I have had a waitress that I thought wanted to actually work there. They don’t smile. Might refill your drink after you are nearly done with your meal if you don’t happen to have to hold up your glass and remind them. Actually heard one of the waitresses verbally fighting with either a cook or a manager during lunch. In fact, everyone heard it. Decent food. Substandard service buy 20 somethings who prob. spend their time in the back on Facebook instead of checking their tables. There is better in the area.

I had been a regular at the Waterford Lakes Friendly Confines for awhile, but recently moved to Debary. I was glad to find that the Lake Mary location is only a 5 – 10 min drive from my new pad. I lived in Chicago for 4 years and developed a deep love and appreciation for the Windy City, so I’ve always liked the homage that Friendly Confines pays with the name and décor(go Bears!). Plus it excites me when I see an Italian Beef on a restaurant’s menu here in FL(if you don’t know what an Italian Beef is, shame on you… go Google it immediately!). Even though nothing could ever be as good as an Italian Beef from Portillo’s, it’s still nice to taste that delicious flavor profile. The Lake Mary Friendly Confines is pleasantly bright and clean… a positive contrast from the Waterford location, which can feel dark and dingy. There are also fewer loud and drunk college kids at this one — definitely a bonus! Each time I’ve been, a «seat yourself» sign was placed in the front. I don’t mind seating myself, but sometimes in those situations it can take longer for a server to come and find you. That wasn’t the case here… service is pretty fast. All of the tables and chairs are high tops, and there is nice patio out back. Tons of TV’s…would be a great place to hang and watch football. One of the things I like most about F.C. are all the drink specials. My fav at this location(I believe they differ slightly at each F.C.) are the $ 5 double Captain Morgan or Vodka drinks(3 Olives, I think). The menu at this location is also slightly different, but still has all the basics. Hubby was obsessed with the Philly Cheese steak from the Waterford location, so he was glad that the one here is just as good… crusty bread, tender meat and lots of cheese. The wings are good… I always go with medium, parmesan, garlic sauce — yum! Here they offer Mac & Cheese as a side which is nice. I’ve also tried the Chicken Florentine wrap, it was also good. You may notice I’m using the word«good» a lot, but I feel that appropriately describes the menu here… nothing fabulous, but it’s all pretty good. Overall I enjoy this Friendly Confines. It’s close to home, has great drink specials, decent bar food and good service.
