Food isn’t bad. However, after they fired Leslie after 14 loyal years of service, I will never go back. I refuse to spend money at businesses where I do not like the owners/management.

Our Go to Deli. This place is great, there is always parking available and never have to wait long. I go for the breakfast and my wife goes for the corned beef. The staff is always fast and friendly and the food is consistently awesome. 10⁄10 would recommend. Get the rugelach!

I would give this location four stars for food quality and service on peak evenings and weekday lunches. However, off peak evenings are an adventure here. The place was empty and service was slow. All three of our dinners were off but my daughters children’s meal was burnt way beyond edible. The quote of the night«I thought it looked awfully burnt but I figured I would let her try it first».

I tried to surprise my girlfriend by delivering a meal to her. Their delivery rate is $ 25 and over. I spoke to a manager(Nancy). I explained the situation and the special occasion but she didn’t care and no courtesy. She said that driver is out. I didn’t mind the delay because the delivery address is 1.2 miles away from them. Very terrible management decision. i wouldn’t buy anything from such cold blood store.

Was there on Friday Dec 4th at around 4:30 pm. Chicken soup and half pastrami were good. My husband asked for UNSWEETENED iced tea. The reason he does that is because he’s DIABETIC. Don’t bring SWEET, SUGAR tea when someone asks for UNSWEET. Two stars for a mistake that there is no excuse for. Two wait staff. One table already served, and we were the only other customers.

This place is pretty good. They are a deli type place, that also serves hot items out of the kitchen. The food is pretty good and staff is friendly. I dig that you can get things other than chips and fries as sides. That is a pleasant change. The only reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because they are a little pricey, and the staff can be a little slow.

So sorry to hear that you’ve sold out to corporate in hopes of going national. I wondered why the crowds got thinner… your menu has changed; no more soup or salad with an entrée. And the food quality has really gone down fast, and the prices have gone up. The chicken tenders were so brined that the salt water was all I could taste, the stuffed chicken was horrible looking as well as horrible tasting. You’ve lost a long time customer. Bye bye 2J’s

Average, we have eaten at Toojays all over Florida the one in Lake Mary is hit or miss at best. Can’t ever seem to deliver hot food from kitchen. Always winding up sending cold food esp breakfast back to the point where we banned Toojays til we go back to Palm Beach. Also found gum attached to bottom of booth. Kitchen must be run by transplanted Waffle House line cooks that put anything on a plate. Sad…

Good place for chicken and waffles or a nice green salad. Service was nice, but not great. We had to raise our voice to get refills and our check. Not the fastest service either but they were pretty busy at 1 on Sunday.

The California wrap & black and white cookies are the best. Will definitely be returning.

One of my favorite places to eat at. The breakfast combo platter is enough to share with another person, which is what I usually do. Chicken and waffles are the best but they’re only served during breakfast. There’s so many good dishes that I could list. If you still have room for dessert after all the delicious food you just ate, you must order the carrot cake… It’s amazing!

Decided to try a late lunch on 4÷7÷15 as the restaurant billed itself as a ‘Jewish cafeteria’. Ordered the pastrami sandwich, tea, and fruit. Food was good. Service was awful. Never got a drink refill. Wasn’t asked if I wanted dessert, which I did, until the check came. Very impersonal server. I might try again, but wouldn’t go out of my way due to their service.

Been coming for years, just a reminder of how much we enjoy the place. Michael our server was genuinely fun and friendly and the food as usual was terrific. Minor mix up on our order which was quickly and cheerfully/apologetically fixed. We don’t know of a better deli style restaurant in the Orlando area and I’ve been to this location and the one on Colonial with equally good experiences. Take some cake or cookies home. or some salads. or the terrific rye bread! 4 and a half stars for sure.

Five star service from the hostess and from my waiter who was very friendly and very helpful and did a great job. I especially appreciated the fork he put in my to go bag! So I started off with a stuffed cabbage. Just like grammy used to make. A nice sweet tomato sauce poured over cabbage leaves that were wrapped around a ground beef and rice stuffing. Very tasty and a nice size for an appetizer. My main course was the whitefish salad on a toasted everything bagel. Man, I love their whitefish here. It’s very tasty and while they warn on the menu that there might be small bones, mine has never had any in there. A little salty, a lot fishy and a very large portion. Very, very good. And yep, I chose a dessert to go. Carrot cake. A good sized portion that had a nice moist cake and the walnuts were great. Maybe too much icing, but I’m not an icing fan compared to others. Service: Great Food: Very good Price: Excellent I like Toojays!

Service: good Food: bad Meatloaf should be aptly named«LoafMeat». My mama never made anything that looked like that. Mashed potatoes? If you count potato flakes as «mashed»… And the broccoli was on my plate was pleading«just kill me… finish it!» Only redeeming grace was the Jewish rye bread… fresh, soft and delicious. No need to come here unless you know something I don’t.

Toojays is the only Jewish style Deli I know of near Daytona all the he way through Orlando. I’m not very impressed with the meats they used. they use a brand of of non kosher meats called National Deli which was a non kosher part of Hebrew National that was brought and sold to someone whos running National Deli in Miami. if u goto bens and get pastrami corn beef tounge etc you would never eat Too jays meats again. Bens a real New York Deli uses Hebrew National and its a lot less salter and a lot less fatter than national deli products that Too jays uses. On the plus side even through I have to travel 217 miles to get my meats in Boca at Bens or 230 miles to get my meats at sage deli in Hallandale Beach(both of which I give 5 star to. TooJays does have excellent bread motzo ball soup and chopped liver you can die for. I also like their shrimp salad. Their bagel and Nova Lox are great! I used to get the platter but now get the sandwiches the difference is 1 ounce for $ 5.00. in any Cass the quality of the Nova is great. In summery Toojays is OK. It does not replace the taste of a Jewish deli at all. However it is clean and I’m sure there standard american products are good. If u like chopped liver motzo ball soup and nova or shrmp salad i would recommend those products. If u want Jewish salami pastrami corn beef tounge go else where where they serve kosher meats also be prepared to pay a lot more.

Usually have the corned beef sandwich which I like. Last time I had the pastrami and was disappointed. It was tough. I’ve never had matzo ball soup, but was curious since I’ve heard if it. Oh my, this was the best soup ever. Just right blend of seasonings. I will order it every time I’m here. Servers are always friendly and I enjoy eating here. Tried to learn a little at the front counter about their catering, but the woman at the counter wasn’t very helpful.

I was surprised to see the interior of this TooJays. It is one other smallest locations I have ever seen. Even tho, it was good to see they were doing a brisk business. The store manager sat us quickly and our server Marlene dropped off menus promptly. We ordered the pastrami sandwich, one blintz and one potato pancake. The store appeared to be clean but a bit dingy. The quality of the pastrami sandwich was excellent as usual. The blintz was good as well as the blueberry compote. The potato pancake however was another story as it was so over cooked that it bordered on that line of burnt. When you taste that familiar charcoal taste you know it’s not going to be good. I was very disappointed. The service was just okay. Nothing special like you would normally receive in a Toojays. No suggestive selling, wasn’t told the specials nor the soups of the day, etc. We were handed our check and that was it. Upon leaving I checked our their deli case possibly looking for something to take home with me. I was looking at the chopped liver but one look and I knew something was wrong with the quality. There were medium size lumps in it which is never a good sign. Current health inspection: 1 critical &1 at risk violation.
