Sounds like military, right? No, but close to it, my goalie mask is made out of kevlar, as even the space shuttle uses this too but I digress.
First off, is the fit, by far the most comfortable out there especially if you have a big wide head like meLOL. I find the Bauer and Vaughn a bit tight fitting, and more vertical if you know what I mean.
The built-​in sweat band is also more comfortable.
And the most important, is protection. Lots of curved surfaces to deflect impact of that ferocious puck, with no problems. And best air vents too.
Weight is solid, light considering.
Easily recommend.
