Called the phone number on the website to get information on prices and units available. I ended up reserving a 5×10 unit and received a confirmation email stating the following: Unit Details 5 X 10 Can unload & load at storage unit, Standard Self Storage Space Quoted Rate: $ 61.00/mo. Special: 50% Off First Month Move-In Date 7÷4÷2014 The following day, I went to the location to complete my signup with a coupon I got from their website which was for 50% off the first 2 months thinking that they would honor that. However, when I got there to sign up I was told that they would not honor the coupon for the 2 months at 50% off for the 5×10 unit. Furthermore, they would not honor the 50% off the first month since they had only 35×10 units available(what does that even mean?). Also, I was told there would be an administrative fee of $ 20 which the call center told me there was no fee to sign up other than the first month rental and something about insurance requirements. So basically, this company tried the age old bait and switch. Gave me a reservation with a solid confirmation in an email stating the quoted rate and the special(see above) with no mention of an administrative fee or insurance requirements, then when I got there, I was told that the reservation or quoted information would not be honored. Terrible experience, bad customer service at the location. Here’s the funny part, instead of signing up a new long-term renter, they basically told me they don’t want my business because they were unwilling to give a discount that amounted to $ 31. I can only conclude that either the call center should not have quoted the deal they did or the local owners of the storage center just simply refused to honor the deal since they are not actively trying to attract new customers. Either way, this is a poorly run company that I could never trust with my belongings… look elsewhere for your storage needs.
