Pho’ Lavang

Great food, mediocre service. We’ve been here several times and felt we were in the bud light commercial where they had to trip the waiter to get his attention. We’ve had to ask multiple times for refills on drinks or whatever it is that we need. Not overly friendly nor attentive. Language barrier may be the issue honestly because if we order anything even slightly different than as described in the menu it comes out incorrectly. We ordered dessert which was supposed to have raspberry sauce and when it came without it the wait or argued with us that it wasn’t supposed to have it. When we showed him that it was supposed to have it they fixed it but it took a good bit of time.

I absolutely love this place. They are very clean inside, with a more modern look to it. The staff is friendly and their soup is always great! I’ve come her a few times already, always ordering phở’ whether it’s a combo bowl or just rare steak. Either way the broth is full with flavor I can’t complain at all. I do have to say though I’m unfortunately not a fan of their spring rolls and peanut sauce. It’s truly a tradition for me to get an order of them every where I go before my meal but the rolls are small, the wrapping isn’t great and neither is the filling. And as for the peanut sauce it just really tastes like cold watery peanut butter which to me isn’t good. Some days I still get them knowing that I don’t really like them cuz I crave them and its just something I order every time I eat phở’. But I think the quality is going to push me away from getting them here. But other than that this place is great for soup. And I also looooove their Thai tea. They make it extra strong which I didn’t know I liked until they made it like this. So I absolutely love it here. We will absolutely be back for the soup :)

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The owner is friendly and shows he cares about his business as well as his customers. I usually order phở and get it to go. I’ve been going here since they were at their old location.

This place is always great. I recommend the Chicken Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Phở. The service is fast and the place is so clean which is a huge plus because most Phở places have a nasty cart with stinky dishes clanging around the room while you eat.

One of the best places in lake Oswego. I I have been here at least a dozen times and normally get the Phở, but I occasionally get their phad Thai, both are excellent. The restaurant is always clean, the staff has always been friendly and most always prompt on service.
This is one of my favorite places, and I have never had a bad meal.

2^nd time back and the food was excellent! We shared salad rolls that were flavorful. We had beef Phở soup with the extra vegetables. It’s a little more expensive than other Phở restaurants that we frequent but the quality and service was outstanding. We met the owner Chris. Very personable. He made us feel welcome and at home. We will be back!

Came in to eat tonight because we wanted something warm and filling on this rainy evening. Had the beef noodle soup and salad rolls. Very tasty. The restaurant was not over crowed which was nice. Chris the owner was very pleasant to visit with. Sure beats driving into Portland.

Food was just okay (I had WAY better Vietnamese food)… but service was REALLY REALLY terrible… If you are going to open a restaurant in the busy business area like Lake Oswego… Please hire more helpers. We went there for lunch, there were only 2 people taking orders, serving, cleaning, cashiering, and whatever-​else. Every-​time, we tried to get one of the servers attention, they acted like they didn’t hear us, they just walked pass us because they were just too BUSY! I was there about 20 minutes, I looked around, ¾ of the guests in the restaurant didn’t have water, nor food and a lot of the empty table still hadn’t been cleaned when there are new guests forming the line at the door. We just looked at each other, made funny faces at each other like WTF! Lame!!!

Some of the better Phở I had in Oregon. I usually wait until I get to Seattle to have good Phở, but I was feeling a small cold starting and decided to try it. EXCELLENT FOOD!

This place was decent just a little pricey compared to other places but still a great bowl of phở.

I’ve only ever had the phở there, but every person raves about every beautiful dish that comes out. definitely try! and the owner is really nice.

I was just changing my review and went back today and as usual, they aren’t open on time. Only business I know that doesn’t have upon hours posted only closed hours because they are too flakey to open on time. Never going back again.

I love the food, especially their Bun (Vermicelli). They also have an amazing fried chicken wing appetizer. They make huge portions and I try to come here often!
The service is great, the staff very friendly, and the owner even makes time to interact with my kids in a fun and inviting atmosphere. I can’t say enough about Phở’Lavang!

Went on a weekday evening when I hoped it would not be crowded. I was happily correct. The first thing I noticed was how clean, bright and welcoming the place is. They have a pretty neat sky ceiling.
The wait staff was attentive but not overly, just the right amount. And the food was fantastic. I had the chicken lemongrass bowl and my guest had the beef Phở. Both were excellent.
I’m going back for sure.

Absolutely amazing food and even better service. The owners are very personable and care about getting to know you. Especially the guy. (Sorry I forgot his name)
I definitely recommend this place and if you let him know you’re a veteran chances are high he will give you a free beer. ;)

Favorite restaurant ever. Best phở. Try the salted crispy prawns. Lovely atmosphere and the people there are nice.

I am not feeling well tonight and the mister decided to get me some phở instead of chicken noodle.
Needless to say, it is delicious. He got a sandwich and that was delicious as well. Took a menu to go because I will definitely be back.

Went with my family last night and we all just loved it! It’s hard to find good phở places in Oregon and this has to be one of my favorite now! We got the house special phở, two phở #5, one of the noodle bowls, and the chicken wings. I had the phở #5 while sharing the chicken wings with my family and they were just delicious! The broth had lots of flavor, the chicken wings were crispy, and the sauce on them were amazing! The service was also attentive and very nice, Definitely going back!
If you go, definitely try the chicken wings!

Honestly, I love the food and I come here often but it’s almost comical how they can never get my to-​go order right. My friend and I typically come together and we order the same thing however we both have different specifications. Each time we’ve ordered to-​go they’ve managed to do some variation of our specifications and our dishes turn out totally backwards. I’ve also watched the man write down our order to make sure it’s correct, so maybe it’s just the kitchen staff… who knows.
I’ll keep coming back, but if you are expecting amazing service rather than just a good meal, i’d recommend some place else.
