I was so impressed with the service!!! I will be a returning customer for sure! For a while I’ve been looking for an esthetician (using Groupon) who is knowledgeable, can provide a relaxing atmosphere and address your skin issues, consider your age and what care your skin may need, and Anne really takes the extra time to take care of your skin. Her price is phenomenal too!

I’ve had many facial and skin care procedures in my 50 years of adult life-​from carbon copy chains where the care givers muttered rote sales pitches while giving mediocre care to my face. I’ve had body wraps which left me feeling like a stuffed burrito and pseudo skin specialists who knew less about my skin than I did.
I’ve been lucky-​I inherited naturally moist skin and most of my youth and young adult life all I had to do was slap on a moisturizer and a little blush and head out. When menopause hit, my skin changed and my former dewy skin became dry as the sand around Bend!
I’ve come to expect minimal service when redeeming Social Living/​Groupon vouchers because many of the service suppliers make little to no money off them. Anne Chen, owner of Skinology, sees these vouchers as a way to educate women and men about their bodies largest organ… the skin.
I purchased 2 vouchers, one for me and one as a gift for my daughter. the last facial I had was at a beauty college where clients were serviced as though they were in the Ford Production Line. I thought we’d go in together then go to lunch in Lake O, However Anne is a sole practitioner and only takes one client at a time. I scheduled on line, then turned up ill the day of my appointment called and cancelled –thinking I’d just thrown $ 40 down the drain. Daughter went, loved the work she had done and said Anne would accept my voucher past the expiration date if I scheduled right away-​so I did.
I wasn’t particularly fussy about skin care products-​drug store and on sale is what sold me. I requested an Anti-​Aging facial and added on a pore cleaning and eye firming treatments. It was over an hour of lovely scents, cool calming lotions and potions and a real education about the contents of my ‘Ponds’ cold cream (what my mother used), Oil of Olay moisturizer (ditto) and Avon eye serum and ditto).
I felt wonderful after the treatment, my face looked great and I ended up buying several of Annes products, which are all natural, no filers or chemical preservatives added and very reasonably priced. A trial sized sample of her Repechage Opti-​Firming Serum comes with the treatment. Though $ 55.00 for the regular sized jar isn’t the most expensive I’ve seen for eye serum, it can be a bit steep. But worth it! The sample sized jar can last a month, says Anne, with care.
She treated my aged skin much differently than she treated my daughters 40 year old skin. that makes sense — compared to the production line facial I’d last had, where we both got the exact same thing and neither of us were particularly happy about it.
My daughter said my face looked better than ever-​a nice compliment for a 72 year old to hear, even if it is from her daughter! I’m considering scheduling Annes special 6 treatment sale which ends up costing about $ 50.00 a treatment. Thats a never heard before price, IMO, for facials and most affordable for monthly of bi-​monthly skin care! When I think about what I pay for a hair cut and color weave it’s really reasonable!
Anne has a mens special treatment-​so you June Grooms can go in and get more handsome for your Bride-​trust me, she’s at a some spa doing the same for you!
I highly recommend Annes knowledgeable service, the care that she gives each client and her quality natural products which contain things like Blueberry extract, Jojoba oil and calendula. Reading the labels is like reading one of my Kitchen Facial Herb Books. Traditional herbs that have been used in women’s skin care for hundreds of years appear in a non irritating base. No mystery alphabet soup chemicals anywhere.
Frequent vouchers available… or call her and see what specials she’s offering. An easy location to find behind the Lake O Safeway in a cute olde style complex, it’s calmly decorated in dove grey and teal/turquoise.my favorite colors.

I’m reviewing both Anne’s service AND the product I purchased.
First off, I love the customized treatments! Anne really listened to what I wanted and made sure to customize a facial that would be best for my skin. When the session started she asked me if I’d like some skin education while she was working or if I’d prefer to relax in quiet (I opted education and I really did I learn quite a bit about my skin and skin care in general). She gave a very thorough facial and REALLY worked to clean my pores. I appreciated that she has a gentle touch but does get into the stubborn areas.
Her space is lovely, very relaxing, very clean.
I really enjoyed my facial and plan to be back again this summer.
NOW, onto products.
I am very sensitive to many products, from drugstore brands to high end specialty blends I will often either break out or get a dry patch. I almost always I break out after a facial. I didn’t this time. I don’t know if it’s her technique or her product or a combination of the two but I was plesently surprised that my «after facial glow» lasted for a couple of days.
I purchased her «Dark Circle Correction Serum» and a sample of her «Repechage Opti-​Firm Eye Serum» came with my treatment.
I’m 10 days after my facial and I have been using the 2 eye products morning and night. I can see a dramatic difference in both the tone and firmness of the skin around my eyes. I’m very pleased and plan to add the other Sinology products into my routine.
Naturally effective products, high quality services, attention to detail. Skinology and Anne have it all.

I see Anne periodically for facials and it has definitely made a difference. It’s also great to have someone to talk to about my skin who can answer questions and give sensible advice. The facials have made a difference in my ability to keep my skin clearer. Also, I am not the type who visits a spa to relax, but I can’t help it. I always just feel better when I get there and after I leave. The environment and music is very calming, soothing, and relaxing and it’s a pleasure to be able to continue going back.

I have to say I appreciated Anne’s knowledge; however, I didn’t have a very great experience. First off, her face steamer broke and all she could tell me was that she had two others but they were at home! Not helpful. Secondly the «high frequency» machine burnt my neck. When I brought up the issue to her, she informed me that she got it replaced. I feel that because I bought my groupon and used it, I didn’t get as good as service. Very dissappointed!!!

Anne is amazing, that’s all you need to know! I came in for a facial because my skin was so dry and inflamed from my accutane treatment. Anne was great, my skin felt so much better and the inflamation went down dramatically. I cannot wait to be done with my treatment and go back for more facials. I wish I found Anne before starting accutane, I don’t think I would have gone on it…

Anne is very professional and pleasant. It’s a very clean place. I got a body wrap and agree that although relaxing, I don’t think I felt like any inches were gone. I also got the hand and foot rub which were really nice. I even purchased the cream used for that because it was a really reasonable price. I like the ability to make appointments online and although it’s not the easiest place to spot from the street really detailed instructions are provided. i would recommend to anyone in the area.

Got a Lavender Cleansing and Relaxing Body Wrap Treatment from Anne. The location was easy to find with plenty of parking. Anne was very professional & informative and the wrap was soothing and left my skin feeling great. Anne even provided a hand massage during the wrap to make it the ultimate relaxing experience. I’d definitely go back and recommend you check her out.

My facial w/​Anne was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I have sensitive skin and her products didn’t irritate my skin at all. I left with a glow and more youthful skin that even my husband noticed! Anne is wonderful I would highly recommend her!

Bought a coupon for a body wrap from Anne. It was a very nice experience and she was very professional. The claims are that it reduces fat, not sure about that, but even so, it was worth it.
