For the record, I looooooove Starbucks. I love that my hot chocolate, cappucino, or tea will 95% of the time come out tasting the same. I like that reliability when I’ve got to dig in to work or study or enjoying a good cup of something with company. Along those lines, I find it pretty hard to find a Starbucks that I don’t like, as most of the people working behind the counter are pretty friendly and competent. Even at this location, most folks have been really pleasant when I’ve come by, and my orders are usually quite consistent. I usually get a venti hot chocolate, and a grande mint tea with one bag(because I find 2 too strong). So, I ordered my grande tea with one bag. Some shops charge per bag and give me a grande cup with 1 bag. Others charge for the grande. I’m fine with either because I get my drink. Here, I was told I could have the second bag on the side, but I didn’t want that because I’m done after my one tea. Then the woman(manager? sounds authoritative and definitely been there a while) behind the new trainee says to charge for the grande in a very condescending voice, as if I were asking for a discount. I responded with, «I’ve noticed different stores charge differently» and shrugged my shoulders because I don’t care at the end of the day. I think she misunderstood me to mean that I wanted a discount, which wasn’t the case, but then she rolled her eyes and begrudgingly said to give me the discount. Then I’m given a tall sized tea. Ummmm? So I could have a grande with a bag on the side, essentially get two cups of tea(which I didn’t want), or I get one tea bag in a tall, no exceptions. It felt like a weird power trip or micro-managing or something along those lines. Well, I’ve finished my tall tea and I think that will be the last one at this location. Everybody else I’ve dealt with here on multiple occasions has been so nice, but why should I bother dealing with that one meh character when there are so many other great Starbucks where I don’t have to deal with that kind of condescension? Bye~

I’ve been to this Starbucks so many times. It’s amazing! Parking is absolutely awful. I just went in to order a frappachino the lady there was really rude and said: «both of are blenders are broken. I was very upset. As a billion dollar company, shouldn’t they have proper equipment for their store? Apparently not. So I ordered a pecan tart, one of my favorite pastries. Came quick. After I paid, I was leaving starbucks. I went to grab my pecan tart, and it looked like she smushed it. Awful.

I give this Starbucks four stars for location. Its convenient to Lake Oswego and the Mountain Park area especially, plus it is in the shopping center with New Seasons, outlet stores and nail salon. Nice stop on the way in or out from running errands. The inside was recently remodeled and there is a lot of outdoor, pet-friendly seating. It would be nice if there was more seating inside, it feels crowded sometimes due to the small size.

This Starbucks has been part of my once a week routine on my way to a class in Lake O for a couple of months. I’m not sure if I changed, or if the employees changed, but what was initially a surprising combination of pleasant and efficient has turned into an irritating experience of curt and inefficient. Yes, I will probably continue to stop here for the remaining weeks, but only because it’s so dang convenient.

I hit this Starbucks about once or twice a year when I’m down in Portland because my company has an office nearby. It seems like a popular Starbucks with the usual morning crowd and the afternoon laptop loungers. I wish I could say something unique about this particular Starbucks, but it’s a cookie cut outlet, same décor, same snack items, etc. No drive-thru, which is fine because I always walk-in to Starbucks especially after a long drive when I need coffee and a restroom break. Look, it’s Starbucks. Don’t expect to be surprised.

Good Coffee. Well its Starbucks. The employees sometimes have trouble understanding orders or fulfilling them. The Frapuchuinos are very good, usually made well. If anything remotely goes wrong or different from normal on your coffee you get a free one. Overall a decent coffee shop.

Wow — friends don’t let friends drink corporate coffee! There are so many great independent places around, I can’t think of any reason to go to Starbucks. Sorry.

With over 12 consecutive years working in various office settings, I have had my share of bad coffee. Instant coffee, horrible flavored coffee, generic coffee, day old coffee, coffee made in coffee makers older then a giant tortoise… I’ve had it all. Now I do love me a great cup of joe, but if it is caffeinated, strong and hot, I’ll drink it and probably enjoy it. Coffee is a need, not a want, which is why I am not adverse to an occasional stop at Starbucks, as they can at least be counted on to provide a hot caffeinated beverage. While it maybe isn’t the hip choice for coffee, or the best choice, or even a good choice, it remains a valid option for me. I guess admitting to being an occasional Starbucks coffee drinker, is similar to being a PC guy. It isn’t necessarily by preference, more out of necessity and convenience.(Starbucks = Microsoft /Stumptown = Mac) So after a productive, if not drawn out, business meeting in Lake O, I was in dire need of a jolt of caffeine. A quick stop was made into this particular Starbucks, which to my surprise, looked just like every other Starbucks I have ever visited. Service was very friendly, and the order quickly produced. The Gingerbread Latte had actual pieces of ginger(Mary Anne flavoring not currently available). Not bad. Not bad at all… So there you have it. My name is Chris L. and I drink Starbucks. Occasionally. And I’m not ashamed to admit it. Well, ok I am ashamed, but it isn’t the first time I’ve been ashamed and most certainly won’t be the last.
