We really enjoyed our stay at Camden on the Lake. Room was clean, we had a beautiful view of the lake, and customer service was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that the music was extremely loud at night. I’m pregnant and we have three kids, so we weren’t there to party, so the loud music until 1am was a little annoying. Other than that though, our stay was perfect!

Would stay here again without question. The lake view suites are gorgeous, huge and really have everything one might need — including a washing machine. That said, the only note about this place is that it is a party resort, from the restaurant(H Toads) to the swim-up bar. The fact that H Toads is playing music starting early in the morning isn’t too bothersome if you room isn’t right near it, but it is a little ridiculous that they are playing music starting early(even at 8am or so) in the morning. Still, one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in($ 40 upgrade worthwhile; if you reserve a basic room you will most likely get a smaller room not looking at the lake.) If you go during the off season, it’s a beautiful and(mostly) peaceful place. If you want a party scene, go during the prime time of year. If not, go during off times.

We stayed here this weekend and had such a great time. The place has really nice rooms and allows pets. The rroms have granite kitchens stocked with glassware and dishes. Gorgeous bathroom with jetted tubs and nice walk in showers. The living room had a nice amount of space and a great pull out. Oh and they have a washer and dryer and a nice size patio too. The place was really vusy but really nice. We asked for a late check out and they said sure bo problem. Really seeet bell staff and really accommodating. They could keep the pool bar a little cleaner but overall it was great. We were a little disappointed that they primarily serve bacardi products. Highly recommend!

Security is terrible!!! They say it is a party place, but the security follows you around like a teenager passing their curfew. I will not go back!!!

This resort is well appointed however lack of property upkeep is an issue. Upon check in … pizza sauce on the nightstand… kitchen did not have forks, dishwasher falling out of the cabinet… overall lack of house keeping on a daily basis. The front desk staff is a total nightmare. Be very careful if you book online thru the Camden website because apparently they do not reserve lake views when asked and they treat you like idiots if you inquire. Specifically Carolyn… the worst customer service representative I have ever encountered in all my resort travels! She actually moved us from our reserved room to a better room that was actually her way of punishing us for inquiring about why our room reservation was incorrect. She mentioned a half dozen times that we booked online. I asked her why that was a problem when it was their email to me asking me to rebook my vacation. She would not answer. No manager on site. Carolyn moved us from room 615 to room 626 which was next to the ice closet and elevator. Security allows people to party in the hallways until well past 3am. If you are under age drinking and inconsiderate… this is the resort for you!

I have stayed here twice now, and I am just impressed. The rooms look nice and extravagant until you look closer. They are just not very well maintained and the lack of customer service is ridiculous(and no… I am not one of the loud party people that stayed, I was the quite, go to bed early kind of guest). After my first bad experience and an e-mail/review to the manager, they sent me a gift certificate to try them again. I tried them again this month, and this time I got locked out of my room for 3 hours because the locking mechanism broke! We go to the lake 2 – 3 times per year, and we will go somewhere new next time.

Very friendly place to stay. They definitely have to put up with a lot of drunken fools and they did it with a smile. The rooms all have a mini-kitchen which is great for breakfasts and keeping drinks cool. Very clean everwhere, great pool area with shade, a well stocked gift shop, showers with dual showerheads but low water pressure, nice bath products, easy to get more towels. One star off for the vending machine being out of bottled water(Ozarks in August– have one vending machine contain ONLY bottled water) and a seriously clueless front desk clerk at check out who seemed to be suffering from a brain injury. We asked her to check for a lost item and she just stared at us and then turned away and started shuffling papers. Then she called housekeeping on a walkie-talkie for about 10 minutes and finally realized it was dead and replaced the battery. Yikes. She should be working the overnight shift when everyone is asleep.

Updating from 2 stars to 3 because they renovated the place and it’s cleaner than usual. Now, the restaurant food is just bad, cocktails at the pool bar are $ 9 — I think the Capital Grill charges the same amount for drinks.

This is the nicest room I have ever stayed in. I got a great deal off the internet and decided to stay here for the weekend. –Beautiful view of the lake, can’t beat waterfront property. –The rooms are very nice, we were really impressed. Had small kitchen, fireplace, nice bed, washer/dryer, spacious bathroom/shower, remote control shades, walk out patio, and just an overall beautiful room. –You can rent boats downstairs, so you won’t have to travel far to get on the lake. –They do have access to a few bar/grill places. –Staff was friendly and didn’t have any issues during my stay. I would recommend coming here for a nice getaway, they do a great job here.

Great views, must say it’s the nicest hotel at the Lake but the customer service is lacking.

This is definitely the nicest hotel at the lake. It’s gorgeous, top of the line. The bed was so soft and amazing. I love down comforters and this reminded me a little of mine back home. There is a bar area with a small kitchen, real plates, silverware and wine glasses. There is a built in fireplace in the living room. The bathroom is beautiful. It even has a TV in it. Bonus for my husband since I told him the TV was off limits. I didn’t specify in the bathroom. There is a little patio deck to overlook the marina and also the band stage of whoever is playing. Most bands were pretty good, but don’t expect to go to bed until at least 10pm.

I recently visited Camden on the Lake in the beginning of the off season,(Mid-November) and was very surprised with the quality of the hotel and the room. First off the room offers a spacious living room with a mini kitchen and fireplace. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The bathroom is large, and offers a walk in shower and a small flat screen. While the bedroom offers a balcony and has an extremely comfortable bed with high quality linens. I was very surprised by the build quality of the hotel, very nice carpet, It feels so soft on your feet. The room also offers a washer/dryer combo, which would be great for longer stays. I have heard reviews that this hotel isn’t the place to stay if you are looking for a quiet weekend during the summer season due to the proximity to the Horny Toad Bar, I assume that it can get loud here at night however if thats a problem it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a non lake view room. I plan on going back next summer and will update my review, overall if you are looking for a nice relaxing get away I don’t think you will be disappointed with Camden on the Lake.

So ashamed of myself for taking this long to write a review! I visited this place in March 2011 with the significant other. SO romantic. GORGEOUS rooms… marble everything with a gorgeous outside patio thing, with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, dishwasher & dryer! SUPERNICE staff. It was actually snowing when we were here! So not much outdoor activities(as we expected going there in March), but they had an out door heated jacuzzi. They have a convenient breakfast/coffee shop in the lobby. LOVED this resort. I can honestly say this is THEBEST resort I’ve stayed at. WHYARENOTMOREPEOPLEREVIEWINGTHISRESORT!!! IF I had this great a time in freezing March, I’m more than certain this place is 100x better in summer! LOVEDTHISPLACE

This is part of the Horny Toad complex and what a fabulous hotel it is. Huge suite with separate living room and kitchen. Wonderful view, automatic curtains that fully shut(a pet peeve, those gaping curtains in the glaring morning light) three flat screen tv’s, patio with chairs, washer/dryer combo and tastefully appointed throughout for 159 dollar per night! Who would have thunk it, we have paid so much more than I even like to think for so much less. Only problem. we are at Lake Of The Ozarks, so far away and such iffy dining.
