Saw the review on Unilocal.Went to him with a minor problem. Fixed it immediately and would not accept any money. Just a goodwill gesture on his part. Very knowledgeable about all issues to do with lamps, very friendly and warm to do business with. I highly recommend him to anyone with lamp issues.

I brought a lamp in for repair to the new owner. I found him to be knowledgeable and very friendly. He refused payment as my problem was minor in nature. I would not hesitate to recommend home to anyone who needs these services.

I have an older modern floor lamp that was not working, so I took it to A Lamp Depot. They were very courteous and told me that they will check all parts to find the problem. If certain parts were needed there may be a problem as many parts on older models were no longer available. They were able to find the problem and the lamp is working like new. This little store is a gem. You are greeted by the owner who’s always ready to help you with your lamp, they even help you bring it in the store. You set your lamp down and they help you find a shade that works for the lamp and your décor. Great experience.

Horrible experience ! I took a lamp in for repair and was quoted $ 25 for the repair. On the day it was ready, Lamp Depot called to tell me the lamp would now cost $ 45 due to the extra work involved needed to repair it. I explained that it would have been nice to receive a phone call beforehand explaining that more work would be required and asking if I want to spend the extra $ 20. I explained that the lamp was given to me free and already broken and I really didn’t want to spend much to repair it and if they had told me about the price increase I could have saved the repair guy a lot of time and might have told them to trash it. Then they put the actual repairman on the phone to explain to me what work he did(despite that I never asked to speak to him) and then he said he was going to put his manager Monica on the phone(despite that I never asked to speak to a manager). She gets on the phone and was horribly rude, yelled at me repeatedly that she will be the one to speak and that I will not be allowed to speak. She said to pay just the $ 25 and never bring a lamp to her again and hung up on me. I called back and calmly said«I can’t believe this is how you treat your customers» and told her I am happy to pay the $ 45, but just wanted to explain my position and she said«this is how I treat customers with attitude problems» then she yelled at me again that she doesn’t want to hear any more and that the price was $ 25 and to pick up my lamp and hung up on me again. This woman has serious issues and should not be in business!
