Need to pass some time on a cold or rainy day in downtown Lake Placid? Stop into the Imagination a Station and find toys and crafts you never knew existed. Kids and kids at heart (I.e. My husband) will find ways to amuse themselves with all sorts of toys and creative items; BB guns, play sand, craft kits, science toys, silly items, outdoor activity kits, etc. Would be a good place to do some unique Christmas shopping for kids as well. They also have the standard Lake placid paraphernalia so is a good spot for any items you need to pick up for friends and family.

They have a great selection of great quality toys. We always find something new and cool here and the prices are fair. Open until after 10pm on Sunday night!

Busy tourist trap with tons of kids items. This past time when I stopped here they had a few different things than usual. They had bath fizzes for 6 dollars that were huge! They also have a ton of Melissa and Doug items for kids. There is a cool backroom with a black light that the kids will sure love to check out.

This place make 90% of their money selling rubber band guns. They have a wide variety of guns, from pistols to machine guns. The Hockey kids love buying them and having a war in the hotel. I spent my whole weekend, dodging rubberbands.

What a fun store!!! So many puzzles and games. Friendly, playful staff. Rubber band gun range. Lots for kids and adults to play with. They have the kinds of toys and games that boost creativity and build up those brain cells. Check it out if you are in Lake Placid!
