Always a pleasure! Today’s as cold as can be and the potato soup was calling us. Nicks food never disappoints! Ciara is so friendly and can almost know what we need before we do. The place to go for a relaxed atmosphere and a plateful of yum Beth Levy

Stopped in for dinner and have to say we were disappointed with our meal ! Chilean Sea Bass meal was very salty ! $ 77 with tip for two dinners and no drinks would have been ok with us if fish was not over powered with soy sauce. *Hint to manager most restaurants at least put bread on table, not here !

Came here on a Tuesday with my parents for dinner. Had the waitress named kyre, she was great, very attentive, and had a pretty cute irish accent. Highly recommend.

Get in there now & get the Venison. And Prime Rib. My bf & I had a gift certificate to Flanagans Pub. We had never been here before but we will definitely be returning soon & often. We were a walk-in on a Tuesday night and it was busy at the bar & dining area but not packed, and we were able to be seated immediately. My bf ordered the French Onion Soup to start. I had a few bites and it was great — the broth was dark with the right bread/cheese ratio. I’m not a fan of onions so I didn’t taste them but my bf loved it all. I didn’t order an app — we just came from a movie and my app was a huge bag of popcorn. Our dinners were amazing. I ordered the Venison & he got the Prime Rib. Both were well presented, perfectly cooked at med rare, and so delicious that we’re still talking about them days later. Neither of us had room for dessert, the portions are a good size. Our server was the best! She was friendly, knew the menu, offered suggestions, & was attentive. Can’t ask for more — Thanks Cathy! Or Kathy! Not sure if you’re with a C or a K… Either way, you’re a big part of why we’ll return.

We’ve been here a couple of times and always a great experience. Friday evening once when Anthony Sidito was playing. Lively, fun bar area. Large selection of beers and knowledgeable staff on their variety. Food is always excellent. Nice dining room which we ate in. Again, waitresses very friendly. A+ on the shepherds pie! Fish and chips huge portion. We will be back!

the service is far from good. most waiters and waitress are unexperienced children who know nothing about food service. dont expect cold water as the fancy bottle of tap water on the table is room temp with no ice. i attended a party there and the people were very disappointed. high priced, poorly managed and poor service. the sandwiches however are excellent but this not make it a good restaurant. no irish music and very loud seating around the bar. the only thing irish is the name. nobody smiles and at times yor made to feel you are annoying them for asking for whatever is lacking. which is a lot.

The best thing to happen in Lake Ronkonkoma in years. Food is reasonable and excellent. Service is friendly and good. Great bar too! Try fish and chips or Shepherd pie.

Such great beers available. Local, Southampton Burton IPA, and of course Bluepoint, plus Dogfish Head in bottle. The food has never disappointed. The Irish Dream Rolls MUST be tried, the wings are a steady staple and the traditional Irish fare is well worth the trip. Not to mention the«roll of the day» that keeps every trip interesting.

O.K. If you want to grab a beer, but don’t go for the food! My wife and I stopped in today(Saturday) for lunch, I grew up in the area and remember the old Bruno’s fondly. The redesign is very good, open area in the middle for tables and the bar against the far wall. The place looked clean and very nice. We were the only people there for food and the afternoon bartender came over to greet us and took a drink order, at this point we had very high hopes, but it DIDNOTLAST! The waitress brought us some menus and the choices were usual bar food, we had seen a rave review about the baked clams so we planned on trying them. My wife asked the waitress for some food advice but she really did not want to commit and finally offered«get the corned beef it’s an Irish Bar.» We ordered, Baked Clams, a Chicken Wrap and a Corned Beef sandwich. The server, who was different from the waitress brought out our food very quickly(we were the only ones eating), but forgot about the Baked Clams. We were hungry so we got started. The waitress came by to check on us and asked«Where are your Baked Clams?» I told her«I guess she forgot them» she got mad and said«me, no. They are in the computer» I told her to forget it, there was no point now. Just a lack of communication between the kitchen and waitress,(that is understandable when busy) but there was no-one else eating and why ask me where the Clams are? How should I know, I don’t work here! Anyway, we ate our food and were not very impressed, the Corned Beef was chewy and rubbery and the Chicken Wrap had no seasoning and tasted of nothing more than a cheese sauce that they use on it. The French a Fries tasted old, like they had been sitting a while. Neither of us finished our food and it left me with an upset stomach. Overall, this was a very poor experience. The waitstaff and kitchen are not in synch and you can get better food at Friendly’s just up the street. Needless to say we will not be going back.

Stopped in for lunch, great sandwiches! Family hit. Be advised that they don’t open until 11:30 am despite what Unilocal says.

I have been to Flanagans numerous times in the last year. The owner, Dave is extremely friendly and runs a great restaurant. The bartenders are very personable, as is the waitstaff. I have never had a bad meal… favorites are Fish and Chips(huge portion of cod), Chicken Kilkenny, and their Corned Beef is great. Good selection of beers, great looking bar, live music… just a real nice place to go by yourself with friends or with your family!!! Greg B Middle Island

We were greeted by a friendly host but seated in a dirty booth. The floor was slick and dirty under the table and there were crumbs and bits of food along the sides of the seat cushion. We moved to another table. The waitress kept leaving the table before we could finish ordering drinks or appetizers. Usually they ask if anyone else needs a drink before leaving a table. The food had a nice presentation. The pulled pork sandwich was good but the fries were cold. If we lived nearby I would try this place again. Good for drinks if everyone at your table doesnt mind ordering them one by one.

If you were a regular of Bruno’s, a staple in Long Island and specifically, Ronkonkoma, this place is going to disappoint you if you don’t like change. However, Bruno’s is gone, so suck it up and adapt to the changes. Flanagan’s is now a full fledged restaurant. Gone is the huge center bar that sucked up so much square footage. It has been replaced by tables and chairs that can accommodate more people for dinner and lunch. The bar food has also been replaced with Irish type comfort foods. Fear not, liquid lunchers, there is still a fully stocked bar, a beautiful one at that, ready to serve you whatever alcohol you may desire. The ambiance is much more warm and inviting than when it was Bruno’s. It’s less dive and more dining. There are delicious sandwiches on the menu. I had a turkey club that was excellent. Came with a side of well done fries which were delicious as well. There was a nice assortment of soups as well, which I always love when I am visiting New York in the winter. I had the potato soup and it was warm, not hot, but creamy and very tasty. They also have«Reuben Fritters» on the menu as an appetizer, which at first I thought… ew? That sounded gross to me, but they were actually quite good. The baked clams were also very good. All priced moderately, most entrees are about $ 12 to $ 14. Appetizers are also well priced at between $ 6 to $ 9. And on Sundays and Mondays, it is still THE place to go watch a game. After dinner, a DJ or live band comes in to entertain over the weekends and all the tables are removed so that you can dance the night away. They have an extensive bar menu as well. The bartenders are attentive and cheerful. The waitstaff altogether made for a lovely experience. They all seem really happy to be there and to make your dining experience a pleasurable one. The private back rooms for parties still remain. There is an outdoor patio area for those who smoke. At the time I was there, it was not set up for outdoor dining. Not sure if that is the intent there, but it is covered from the elements. So, like i said, if you are a diehard Bruno’s fan, this might not be to your liking. It’s not divey anymore(which was part of Bruno’s charm) but there is reason to love this place for what it is. There are still pieces of Bruno history there… and the regulars all seem to manage to find themselves brand new bar stools to take over. It’s got more of a «Cheers» type feel to it. It takes some getting used to, but it’s definitely worth it.

Solid neighborhood establishment. The renovations were a much-needed improvement and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Menu is decent but hit-or-miss. The good: the assorted sandwiches, burgers and wings are awesome. We had a great server the first time that we now simply ask for whenever we’re there(Quinn). Good nightlife on the weekends. The Not-so-good: Giant Grilled Cheese is basically a hot cheese sandwich w/bacon, barely melted. The chili was like paste — I was surprised that a chef would have served it with his name on it. Solid beer selection — depending on your server they’ll let you try before you buy, which is nice. Yes, I will still go there as it is a nice clean, fun, decent place to go, I’m just learning my way around the menu a bit when I eat there.

Fantastic food and ridiculously good home made ice cream. I was delighted. This is not«just another Irish restaurant/bar.» The décor was surprisingly beautiful as well– mahogany everywhere and plenty of space. They were also playing a variety of things on tv including some classic movies and sports. Will definitely be going back.

The young hostess who was wandering around oblivious when we walked in yesterday, was rude and dry and almost didn’t seat us because of 6pm reservations coming(it was 345 pm) nevertheless I was excited with the menu but when the food came it was barely acceptable. The cabbage with my corned beef was dirty! Pur dessert which was the cinnamon vanilla crumble baked apple had little black pieces– we thought they were raisins but they were burnt pieces. The waitress(and older woman with red hair) was dry and super inattentive with us and seemed annoyed to even be bothering. This whole experience made us feel very unwelcomed. We had to wait for 20 minutes for the check. Nobody seemed to know what was going on and it was chaos. I never want to go back here again I wasted 50 bucks and i had a tummy ache later.

From the service to the atmosphere, this place is outstanding. Formerly Bruno’s, this place went through a complete transformation from the ground up. They have a wonderful combination of high quality dining for lunch and dinner with attentive waitstaff, and active night-life on the weekends with a DJ, awesome bartenders and a great crowd. The owners are extremely friendly as well, and the entire staff in general gives you the feeling that they really go the extra mile to make your experience positive. Check this place out — you’ll be impressed when you do.
