This place is awesome for a party and cheap food but not for anyone looking for the perfect meal. You can get a lot of food really cheap and the atmosphere is awesome but the food is just regular American Mexican food. If I go, I usually get the zorbaz zuper fiezta= a lot of food…

As always, the food and atmosphere were great! Have been coming to Zorbaz for over 20 years and it still doesn’t disappoint. The Macho Nachos are a must try, but order the half order if only one or two are eating. The pizzas are always good and my husband loves the Colorado burrito. Plus, sitting outdoors by the lake is a perfect way to spend time! Zorbaz is a must in our book!

Razor thin crispy pizza crust and the sausage and mush was great. The outside atmosphere is really fun. We will be back for sure. Tip: You need to place your order up at the counter and then seat yourself.

I like this place ok, I’m always up for mexican. And in this part of the greater Brainerd area, it’s one of a handful of places we hit up while in town. Prices seem reasonable, and service is decent.

This rating is not just solely on food but also the fantastic atmosphere. The outdoor balcony has been remodelled this past year for the better. I love the area down by the lake to just relax and have a few drinks and play some sand volleyball or listen to different bands perform on stage in the evening. I love munching on some popcorn while waiting for the chicken nachos. You have to try the bloody mary bar on sundays… best around!

Atmosphere is awesome! As is the pizza! One of my favorite parts is that’s it’s right on the lake, so if your out cruising the lake and work up an appetite, Zorbaz is right there for ya!(Of course if you are cruising gull lake). One of my favorite appetizers are the cheese bread! Excellent tasting and perfect amount of cheese atop the bread! Staff is friendly, and they really make sure everyone is happy! It makes it a more enjoyable meal! I would definitely recommend this place who is in the mood for some good pizza!

Let me say that I am a big fan of the Zorbaz chain as a whole. My families experience this past weekend was enough for me never to go back to the Gull Lake location. We ordered our food at 1:00. At 1:45 I inquired what was taking so long. After a moment we were told our order was misplaced. They never really apologized and didn’t offer to comp anything. When the order did arrive some was burnt and some was luke warm. The single pop machine was malfunctioning so most of their selections didn’t work correctly. I realize they have a built in business and are usually very busy during the summer but that doesn’t mean they have to treat their customers so badly. I will stick the Crosslake location from this point on.

Beautiful view of the lake! The food is good and tends to be a mix of Mexican and pizzas. I have been here several times. The chips and salsa are standard, but order the green chili to go with them, it’s a hit! There sauces tend to lean on the spicy side — so be warned. For entrée’s, I have had their spaghetti and their burritos; both were excellent, but again, slightly on the hot side. Note: This establishment has not have wait staff to take your order. You must go and order your food and drinks yourself. The wait staff does deliver the food. You can go and order your first round of drinks and appetizers, and then keep you tab open. Come here to relax and feel the lake vibe. This is my favorite restaurant in the Brainerd lakes area. Good food. Great atmosphere. Excellent scenery! I love this place!

Just stopped in for an early dinner on the 4th of July. The four of us ordered a small pizza… kind of an appetizer-good solid stuff. Then we all ordered mexican. The portion size is penty big, and the ingrediants are up to par. Fresh tasting salsa is a plus. Lee’s taco is a surprisingly good value. Was our food sitting under the lights for a while or does Zorbaz typically serve their food luke-warm? The enchilada’s were tasty, but could have used more sauce. I went up to the ordering station and requested more enchilada sauce, which they cheerfully provided. It was also tepid, and might explain why our meal wasn’t hot enough, temperature wise. Overall, Zorbaz providez good value in a cazual environment

Can’t go wrong at Zorbaz! Their pizza is great and lees taco is awesome! I like it with ground beef and sometimes they have carnitas. Hammerslaggen is a must if you are here and make sure you don’t play the cowboy man w some red, white and blue on in boots. Free popcorn and homemade salsa. Late night dance floor action and live music too! Volleyball court is fun too! Cheap eats but a must on gull!

Zorbaz is an institution and in the land of loons and forest, one doesn’t have that many choices. Still, I have to report this latest venture to Zorbaz on Gull Lake, as it didn’t fully meet the standard. We had two pizzas, a salad(for someone going carb-free), two pitchers of beer, and plenty of popcorn. The pizzas tasted good and the beer was cold, but in a few ways I was dissatisfied: 1. We asked for no olives on one half of one of the pizzas; what they actually did was put black olives on one half and green on the other half. 2. The beer prices are pretty outrageous. A pitcher of local beer(Summit) was $ 19. 3. The popcorn was dark, either dirty or partially burnt. I am still a fan, but I was sad that they are slipping a bit. I hope they work on these things and that my next visit is even better.

Had a pepperoni pizza and it was good. Good tasting tomato sauce which made it a tree star pizza. Good chain that I would try again.

So I might be a tad biased when it comes to this Zorbaz, but everyone I bring here seems to love it just as much as I do. Its the spot to go in the Gull Lake area and that shows on summer weekends when the place is packed. The patio and deck areas are huge and great for summer days and nights. They have safe rides to shuttle you back and forth if you are in need of a ride. Although I come more for drinks than for food I do enjoy the pizza. They have a few unique pizza’s and they come with a ton of toppings. My favorite would be the Joze Zorbaz. Its a mexican style pizza with just the right amount of kick. I have also made the mistake of ordering the macho nachos all by myself. Make sure you have a few guys to help you because its a huge order. Being on the lake means the drinks are a little expensive, but I always say you pay for the atmosphere and scenery if you know what I mean. They do have a pretty nice selection of tap beers. Something fun to do if you are looking to waste time is to try to find the two s’s on the menu. I love the Z!

Used to come here a lot when I was younger, before kids. Was looking for someplace new, so we brought the family for dinner on our recent vacation. We sat outside and enjoyed the music from the stage. The food was decent, but not fantastic; we had pizza and nachos. The fact that there are no wait staff, and you have to order everything from the bar is kind of a pain. The biggest issue is that it’s really overpriced. There are much better pizza places in the area that are less expensive. It really caters to the boat crowd on Gull who aren’t price sensitive.

Any restaurant you can pull up to on a boat is good to me. Fortunately, parking for us on a Sunday wasn’t an issue at all. My group of 10 ordered two large pizzas. It was definitely plenty. The pizza itself was good but pretty much anything would have tasted good on this particular day. The sausage chunks were nice and spiced up. The sauce was good. But the crust could use some improvements. There definitely isn’t someone tossing up fresh dough to make the pizzas. The service is different in that there isn’t much. They pretty much leave you alone to fend for yourself but that’s fine by me. Basically, you just go up to the bar to order. They give you a number and cups for drinks and you grab plates, drinks and all that on your own. It’s kind of self service but they do bring the food out.

The food is pretty good but the people watching is even better. This place can get a bit rowdy on the weekends. No waitress, you order your food the bar. Tons of tap beer!

Zorba’s is a good place to get a meal if you want to get off the resort property. Of all of the yuppie restaurants on Highway 77, this place gets the most locals. You don’t get a waitress, you have to order your meal at the bar. They have big ass burritos or pizza, along with some apps. For kind of a douchy place, they have a great beer selection. Something like 50 taps. Great people watching. Lots of drunk young 20-somethings, out on their parents boats, rich old tourists, tired parents chasing around rug rats, it gets kind of clubby at nights, particularly on weekends. We had a pizza, a medium 2 topping was $ 13. Plenty of food for 2 people. Pizza was pretty good, chewy crust, the sauce was a little sweet, but all in all better than average. They have two floors of large patio’s, and an interior bar. All in all, its probably the best option in the area, unless you want to spend a ton.
