Turnabout Consignment Shop

The Turnabout Consignment shop was the first stop on my Twilight Zone Sunday. The Turnabout offers a odd variety of items from old Ashtray’s, clothes and Sports memorabilia. Shops like this are hit or miss. They may have something you have always been looking for, or not have anything that you would dream of buying. I guess it just depends on your taste in trinkets. Like they say, «One man’s trash is another man’s treasure»
The lady who runs the joint is named Jan. She does a wonderful job pointing you in the direction of things you may be looking for. She is very hospitable and welcoming.
The bottom line on the Turnabout Consignment Shop is: If you are a Nostalgia nut, Treasure seeker or trinket Collector, you will love this place. I didn’t spend more than $ 10.00, but I had a great time looking at all of the oddities. I never knew what was hiding around the corner for me to Gawk at.

Turnabout consignment is a strange little shop. There are two separate spaces, one for housewares and the other for clothes. They are both jam packed with stuff, but the clothing side is at least arranged well. The other side looks like someone started to store stuff in there 30 years ago, and just kept adding. There is A LOT and if you have the time to pick around, you might end up with a treasure or two.
Jan and her teenage daughter run the place, and the daughter was selling vegetables she grew in her garden for a school project. They are very likable, quirky people. I had went there to see about a table they were selling (which didnt work after seeing it in person), but I ended up with a bunch of vegetables, a shirt, and a great painting on canvas for under $ 20. It seems like she sells pretty much anything too, since there was a series of lacquered photos (from a local artist) and a set of 1000 baseball cards mixed in with the madness.
The shop is not really near anything, but there are a bunch of other consignment type stores further north on 41, in case you dont find anything here.
