Just to let everyone know this is not The Florida Skydiving Center or Skydive Lake Wales. FSC has no affiliation with this dropzone and this facility is no longer in operation in Lake Wales. Jump Florida is now located in Plant City, FL.

I went up for another jump. It probably sounds like I’m an adrenaline junkie, but I beg to differ. They recently moved their location so I was glad I noticed that change because they moved quite a bit of a distance away from Lake Wales. Anyhow this time, I went with a group of 9. I do not recommend going here if you’re with a large group, it will take a long time before you get to jump. We checked in at 12:30, and my friend and I were the last to jump around 3:30−4pm. As like last time, the instructors were very funny and friendly. I enjoyed my skydiving experience overall and the view. You could see Tampa from the sky! I did not enjoy the long wait time. If you decide to go with a large group, make sure you bring some snacks/food because there really isn’t anything in the area that’s close by.

This was my boyfriend and I’s first time skydiving. I was a bit naïve and probably overzealous, but my boyfriend pointed out things that definitely could have gone wrong. This place is a bit sketchy sketch with the plane taking off and landing on a field by a strange neighborhood and the check-in not even being in a real building. The website makes it look much more professional than it was. We arrived right on time, and didn’t get to jump until about an hour later. During our wait, an instructor and a pilot took a smoking break right next to the Avgas tank. The weather was bad that day; cloudy, gloomy, and about to rain. They decided to chance it to see if we could jump anyway, and so we went up into the airplane. We reached the correct altitude, but it was raining really hard. Went down a little lower where it was raining less hard. With the wind was gusting and the rain pelting our faces, we were told to jump. The actual skydiving part was pretty fun, but the boyfriend swears the plane almost crashed a few times and we were safer out of the plane than inside it(he can be dramatic at times, so that I’ll never know). My harnesses were fastened waaaayyy too tightly around my thighs, and I definitely got a hematoma on my left thigh. Furthermore, my boyfriend was disturbed by the fact that there was no proper orientation or instruction. We were just told to keep our arms in and our legs tucked behind us. While I think the people there were friendly, it seemed like this place is just looking to make money by cranking out dives and selling videos
