I was there on a Thursday night for a work party and the place looked like a typical pub with a live band. This use to be an Irish place but I guess under new ownership it’s Australian now. The menu still had a few Irish dishes but nothing Australian that I saw. They did have a New Zealand rack of lamb though. Anywho, the food was good and their presentation was nice but not a good place for a big party. I think they had a back room for parties but it was occupied so we ended up sitting at 2 different tables that had a border between them not allowing us to really interact together.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Brogues now for the past couple of years. We really love it. I feel like there is just about always love music which is great. Kassandra is such an amazing employee. She used to be a hostess, but now she is a server. Every Friday night as a hostess I remember she was always hustling and trying to accommodate everyone. She is also very sweet. Last weekend we went to brogues during the afternoon and she was our server. I was delighted to see she has been promoted. She is so sweet and very attentive. We had the fish fingers which were amazing. We love the Brie from here as well. Nachos are pretty good too! Thank you for always making our experience here nothing less but great. :)

I had the lamb pita and was very impressed with it. Sat outside as the sun went down. Great place to people watch. Derek my waiter did a great job. Overall a good experience. I would go back again. And yes the Aussie speak is heard at this location.

Holy Crap! This place really stinks. The place should just stop serving food. No customers. The place across the street was very busy. Stay away from Brogues!

I’ve been here a couple of times to eat, and many times to drink. The food isn’t mind blowing, but it’s better than your average bar fare. And eating it before a night of drinking is certainly better than not. They make a pretty mean salad. Of the food I’ve eaten here, I probably enjoyed their house salad and the Downunder Salad the most. Next up would be the chicken pot pie. It has good flavor and nice, big chunks of chicken. The only con was that the puff pastry they put on top was not freshly baked. I could tell it had been made ahead of time. It was cold and no longer crisp. Rather, it was almost chewy. My least favorite dish is the chicken curry. It’s not terrible by any means. I think I’ve just been spoiled when it comes to chicken curry after having it so many times in different pubs and Indian restaurants(I know, different style, but still similar). My main complaint is that it was more salty than anything. As far as drinking goes, Heather is an awesome bartender. She’s quick with service, makes solid drinks, and she’s very upbeat. I enjoy grabbing a drink and sitting outside to people watch at the end of the night. You’ll see some interesting stuff!

Three of us went. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. $ 13 sliced and tough meat with minimal fat, tasteless, little bit of shredded cabbage, sliced potato with I think it was horseradish sauce on top siting in a pool of juice. As soon as I took a bite and disrupted the food my sauce got mixed in with the water and that was it. Authentic corned beef and cabbage is served in juice so you can sop up with bread that they didn’t provide. So why bother serving it that way? I was still hungry, was NOT a good portion. one friend ordered Brogues Famous Chicken Curry $ 16 No salad, no bread served in a bowl with rice. He said it was tasty, the portion wasn’t too bad. My other friend order off the special board the fish taco which he said was so so. I don’t know what the special price was though. We ordered the bread pudding, service was big enough to split. I wasn’t thrilled with it because it had a coffee taste. I’d go back for the drinks and to hang out and listen to the music. Older crowd which was nice.

I’m not giving 2 stars because of the food I’ve had(brie to start then Greek salad-awesome) the times I’ve been there. Once we sat outside, hello cock roach. Alright it’s outside, I’ll let it go. Another time we sat inside, hello again cock roach. WTF. I’ve been to Daves right across the street always sit outside, never one cock roach. Been to Havana Hideout always sit outside, never a cock roach. I’m waiting to see this place on Channel 5 news for a bad inspection. Now I’m just turned off and it irritates me because I like the place!

Extremely poor customer service in handling problems with billing. Don’t ever leave your credit card here, my sister’s was stolen and it made its way to Miami at 3:00 am with the thief spending her money. Luckily, she discovered it was missing and reported it to Wachovia who cancelled it that next day. It is not clear how this card got stolen at this establishment, I spoke to the owner and their handling of this issue was extremely poor, basically accusing us of walking out without paying. I have never had my integrity questioned in 62 years on this planet. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone and they have lost our business.

Downtown Lake Worth is a cute little place. One day, my husband and I drove down to take a look at the shops and we got pretty hungry so we stopped somewhere for lunch. Brogues has outdoor seating, inexpensive prices and pretty reliable bar food. Since we didn’t feel like Thai, tapas, or expensive steaks, Brogues seemed like the place to stop. Service was decent, likely slower than inside since the server had to keep coming in and out. He may have been the only one working so early in the day, so not his fault. Menu is fairly large and includes standards like salads, soups, entrees, Irish staples, burgers and sandwiches. We enjoyed a salad and a split sandwich and the food was A-OK. Nothing to write home about but definitely good and filling. There’s tons of seating so I imagine this is a busy place during the evening and on weekends. The bartender/owner seems like a really nice guy and he seems to know and enjoy talking to all of the locals and repeat customers. Parking can be a bit tricky in downtown Lake Worth so you may want to park far and walk a few blocks or use the beach parking at the east end of the drag.

‘Ello chaps! Brogues Downunder is an Aussie/Irish?What is it? It’s a weird mix decour wise but the food is fantastic! I love the rustic vibe inside which offers live music at times, lots of dining room space and a bar area where you can see one of the big games on the screens all the time. Food is pretty good, service can be hit or miss. Brogues is located in the heart of downtown Lake Worth and easily accessible. This is a great spot and gnome approved.

The menu is ok. The fish and chips are cooked too low temp and the cod’s final swim is in a pathetic pool of grease. The rest of the menu is pretty run of the mill and, unlike more authentic Irish pubs like Tim Finnegans down in Delray Beach, it could do with a bit more pub food and, with the explosion of Irish whiskeys to hit these fair shores, a bit more depth in the bar in that category. Helps too when the bartender knows their inventory. I ask what older Irish whiskeys he has, and I know his inventory better than he does, having been a time or two. I come in and get a drink and then they forget about me for the next twenty minutes to cover the happy hour regulars. Not a bad place to catch a quick drink. Nice crowd, affable, with enough TVs around to push the sports(A little Irish football or Aussie rules on Sundays might be a nice hook and some FUTBOL as well, as that area is crawling with international fans of that sport). With some tweaks it could be great!

We have eaten here twice and the food was very good both times. Place can get very busy and we like sitting outside. Here’s the only neg. we have. Some of the locals like to hang out near the corner or in front of the crosswalk, and some of the language they use and make a person want to leave. Now I’ve been around some crude folks, but I really don’t want to hear it while I’m eating dinner with my family, including my nephew, who is a young teenager & my parents. Folks just acted like they had not common sense. Again, food was great! Peanut butter pie was to die for! Service was great… But, some of locals may prevent me from going again.

I just held a co workers retirement party at Brogues for about 80 people. I reserved the room in the back. We had our own bar. Cheryl was awesome behind the bar. The owner, Tania, was all hands on and very accommodating! Everyone loved the place so much that I booked another party on the spot. The food was excellent! Besides salad and rolls, we had ziti, chicken marsala, and pork tenderloin. I can’t forget the chocolate fountain for dessert. I’m normally not a fan of just a pasta dish(but you gotta order something for the vegetarians), but that ziti was so good that I had to go back for seconds. Overall great experience, everyone had a great time. Plenty of food, plenty of music, plenty of laughs. On a more personal experience: I’ve been to Brogues plenty of times with a few friends and I always have a good experience. The first time I was there many years ago, I wasn’t expecting much. I didn’t think I would be a fan of the menu. The food was more upscale than I was expecting I love the bangers and mash! Sometimes I wish that it wasn’t as good as it is. Everyone I go with always wants a taste. Get your own! It’s a great place to hang out and have a drink and a good meal and now I know it’s a great place to host a party.

The shepherded pie taste like chili and they called it down under style wth And the staff must go to the lady owner for her to open things up to get a bottle of wine

This was my third visit to Brogues. This is definitely a confused place — half bar, half restaurant. Half bar food, half Irish fair. My first two visits were definitely drinking and band hijinx evenings. This visit was lunch with the family. We had a leek and potato soup that got a fantastic. We had a shepard’s pie that was«not bad». I had s Greek chicken salad– the dressing was delicious but there was something off about the chicken. We ordered like 4 appetizers — wings, fingers, baked Brie, sausage something. They were all ok. The menu has some interesting selections that I have tried in my previous visits. The sad thing is that I could not remember what I had. There is also nothing memorable about what we ordered today. Nothing was so good that I need to go back.

$ 2 domestic drafts for happy hour? I’m in. I liked this place. The food looked decent. We only drank beer here so we just buckled down at the bar and did that while others ate. The bartenders were hilarious. Roasting each other while we sat at the semi empty bar. Even though they chatted with each other a lot, they were attentive. The décor of the place was great. Seemed pretty clean and well taken care of. I would not recommend the sangria. I watched them make one and their sangria is wine and orange juice and they are somewhere around the price of $ 8. I watched him make a few before we asked what he was actually doing. That’s when he said they were sangrias. I don’t know how the people drank them but that’s for them to review. I would give a meal a shot here, especially if I can get a $ 2 beer while I wait for it!

We stopped here on a Tuesday night for a going away party for a friend. While we didn’t eat anything, we were impressed by the amount of beers on draft(and Stella Cidre!) and that our billed was lower than expected. I would normally give this type of place a 4 star rating, but the patrons were a little sketchy, the band was WAY too loud for the number of people there, and the service was nothing to talk about. We will have to come back to eat some time to give a complete review.

The waitress– Stefanie was great. The food was good. We would do 3 ½ if we could. The Brie was good. It was a large portion. The mahi was average. The sausage rolls were interesting… Tasted like pizza sausage in phillo dough. The Thai lettuce wraps were my favorite. Very tasty and a large portion. The music was supposed to be a Rod Stewart cover band according to the sign out front. However, it was a very country band.
