Wanted to love this place but couldn’t. We took out and our calamari/shrimp appetizer was not complete, what we did get was almost nothing. We also got a pizza that was ice cold. We live across the street so it makes no sense. Update** we gave them one more try. The food was warm but unimpressive. Unfortunately I would not recommend and we will not be back.

Just flew in with the family(and had a big crowd) and was real hungry. The place is really nice, had friendly staff and the food was great. Caesar salad was great, pizzas too. Loved the mahi mahi special and the veal. Chicken parm was ok. Would definitely go back!

I heard lovely reviews about this place, I was super excited a place finally went in this location that looked like it might last. The tables outside and inside always seem full. So you can’t go wrong can you? We walk on a Friday night at about 7pm and ask to sit outside as it was a lovely night. They have a beer and wine menu only. The waiter came promptly and I ordered a glass of wine and my husband orders a beer. We decided to start with the Clams Casino, then we were going to split the Chicken Valdastana. We asked to keep the menu because we were not sure if we would have room to try a small pizza. When I went to order the Chicken Valdastana I asked instead of the potato they offer can we have pasta(isn’t that what most italian places do?) the waiter told me yes I could sub the potato. I asked for Rigatoni with marinara sauce. The Waiter informs me they have no rigatoni, I said OK how about penne. The waiter looks at me and says let me go find out. I told him its ok whatever tubular pasta they have. He comes back out a few minutes later and informs me that they only have fettuccine and linguini! Seriously, how can an italian place not have at least spaghetti. I said linguini it is. A manager walks out to the table and said«I am sorry about the penne, if I had it I would make it fresh, but I don’t have any» now let me remind you that this restaurant is 3 stores away from a Publix !!! Send a bus boy over to publix and pick up a box of pasta. you are are an italian restaurant. Not to mention the manager had hair that was so greasy and his cloths wrinkled, he could have passed for a homeless man with an apron. Ok so our $ 11 Clams Casino comes out with one clam missing any toppings at all. It was just that. A baked clam. Then comes our Chicken Valdastana. Its supposed to be prosciutto, provolone, mushrooms and marsala. Sounds yummy. When the plate was delivered it was a piece of chicken that was about ¼ inch thick(as if they took 1 cutlet and sliced it into 3 pieces, MAYBE2 pieces), but definitely not a full cutlet, then another small piece of chicken is on the side which didn’t even have any toppings on it. For $ 16.00 we didn’t even get a full chicken breast!!! Then its fettuccine time. There are no spoons in the table! How am I supposed to twirl the pasta on the fork? The«marinara» was possible the absolute worst I have ever had in my life. It tasted like the sauce from Spagetti O’s… yes the one in the can. Their bread was good but they pour some olive oil in a plate and just ask if you want pepper in it. No italian seasonings or anything. I wanted to like something, anything to make me try again, but just the bread isn’t enough for a $ 50 bill not including tip.

I have been here several times. I’ve had excellent service and great food. I recommend the meatballs with ricotta and of course red wine. This place is so much more than pizza. Good bye Sals, Hello Cucina Moderna.

Went there with my mom and wife. Started with a pizza which was pretty good, a little greasy but good. We each got beers which were expensive for lake worth. Chicken parmesan looked great but was rubbery and not very good. Lasagna was ok but kind of tasted like canned ravioli. Dessert was good, the nutella calzone was really good. I’d probably go back for pizza but unfortunately wasn’t impressed by the rest

Great food, great service and fair prices! Shared the rustic bruschetta scampi and the rugosa and prosciutto pizza! Also had my favourite draft dew south caramel! They also serve a delicious focaccia with a dipping olive oil gratis! Can’t wait to go back again!

We skipped the Pizza and instead had Baked Panko Stuffed Clams as an appetizer, Eggplant Parmigiana with a Linguini side, a «Healthy Nut» entrée Salad with plump Shrimp, Pecans, Mango, Strawbs, Mixed Greens, Tomato and Citrus Vinaigrette, Double Chocolate Gelato and craft beer. The waitress brought us a small warm loaf of herbed foccacia to dip in olive oil after we placed our order. I was disappointed with the stuffed clams. They were mostly bread crumbs and if there were clams in the mix my wife and I both missed it, although it was flavorful. However, the entrée salad and the Eggplant Parm were both excellent and beautifully presented, the linguini side was nicely al dente and the marinara on the pasta was tasty and not acidic. The Eggplant seemed to be sauteed first, rather than the standard breaded-and-deep-fried, which was great. The salad was fresh, fresh fresh. My wife ate it all, which is unusual. The Gelato we shared was very rich and extremely chocolaty. Service was very attentive and timely. Moderna is not just a pizzeria, it is an upscale establishment with sleek décor. The owners have obviously put a lot of intelligent thought into this operation and the quality factor reveals itself here. I appreciate this. Because this was an enjoyable dining experience I will come back again and try other items.

Can’t really post a thorough review as I only got to have their excellent personal size wood fire cheese pizza. Wish you guys luck in our neighborhood. A+ for the ambiance.

I ordered a large(16 inch) cheese pizza for takeout. Maybe I just don’t like thin pizza, but it was very thin, floppy, and slightly burnt. Seemed like there was barely anything to it. Provably won’t be returning. Normally I wouldn’t base a review rating off a single item, but pizza is their headliner. Food aside, nice place, friendly staff, although one of them gave me a nonexistent website as their own: , which isn’t even close to their actual URL of . The Menu page is horribly made, giant images with a sidebar obscuring parts of the first one, but otherwise a decent template-based site(as made with Squarespace, etc.).

Had dinner there Monday night; we were a party of four. The place is upscale casual, tastefully appointed and immaculately clean. The décor is truly lovely but not stuffy or traditionally Italian. The service is excellent and the server we had was professional and accommodating. We had their seafood chowder which was excellent. Their pizza is wood fired and very good if you like a crisp crust. Others had veal and chicken dishes and everything was beautifully presented, served hot and portioned generously. One of our guests asked for their side of pasta to be served with garlic and oil rather than marinara and it came out with browned garlic, oil, shaved reggiano and basil — a wonderful dish. This is an excellent addition to our area and we recommend it without hesitation.

Great grilled wings for appetizer, complimentary bread is amazing, I like wheat crust for my pizza which is hard to find but they have it! The toppings are always fresh and the service is always 5 star! No complaints here!

Helping to dignify an otherwise dull Publix plaza, Cucina Moderna brings a splash of color and panache to Lake Worth and 441. I tried the pizza first just to see what they were about. The sauce is good. The crust tasty and perfectly seared by the fire. I liked it a lot. I next tried the veal parmesan, trying to see how they hold up on standards. They did a nice job with a crisp and tasty breading and fresh and tender veal. While I like the crusty pizza, the service should have been less so. Nice waitresses but their ‘tude was more appropriate for a Chili’s then a restaurant that seems to be going for a more upscale vibe. This is a cut well above an Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill both in the quality and innovation of the menu as well as ambience. Welcome to the area!

Not going to write an essay here, the Pizza was excellent, everything we saw coming out looked great and every customer seemed to be extremely happy. Will definitely be adding this place to my «go to» list, as well as to my will recommend list. Margarita Pie with sausage.

Was there for first time with five other people. They honored our reservation… The service was excellent, the atmosphere was pretty good. Then the food came. None of us liked the food. The chicken parm was like rubber and the exchanged it for lasagna. eh… in less then one word. I do not remember what the other guests ate. The pizza looked great but was lacking taste. So the six of us asked ourselves if we would come back and the answer is no. That is too bad for a restaurant that is new on the block, because they lost 6 guests and anyone else that we could take there. Hope they take this to heart because I would like them to succeed

Nice Modern décor. Varied menu. Friendly server. High chair available. Relaxed feel yet elegant. Food was very American-Italian but good.

My husband and I tried this place a week ago and we thought it was great. Our server Octavius(?) was excellent– when we requested slight change in the calamari prep(we wanted sautéed instead of fried) he asked the kitchen right away and the manager came over to verify the order so they got it right. The meatball appetizer was a good-sized portion and had the perfect amount of garlic. We shared the salmon as our main dish and it was cooked perfectly(rare in most restaurants which is why we avoid ordering salmon when dining out). Nothing to complain about — hope they can keep it up! Can’t wait to try the pizza.
