The food was delicious, the service was subpar otherwise I’d have given 5 stars. Looks like a fun place for Cinco de Mayo. Authentic food and drinks. Definitely returning.

This place has potential, but it has not yet reached its greatness yet. All of the dishes they made were much too spicy, and the guacamole was not tasty. The atmosphere was fun, with lots of novelty, but the overall experience was mediocre.

So we sit down, I order and unsweetened tea, tasted a little funky and he put a lime in it. The we order the guacamole for almost $ 11 and it’s the name of restaurant you think it would be good nope. Missing lime or cilantro somethings off not worth the $ 11 and the chips were like pita chips which not a fan. And u have to pay for chips and salsa which I hate. Then I order tacos and I want chicken. Well it’s breaded chicken in a tacos??? That makes no sense. So I ask can u make it grilled? No that’s how the recipe is. So u can’t take the fajita meat and put in my taco, no! Wtf so unheard of so that turned me off. So I get shrimp, he’s like u want that grilled it’s like duh!!! Then I ask for sour cream(tasted horrible) they charged is $ 2 for a side of sour cream, I was gonna say something but didn’t charge me for our 2 gross teas. My BF ordered the tacos that came with 3 different ones and he said it was amazing! Said guacamole tasted different. I wouldn’t go back. Sucks cause they had like 4.5 stars going in so thought would be good. But el comino in delray is the best and I should stick with the best.

I have had a few meals here all of which gave been excellent. I appreciate that when I ask for something not exactly on the menu they are more than willing to make it as I like it. I think the prices are very good and I often receive coupons in my emails that are real money savers. I highly recommend paying this establishment a visit

The mole enchilada dish is perfect, not too salty, not too sweet. Fantastic fare, glad it’s there to go back to. People are very nice updating this review, the Mexican lasagna is outstanding, green sauce is delicious

How would one describe a meal at guacamole to start I am writing this review in the leu if that’s any indication of how my evening meal went. When my family and I were seated I was hopefull that my second visit to this establishment would not be as bad as my first when it launched a few years back. After all a new chef had boldly emblazoned his monicor on the place. The waiter quickly appeared and took our drink order which was served in clear solo cups and my daughter was handed a can of coke. My family and I thought this a bit odd at first but my daughter said«it’s like being at one of the family picnics» so we moved on without a second thought until we tasted our Arnold Palmer’s apparently the lemonade is sweetened with honey. I proceeded to order an appetizer the«queso fundido con chorizo» which the server told us would take 8 minutes and the rest of our dinner meals. after about 15 minutes the chard remnants of cheese and chorizo was delivered to our table with the hardest flour chips I’ve ever seen. My wife asked«is it supposed to look like that» to which he said yes and walked away. Less then a minute later he came back with another server and told us that the fondue has indeed been burned and that a new one would be delivered we could keep the burnt one in the mean time. My family and I were so hunger we proceeded to cut and scrap the harden cheese dish onto the flour chips as best we could. 10 minutes later the servers both walk over with a new dish and proclaim«this is how the chorizo fundido is supposed to be» which was only mildly less burnt the the first. Fearing how the rest our food would be we considered telling the server to cancel it and bring us the check. Oh how I wish we had follow our instincts, but alas our meals were in the window so we decided to give it go. My wife and daughter’s habanero cream enchiladas arrived drowning in a yellow(habanero cream) sauce which was both sweet and spicy and barely edable, it was only due to the fact that they both had not had anything to eat for at least 8 hours which gave them the fortitude to dig in. I had ordered the«Carne Asada» tacos which the menu said is 1 pound of churrasco steak but what I got was 3 small tacos with about half a pound of fat with some meat sprinkled in. I managed to salvage half a taco but lost my appetite along the way. I guess the waiter saw the look of disgust on my face and walked over to ask how was the meal. I told him I could not eat it and he ask«is it to greasy» I said«no its all fat» he then advised that if I wanted anything on the menu that it was on the house due to the fondue issue. By this time I noticed the look of disgust on my daughters face from her cheese enchilada meal which was served with some type of unmelted cheese in the center drowned in the habanero cream sauce(they don’t have red sauce per the wait staff). With my daughter and my meal being utter disappointments I told him no thank you I’ll just eat the flour chips.(they don’t have corn chips) and wait for my wife and other daughter to finish their meals. Please bring the check. When the bill arrived I was surprised to find that even with both meals taken off the bill the evening still cost me over $ 45. I will not be returning to this establishment and will warn others to go at your own peril.

Coming from a 100% Mexican… this food was amazing!!! I am so jealous I cannot make carnitas as delicious as their carnitas tacos were. The chips and salsa were made fresh and the Carne asada tostadas were amazing!!! Margaritas weren’t bad either!!! Great food. I will be here once a week for sure.

Guacomole gets a thumbs up from our family of 4. We were a little afraid to try the place out, probably because of the bad experience we had from the previous owners. Back then, the food was good, but the service was so piss poor that it wasn’t really worth coming back — and to be fair, we gave them 3 separate chances. Have to say that the service was excellent! The servers were very attentive, and prompt. But most importantly, the food was excellent! A little pricey for Mexican fare, but for the quality and taste, its worth it. My kids are not 11 and 13. The 11 year old is still more picky, but the 13 year old is getting more comfortable with trying new things. We started off with the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh and chunky. The chips were deep fried and crunchy. Bit on the thick side but still good. Just wished that they gave us more chips as there was a ton of guac left over after all the chips were done. They brought 2 different salsas, one red, and one green(more spicy). Both were fresh and excellent. Didn’t really find the green one a lot spicier than the other — it had a bit of a kick but not very spicy at all. My son had the Award Winning Wet Beef Burrito. It was awesome. The creamy cheese sauce was definitely different but made the dish really good. Hubby and I both have a thing for mole — and we ordered the chicken enchiladas with brown mole. It was very, very good. Usually they don’t give you enough mole but at Guacamole, they definitely give you plenty. It didn’t look as big a meal but it definitely fills you up! It comes with rice and beans, which were good — but nothing out of the ordinary. The only complaint my hubby had was that the rice and beans were just warm and not hot when served. My daughter, the picky one, ordered a chicken burrito. It was excellent in my opinion. When I ordered it for her, I had asked for it to be just plain with chicken and cheese. And the server told me that it comes with rice and beans, which I thought would be on the side, but instead came wrapped in the burrito — so of course, the picky one was slightly unhappy about that. She just had to pick everything out separately. But otherwise, she agreed it was good. All in all a good experience. We will definitely go back when we want to get us some good brown mole!

So where do I begin? Walking in, the restaurant is cute and has typical decorations. It is more on the small side, which is great, versus the giant corporate chain restaurants that just want the numbers. The waiter and the waitress were very on the ball with greeting and sitting us, and orders starting from drinks down to dessert was on point, very timely. Perfect even. The food, we had some quesadilla(forgive me i don’t really remember what kind as my husband ordered these,) as the appetizer, OMG! I honestly have no words. Delish. Hubby had the fajita combo, holy moly. I had the mole xico enchiladas, and where it really would not be everyone’s cup of tea, it hit the spot. I asked for extra sour cream just because I love the stuff, but AMAZING!!! We were pleasantly surprised, and being that Mexican food is one of my top two favorite foods, I am critical of it. Oh, we had margaritas, they were 2 for 1, and I’m not sure if it’s only on tuesdays, but tasty. My husband is not exactly a margaritas guy, but he even almost drank mine! For dessert we had the churros, and right on point. Waiters were excellent in providing great service AND with a genuine smile. We absolutely loved our entire experience and will definitely be back. Heck! My husband already told me he wants to make it a once a week thing. I’m okay with that. Will definitely come back, and bring my friends and family

Found a groupon for this place so tonight the boyfriend and I could check it out. The food was really good… Until we found a hair in the torta. We got the queso fundido to share which was delicious. He got a steak burrito and I got the carnitas torta. We traded half of each and as he is taking bites out of the torta he found a hair in the food. We called the guy server over and he was really nice about it. Not sure if the ladies in the Kroger are wearing a hair net. They only charged us for the queso fundido and agua de hocharta. The group on was $ 13 for $ 20 and the tab was $ 13 so I just used the groupon because we won’t be coming back.

Came here for lunch and it was just not good. My coworker and I ordered steak fajitas. The meat was very greasy and yet dry(can’t really explain that). Ice tea tastes old and the service was less then attentive when there was only one other table in the restaurant being occupied. I did not have a margarita and the previous reviews stated how great they were so maybe if I had ordered one it would have changed things but on a work lunch… well it just wasn’t good. I won’t be returning. I will say the décor is fun!

We love trying new restaurants and just decided to stop by. So glad we did. It was busy but no wait. The place is not very big but all of the tables were full on a Tuesday night in the summer. We had Chips and Salsa, our«go to» since we have two little ones. The chips were great. The house salsa was also very good but a little spicy for the kids. We shared the Fish Tacos which came with 3 tacos. The pork Los Sopes also came in 3 and the kids had a cheese Quesadilla. They were all very good. Good amount of food for two adults and two kids. All in all we had great food, great service so we will definately go back to try something else.

Tasty, fresh food. Margarita was awesome. Queso Fundido with Chorizo was the best! They have a happy hour from 3−6pm, we missed it, but we are so coming back. Service was very good, waitress Marcela was friendly. Place got busier and other people’s food smelled fantastic. I would recommended!

We were so excited for Cinco De Mayo night at Guacamole and was totally let down from the very horrible, slow service to the crappy food and margaritas! We should have known better when there was no wait and we got sat right away. It took 30 mins to get our guacamole and chips appetizer. The margaritas were nasty. The food finally arrived an hour later and was not worth the wait ATALL! We tried the place and were completely let down. We will not be back!

Guacamole is located in a nondescript strip mall plaza, but the food more than compensates for the lackluster location. The dishes taste very authentic and they are a welcomed departure from the stereotypical refried beans, yellow rice and something under a sea of melted cheese arrangements you are served at most other«Mexican» restaurants in the area. You can tell the owners take pride in their little restaurant, from the cleanliness, the colorful decorations, the friendly service and the overall presentation. The one thing that is odd, is that you have to pay $ 3.99 for chips and salsa, but it may be because theirs is of a very high quality and not your typical jar sauce and supermarket variety chips. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a more authentic flavor.
