Not sure how people think that this is the best Chinese take out in Palm beach. The only thing that was good was their steamed dumplings. My chicken Szechuan smelt like pee. No kidding, it really did. My friend got the sweet and sour chicken and pork fried rice and he got so nauseous in about a couple of hours, he thought he was going to get food poisoning. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone that cares even a tiny bit about food safety. And I’ve eaten street food from all over the world, so I’m by no means overtly hygiene obsessed, neither do I ever write negative things about businesses. But I think my experience was so bad that I feel like I need to warn people of what may come. We threw away most of it and didn’t ask for a refund or anything, FYI. All I request is this place needs to get its act together if it is not following health code.

I called to place an order for pick up. A child answered the phone asking for phone # and I gave it then was asking for address I said I want to pick up. Child just kept saying«Address» so I hung up. I don’t think a child should be answering the phone.

This is a really good family owned restaurant! The food is excellent, the owners are so nice, Min, their 8 year old, is an amazing child, she usually answers the phones, takes tour order perfect, acts as cashier too! You have to see her to believe what a lovely child! The other two little girls are precious! These are hard working people from China! Food is yummy!

I have been ordering from Kam Wah regularly since moving to the Lake Worth area, and have found that the food is consistently good! I have ordered both pick up and delivery… pick up is an interesting experience, as there are usually 2⁄3 children who greet and take payment! They also seem to be the ones answering the phones! Delivery costs are minimal, and the food has always arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our go to order includes fried dumplings which are delicious(although make sure they give you the sauce! Last time I forgot to check, and was disappointed when I realized they had forgotten!) The General Tso’s chicken is good, but it always seems to be the same level of spiciness no matter what level we request. Their pork fried rice is good, although I prefer it without the onion. Also I love their Krab Rangoon! Overall I have found this to be the best Chinese take out food in the area.

Filthy — the ‘waiting area’ looked as though it had not been cleaned this century. If this is how clean the area customers see is… what horrors await in the kitchen? Slow — order was not cooked until we arrived to pick it up and paid 20 minutes after calling in the order — total time for food — 35 minutes. Poor quality — chicken was extremely under cooked. Rice was overcooked. Ate once piece of chicken and two bites of rice — into the garbage it went. Maybe my experience was an anomaly … maybe not. I know I will not be back to find out!

We had three meals, not one complaint, which is awesome for our family! All was hot, fresh and just delicious! Delivery was fast and super nice guy. I’m ordering it again when I’m done doing this.

Ordered chicken lo mein and found it to have very little chicken compared to most. It also had a slightly sweet taste which I found objectionable. The hot and sour soup had plenty of sliced button mushrooms but none of the other traditional ingredients normally found in this soup such as tree ear fungus, green onions or tiger lilly stems. I might try again with another dish.

Great little take out place. Closest to NY Chinese that we’ve found. We only pickup but the food is always on time.

YUM, The person who took the order was adorable and she got everything we needed and wanted. We are vegetarians and she understood exactly what we needed. Our order was almost perfect. They forgot the sodas but she called right back that he forgot them and she would add them to the next order. The food was really good, everything we asked to substitute for tofu they did. The delivery driver came with a huge smile and quickly. It’s a great place for Chinese takeout. We were happy.

I found this place by searching for the Chinese takeout restaurant with the best reviews and it was Kam-Wah. The high reviews are completely deserved as the food is excellent and the staff is so friendly.

Since my first review(5 Stars) I have been back to Kam Wah a few times. My favorite food for those takes out has been Chow Fun w/shrimp & chicken and an order of Egg Drop Soup. I had ordered those two because consistently they were very flavorful. Today, unfortunately, that was not the case and was the first time I had been back in a few months. Both the Chow Fun and Soup were very bland. When I got home and first looked at the Chow Fun I knew it would be tasteless. It showed no evidence of what ever sauce had been used in the past having a very light color. The soup did not have a distinctive yellow color, was very thick with starch and also tasteless. Very disappointed and hope this is not indicative of what their quality has become.

This is what Chinese take out should be. Huge selection, delivered hot and fresh and the food quality is consistently high. With the size of the menu one might worry that the quality might be lacking but not in the case of Kam Wah. I have had more than half of the times on their huge menu over the years and every one was a good as the last. I also think that since Kam Wah is a take out only they, in this reviewers humble opinion mind you do a fantastic job of preparing and delivering their food over the traditional dine in establishments that also do take out. With those places the quality of their take out is always a step or two below compared to the sit in version of the same meal. I you are in the Lake Worth area and are in the mood for some 5 Star quality take out give Kam Wah a call. Your taste buds will be glad you did!

Only 1 review for Kam Wah? No way. This is the best takeout chinese in Lake Worth… and I’ve tried 5 – 6 of them all over the city. I am a NY chinese food snob and this place is baadass!!! The food here is as good as the expensive sitdown places like Dixon Lee. Their wonton and eggdrop soups are awesome, their chicken chow mein about as good as I’ve had anywhere and my Dad says the eggrolls and spareribs are dynamite(I am not a big egg roll or spare rib fan). In addition, you can get the lunch special for less than $ 5 which includes entrée, soup, rice and eggroll… and you will be stuffed… all the way to your visit to the can when you are done. The only time I was dissappointed here was when they left out my eggrolls on a large takeout order… but the food is always good and fresh. If you’re in West Lake Worth, youve gotta check out this little hole in the wall. Its as authentic cantonese as it gets… yumm.
