I got a variety of good-looking pastries, but I couldn’t eat any of it. Put it all in the garbage. Every single thing was gluey, stale, and nasty. The ingredients seemed low-end substitutes for cream, butter, eggs… And on top of that, everything was so stale I think it would have made you sick. Some reviewers talk about the fresh pastries, and there’s no way anyone could think the stuff I got was fresh or even edible. So maybe if they know you, you get something fresh, if not something made of high-quality ingredients. I would steer clear in any case, and especially if you’re not an old, favored customer. Even they get second-rate junk, but maybe it’s fresh, at least.

I stopped by the Union Bakery again after a 20– year break, in search of the great Cuban sandwiches I remembered from back in the day. What a disappointment. Cold in the center and under-toasted, I think I’ll look elsewhere the next time I get that urge.

Been coming to this Bakery since I was a young lad. Hands down the best Cuban bakery in town, all other cuban spots are just hype(Tropical Bakery excluded).

They have a ton of fresh pastries and some yummy Cuban sandwiches. I tend to get the media noche and my fiancé always gets the ham, egg and cheese on a Cuban. The staff is Spanish speaking so sometimes the orders are wrong due to the language barrier. But it’s authentic, so I wouldn’t expect it any other way. And they are super sweet and will fix anything. The atmosphere is great and is a hangout for the locals in the morning. Try their café con leche, it’s perfectly made!

Been going for years. Being Cuban and raised in Miami Union Bakery has Authentic Cuban pastries not some interpretation. I live in Boca Raton so I either drive to Miami where I’m from or Lake Worth for delicious Cuban pastries, bread, café con leche, cafecito … Try it you’ll love it

It’s been almost a year, so I figured I’d try UB again. Got a café con leche. Tasted like it had soap in it. Poured it out. That’s it. I’m done. Never going back.

Authentic as it gets, I don’t want white people serving me white food and calling it Cuban and making it into a chain store. I love authentic people and atmosphere.
