Very good pasta, meatballs were excellent sausage was very good. Will be back again to try the beef. Second visit. Just had the beef. Yummmmmmmmm. Will be back again!

Very good and the prices are cheap. The drive through makes it very convenient to get an Italian beef or pizza puff on the go. Not spectacular but not bad at all.

Had a gyro yesterday. Was disappointed on how much meat was packed in the pita. Don’t know if their trying to cut costs, but very disappointing.

Typical beef/hot dog joint, nothing special here. Food is solid, although the burgers taste like they were bought at the Costco right down the street. The Bella’s Beef in Cheddar with hot peppers is damn tasty and a large order of fries can probably feed 2 or 3. Go here often because it’s close and convenient and people seem nice.

Good beef, solid dogs. Love the milkshakes. I like most Luke’s, but this is a good one, almost as good the palatine one down the road. Dining room seems to always be very clean. This is a place I really should hit up more.

We live right behind them and thank god we do. They have the best cheese fries and best Italian beef in town… or any town for that matter! Delicious, quality food. They are very kind there, as well. Definitely stop by!

Well, I just tried this place after living a couple years in LZ. Here is the rundown.
Good location, drive through, décor, and staff. Very good prices.
The kids meal has to be coolest I have ever seen. The food is placed in a cardboard classic car. So cool I didn’t want my kid to wreck it playing with it.
The food is average. Still good but nothing that stands out or is unique.
Fries…far from the best I would say a 2
Onion Rings. very good nice and crisp
Wings. we had a dozen hot. OK and not that hot. Should of gone hotter
Ribeye sandwich I have had better at many locations. Mine was especially fatty.
If they could raise the price $ 2 and give me a better cut of meat they would be better off. The grilled onion and mushrooms were spot on.
Meatball sandwich was good but can find it anywhere.
They need to do something to bring it up a notch like make their own meatballs, toast the buns with some garlic butter, even more cheese on it.

I love Bella Luke’s! Huge fan of their Friday green pepper and egg sandwich! Soft green peppers and fluffy eggs on a toasted roll. The fries are definitely the bomb. Thin and crispy. My only complaint is as I do not live close, I eat inside the restaurant. It is freezing in there! I realize this is an unusually cold winter, but even last winter it was very uncomfortable. Staff says the windows are going to be changed. When? So, until it warms up, I probably won’t be there. Do not like to eat a meal with my coat on.

My lunch was terrible. My gyro was at best fair. I got cheese fries. I didn’t specify a size, so the gave me a large. I would have expected a small, or at least had someone ask what size I wanted. The fries were gross! They obviously needed to change the oil. In addition, the fries were undercooked, so the were soggy. I will never go back!

For what this place is, a hot dog stand, it’s delicious.
Hot dogs are served Chicago style. My husband loves their chili cheese dogs so much he begs me to pick them up on my way home from work.
Their beef sandwiches are my favorite and I’ve had them cater multiple times with people raving and asking where I got the beef from. I also love their chicken fingers, chicken sandwich, and tamales.
As far as their fries are concerned, they are addictive. Maybe not the best fries I’ve ever had but up there. Although my husband loves it, I’m not a fan of their cheese.
Bella Luke’s has become a once or twice a month regular occurance.

Pasta was good. Regular and chilli cheese fries were average. Hot dog lower than average. Prices are very reasonable though, and the drive thru is a plus.

Considering my other fellow Unilocaler, ratings, I’m thinking today may have been an off day as I was not satisfied with the meal.
The place itself was clean, nice décor and the service was good. I ordered the Cheesy Beef and found the beef itself to be very dry and overcooked. The fries were very greasy, and the cheese was sparse. The one good thing I did walk away with pleased about was the shake… now that was good.
I certainly would not go out of my way to come back here again.

Agreed, good fries, especially their chili cheese fries, my guilty pleasure. Overall, really like the Italian Beef w/cheese and hot peppers. My wife gets the combo (italian beef and sausage) with cheese and sweet peppers. A great place for some good food.

How can BL not already be on Unilocal,with the best fries you’re ever going to taste?
2 Chicago dog meal, split between 2 reasonably restrained and weight-concious folk, equals a screaming deal and culinary bliss. I worry about the day I’ll inevitably ask about trans-fats in the fry oil.
