This review is for a wonderful employee named Mary who is incredibly helpful, informative, and full of great ideas. She has gone above and beyond to help whenever I am in the store. The last time was right before the holidays when I was in with my mother and we were looking for supplies to construct hobby horses. Thank you Mary for being such a great help! Joann Fabrics has a real gem on their hands in the LZ store.

The service of this particular Jo-Ann fabrics was awful. When I first walked in no one greeted me or asked if I needed any help. When my friend and I got the fabric we needed and went to get it cut, the woman at the counter was extremely rude to us. We asked if she could cut it per yard and it seemed to be a major hassle for her. And when we discussed what we were going to make with the fabric she made sarcastic remarks. Frankly it was just disappointing. Looks like I’ll be fulfilling my fabric needs somewhere else.

I’ve come here on many occasions to get materials for different craft projects. I’ve never had a negative experience. They carry some items that Michael’s does not, obviously fabrics being in that category as well. They have some great deals when they have sales and clearances. I’ve gotten some awesome home décor items for a great price. If you are a non-profit organization, they also offer a card that gets 10% off purchases. Also, high school and college students can get a 10% off student card and coupons. Teachers can sign up for a card to get 15% off purchases during the school year and one 20% off one purchase coupon, and other coupons.

Be prepared when you go here. I was checking online for prices for halloween patterns when I saw that Mc Calls halloween patterns were $ 1.99. It was in a box marked«In store only». I went straight to the store, found the pattern I needed and went to pay. The lady told me my total was $ 12 and some change. I told her the patterns were $ 1.99 and that I had found it online. She told me online prices are different then the prices in the store and I told her the ad had said«In store only». She told me I was mistaken, I had read it wrong, I asked her to look it up and she said they had no computer and no other worker she asked in the store knew anything about it either. By this time everyone in the store was looking at us. I was embarrassed and angry that I was being called a liar. I went home and printed out the ad and went back to the store. I walked in and waited till she finished with the customer and showed her the ad, after reading it she looked at me and said«we don’t have time to keep up with everything they put online.» I got my pattern for $ 1.99 but got no apology or anything from the sales person. So if you see an ad you better take it in with you to save time because they don’t have time to keep up with the company’s prices that they advertise and they will try to overcharge you because they are not informed and really don’t care to be.
