Lakeshore Inn & Rv

June 16-​June 19, 2016 I had the opportunity with a friend to stay at this campground. Just beautiful surroundings! We stayed in a tent and did not bring the RV. I have mixed feelings about that. On Saturday afternoon it began to rain and rain and rain and pour. Rain was not in the forecast. I usually bring my pop up shade device, but thought with all the sun it would be okay. We needed it. We had to build a make shift pop up to shield us from all the rain. We went to Walmart and purchased three tarps, rigged it and was able to not have the tent get saturated with rain water. The neighbors from Oregon invited us in to play games and get out of the rain. We played card games and had a great time. This campground has cable, water, electrical hookups and a dump station for RVs. Our tent backed up against the lake. The morning view was beautiful! I tried to fish, but there were people with their toys in the water and the fish did not bite. The people that operate the facility were nice. It is a clean campground. I saw some others and prefer this one. They also have a diner and live music on Saturday. There is a pool table and a swimming pool. Highly recommend this one over the others. Also, there are cottages available. I thought it would be cold at night since we were next to the lake, but one sleeping bag was sufficient.

This place is soooo much fun. You can rent a cabin and stay the night. Great place to come and hang out! One of our favorite places to go!

Booked a 2 bedroom cabin for a few days over spring break. Initially, it seemed ok. Kitchen was pretty stocked with a nice cold refrigerator, a stove & oven, a few dishes and a toaster. Bedrooms were decent sized and plenty big enough for our family of 5. However, it got pretty cold at night, and the heater wouldn’t stay on. I seriously couldn’t sleep because I was so cold! Beds were saggy – luckily I brought my own pillow, or it could’ve been worse. Faucets in the kitchen and bathroom leaked, toilet kept running after it was flushed, and shower head was so low that my husband had to duck to stand under it. We saw a few questionable people when we were checking in, including a tweaked-​out looking lady cussing out her dog. We actually left a day early. For the money, it wasn’t too bad, but I’d pay more to stay somewhere else next time.

Do not stay here the place is for sale and is not what they said it was on the phone!!! They said we could walk to the water it’s only about a half mile away!!! Ya sure you can! It’s more like 2 miles down a dangerous road!!! And it’s a boat launch not the beach we wanted to hang out at. The owner is a nice enough guy but when we wanted to cancel some nights the women who work in the office got salty and rude with my wife and said no even though they misrepresented the place over the phone!
Some of this is on me for not doing enough research!!! We’ve never been to Shasta before!!! But Not
giving us our money back and being rude about it is just bad business!

I loved my prime rib (a special every Saturday night), and I recommend that. My wife’s New York steak, though, was undercooked (she ordered medium rare and the center was still raw, so she sent it back, and it still came back raw in the middle) and not particularly beautiful (had a strip of that hard fat you have to cut out, plus what I think is called silverskin). We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the fact that our dog was able to join us there.

We are just a half hour from home but decided to come up and enjoy the live music, spend the night in the RV and have a delicious breakfast. Nice cool breeze off the lake and plenty of water on Lake Shasta.

The old man was rude as can be and the food taste like dog treats, I only gave them a star because they had live music which was nice

Made reservations was never told no cancelation policy gave them 3 month notice OWNER is very rude would never recomend this place do not waist your time here

I wake up to a peaceful morning grab a cup of coffee and watch the lake b4 any one is up in my family. I couldn’t ask for a better morning. The staff is so sweet an the mangers are a cute couple who have run this place for 17 years. They made us feel right at home. Defiantly coming back next year

My family and I stayed here last year. Had a great time. Gorgeous view of the lake. Bar and restaurant was really good which overlook the lake. Band night was a lot of fun. Can’t wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this campsite on our road trip to Montana. The front desk ladies were nice river rats type. Our reservation was for a tent space and we were given a RV space, we totally lucked out with a fantastic view of the water and mountains. The site also has small cabins for overnight stays. After we scoped out the area we noted the other tent spaces were kinda jenky, cramped and inland (no great view of anything). The bathroom/​shower space was small and very dirty when I checked it out, I would give this part 2 stars, since I was camping for a night I had no real need to shower, thank goodness. The Inn has a outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and a bar with entertainment such as karaōke, darts and arcade games. I really enjoyed the food and the service at the bar. If I need to spend a night at this campsite again I definitely would, but I would definitely not for a week. I attached a photo of our view from our RV space.

Lock up your coolers at night. We had two full coolers taken our first night there. When we reported it to the office they said it happened the week prior also. That would’ve been nice to know when we checked in.
All gravel lot gets a dust cloud blowing every time a car drives through. No water access also. The small pool gets full in a hurry.

I love this area. I think this is a great place for people to hang out and relax. My friends and I went up because they offer karaōke on the patio and there’s no age limit. Karaōke is from 8−12pm on Friday night thru the summer. They had a huge selection of songs to sing. There were young children up until closing singing along with their parents. We had a great time singing! I’m not excited about the menu. I read online that they offer BBQ on Friday nights, so I went up hoping to try it. When I got there there was a menu with a variety of offerings, but none which I felt that I would like. However, I was starving and in the middle of nowhwere, so I had to choose. I ordered a chef salad ($ 10.) There was a generous amount of ham and turkey, but the lettuce was mostly white and the cheese was american. (Ick.) The waitress was ok. She was harried due to lack of help. She forgot my bread and tea. I got my own tea from the bar. I will return in the future with a fully belly, lots of friends, and stimulated vocal cords!

The Stalker club of Redding (S.C.O.R.) made a recent visit to the Lakeshore Inn. The review is on the bar not the RV park that is attached. The Club found the bar to be perfect for the area. Our visit was in the day and we understand at night it is a hopping place. Prices were fair and our service was great for a bartender on his first day. Ambiance was good and we rate this bar a three out of a six pack. Good place to go if you are in Lakehead.

karoake was never more fun. a very cool bar with great prices on drinks, pool, and a staff which is extremely accommodating. the owner was super nice, barbara the bartender is the best, and erik — our waiter was part standup comedian and part dj.
live music on saturdays is terrific.
