Howard’s Donuts

I’ve been enjoying these donuts for years now! They are right down the street from my parents, and a local fave! Made fresh every morning. So yummy and moist!!! Nice variety (get there a little early because they sell out quickly). Customer service is always great!

Very tasty donuts here! A standout for me is the coconut donut! Mmmmm! MUCH MUCH BETTER than Dunkin DoNuts!!! Very pleasant too!

I would like to give Howard’s five stars, but the fact that they run out of doughnuts and don’t make more is a real bummer.
Other than that, I have only good things to say! We tried an apple fritter and a glazed doughnut, and they were both delicious. The apple fritter was my favorite. It was tender, with just the right amount of glaze and flavor. SO GOOD! The glazed was also delicious; it was not Krispy Kreme, but it was awfully good.
What really made the trip for me was the super nice and helpful guy behind the counter when I went in. When I told him I had never been there, and didn’t know what was what (they did still have a pretty good selection and were only out of a few things at that point) he told me his favorites, told me what most people liked, and even gave me a «sample» for being new in town. I’ve really had some great customer service experiences since moving to the area, and this was no exceptions!

Howard’s was a welcome stop. The doughnuts were great. Way better than dunkin’. The owner served us and was about the nicest guy you could meet-​very generous and full of smiles. He really made our morning. Service was fast. The shop was simple and clean.

Howard’s Donuts in Lakeland is a great local donut spot. We don’t have a ton of options out in this suburban area, but Howard’s fills the need for tasty donuts.
It’s located in the strip mall next to Kroger. They have your regular donut options, a small cooler filled with milk and juice and donut holes. You can get a buy 6 get 6 free coupon in the CitySaver and save a little change.
It’s a small shop, so the early bird gets the best donut choices. Choices are limited after 9AM each day. It appears that they bake one batch and when they are gone they are gone.
