An employee of Advanced Auto referred me to Import Auto Parts when they couldn’t help me find a replacement for my stop light switch that had the same electrical fitting as the one I took out of the car. The employee at Import Auto took one look at my switch and told me I had the cruise control switch not the stop light switch. He also explained that my issue was not the switch but a missing little plastic part that he sold me for approximately $ 3. The most I got out of the advanced guy was«it could be anything». I like to try to fix the easy stuff on my car, and although I will probably continue to use the web for troubleshooting… But now on, before I tear apart my car I will be driving the extra 8 miles to see these guys.

UPDATE7÷8÷2014: I just saw in my newspaper that this place just abruptly closed its doors. The article cited the inability to compete with the national big box chain auto parts stores. What a bummer. Sad news for the city, and I feel bad for the owners. I hate seeing this. Wishing them the best. 7÷5÷2014: Import Auto Parts has been since 1974, and they carry a lot of OEM products that you’re not going to find in the big box stores like Autozone or O’Reilly’s. They carry a good amount of Honda, VW, BMW, Mercedez, and Nissan parts that are hard to find. I ended up going there to buy the Honda OEMATF fluid when I needed to do a transmission fluid dump and they had the latest & greatest in stock. Very friendly folks and their prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely be back as necessary.
