Linksters Tap Room

Went into the bar to watch a basketball game. The drinks were affordable and the staff was very attentive. Could deal without the smoking, but I understand that it is a bar, so that’s not that big of a deal.

Went there a while back, got a Unilocal now so its time to review. I ordered a drink and sat outside. My acquaintances and I were discussing guitars and general music when the waitress asked us to leave. This was my experience here. I would not recommend this place to others.

Great place to get smoked out by a owner/​manager and ignored by the bar staff unless you’re a regular! You call yourself a taproom with bud light on tap are you joking!!!

Attended a sponsored event last evening and Linksters provided the complimentary bar. One of the bartenders was charging people for their drinks. Shameful, since I was one of the few people that tipped the staff.

Small but good selection of bottled craft beers. Good service, friendly bartenders. The free trivia is a lot of fun.

Those who may have read some of my other reviews from downtown Lakeland might know that I was there with group of 40 friends. When we contacted Linksters and arranged to stop by they were one of the easiest bars to work with as far as accommodating us.
When I first visited for a moment it felt like I was walking into a saloon and stepping up to the bar, then there were the TVs and the Jaeger machine and I woke up.
Great place to stop for an adult beverage, friendly staff and a value menu :)

Good selection of beers. Well stocked bar. Prompt service.
Just beware this is strictly a bar, no food except a couple of small bags of potato chips.
This was my first visit, and I stopped in thinking I could grab both a drink & a bite to eat. I didn’t really get a chance to check the place out thoroughly as this time I only had a pint and left to search for food.
It’s seems to primarily be more of a sports bar as there is a row of flat panel TVs, mounted end to end above the bar. If you’re going to watch TV, recommend seating at the table along the wall across from the bar. If seated at the bar, the TVs are mounted to high and you will develop neck pain trying to watch TV (not their fault, as it’s the only place they could mount them due to bar configuration) .
There’s both indoor & outdoor seating.
I didn’t see any table service except when occasionally one of the bartenders would cruise the room, checking on tables. Maybe on a busy night there’s a cocktail server.
For Guinness fans, its served in typical straight-​sided pint glasses. Not a big deal and at least the glass was clean with very little detergent residue.
I’ll be back here and hopefully I’ll be able to give it a higher rating than just 3 stars (which is incidentally isn’t a bad rating, it’s an ‘A-​OK’ rating). I could see myself becoming a fan (4-​stars) — time will tell.

Linksters — nice bar with a little seating outside. This is a smoking bar so if you are used to non-​smoking here is your warning. They have lots of drinks to pick from and on-​tap. The waitress was attentive and really listened to what we wanted, even recommended a few different drink she thought we would enjoy and we did! We even took a six pack back to our hotel and hope we can find the organic chocolate stout where we live.
