I really wanted to like this place. My family has been coming to this location since it was called Schmiggs, and then Borderline. Both of those places were decent. The food at Shiners is inconsistent at best. About a year ago the burgers were spot-on. That quality has since declined. But the service has been consistently terrible. They always seem to be understaffed, and simple bar food(burger and fries) usually takes around an hour to come out. We always leave here frustrated and annoyed. And it’s not exactly cheap, either. After yet another terrible dining experience tonight, we’ve finally decided to call it quits with Shiners. The food is just not good enough to make up for the awful service.

Even though it was only $ 5, the breakfast took 45 minutes to get. Once here, the eggs Benedict was runny and tasteless. Only two people working on Sat morning. Slow and horrible. Go to the Bungalow instead.

Great bar food! Shuffleboard table is too much fun! And very friendly staff! Keep it up kids!

Shiner on tap happy hour app specials atmosphere a little more like a super club vs a bar the actual bar is more like a counter at a Steak ‘n Shake. You can see the fryer and it is much like sitting up at somebody’s kitchen counter watching them prepare food and serve people. Not a typical bar in that sense. If you have a group and just want to put a few back and enjoy talking this is a good place to do it. The staff was friendly, they have a big variety on the menu, and plenty of elbow room to get around. The bathroom was very clean. I had boneless and bone in wings with dry rub, fried pizza dough parmasean bites, a little burger, tater tots and a couple beers. Nothing was bad but nothing was knock my socks off good – except for the Shiner on tap — now that was awesome and I would stop in here just for that!
