Excellent selection of bagels and cream cheese as well as breakfast items. I intend to return to try the various assorted sandwiches they have. I would recommend this place

This place is so good we came back again today. Seriously good stuff. The bagels are the real deal. Maybe better than the NYC because it’s warmer here. Cannoli are excellent. The Gypsy bagel is like everything comfy on a plate. Great service too. This place is officially on our«go to» list.

The lady behind counter is always rude to me I won’t be back ever again. The food is overpriced. She also has a condescending attitude. For a new business I feel they should treat their customers better in this economy. Restaurants come and go these days

So good! Service was as awesome as the food! We recommend their housemade roast beef! We tried both the Aunt Phillie & the Chubby(just wish I wold have left off the Italian dressing.) And the Devilsfood cheesecake is simply sinful! So much chocolate! We will be back! Want to try bagels, more sandwiches more cheesecake, and probably a cannolli :) it all looked so good!

First time to Uncle Nicks and it a small clean deli. Had the everything bagel with cream cheese, lox & onion. It was what you expect but it could have had more lox on the bagel. They have muffins that look great but after asking if they made them & they said they are from a bakery up north I figured how fresh can they be. Had 3 choices of coffee you get yourself & it was good

Best bagels in Lakeland. Friendly staff. It’s a Sunday breakfast tradition that I hope never goes away. Support local business and eat at Nicks! Make sure your order the gypsy. Open faced bagels with fried egg. The best!

Uncle Nick’s brings something new to the Lakeland restaurant scene: a place to get good quality bagels. I have visited on three occasions and have had good food each time. I have tried the JD’s Gypsy, the Asiago Bagel with Lox Spread and the Joe D. The JD’s Gypsy is an open face bagel with a fried egg in the center, a side of bacon and a hashbrown. The bagel was nicely toasted and very soft on the inside and the fried egg was nicely cooked with a lightly runny yolk in the center. The side of bacon was lightly crispy and meaty. The Asiago Bagel with Lox Spread was also very soft and the Lox Spread was very creamy with bits of tasty salmon. The Joe D is one of the sandwich options which includes flavorful prosciutto, thick slices of mozzarella, crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, sweet roasted peppers and a delicious Italian dressing. Overall, Uncle Nick’s is a nice addition to Lakeland’s food scene.

Woke up this morning and decided I wanted fresh bagels. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff. They were courteous and very friendly, since it was 8 am it was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a dozen bagels and was quickly on my way back home. When I got home I followed the«recommended» way to heat up a bagel that I found on the website. My wife and I agree, this place is delicious and we will be going back soon.

Delicious!!! Went with my mom and we both had Reuben’s, there were so good!!! Loved how they use mustard instead of thousand island dressing!!! A true New York Deli!!! The bakery goodies are delicious also!!! My only regret is that they were not here when I lived in Mulberry!!! Will definitely be back for a visit!!!

I’ve never considered myself a bagel guy so my first couple trips in I had a sub sandwich. These subs were delicious and certainly had me hooked. Recently I finally tried the bagels and it was like a flavor explosion. If you’re in the area you have to stop in and try this place. They’ve got something very special going in here.

So happy to find a good bagel place in Lakeland! We haven’t had good bagels around here since the now defunct Lakeland Bagels changed their authentic recipe to accommodate what many of their customers labeled«stale.» Anyway… Apparently there had been a rush just before we got there, as there were only a few bagels available when we arrived around 10:30AM. I couldn’t get an everything bagel, which is my favorite, but they had one garlic left so I asked for that — toasted with lox and cream cheese. Gray asked for the Philly sandwich. Despite my dining companion’s multiple reminders that I wanted the bagel toasted, it was not toasted when it arrived. Oh well, it was good nonetheless. A tad light on the lox, but still tasty. Instead of the«Aunt Philly»(Philly cheesesteak) he ordered, Gray was served a Huckabuck. Oops… But this turned out to be a fortuitous mistake. It was crispy, melty and all ’round delicious. If the cheesesteak turns out on a future visit to be as good as the Huckabuck, it will be yummy indeed. Sam, apparently a manager, was apologetic for the mishaps and did all he could to make it right, which we appreciated. The café is neat, clean, and appealing with adequate seating inside and out. The deli case also offered several decadent desserts. The food is excellent, and the waitstaff and management are friendly & helpful(if a tad scattered on the front end). It’s obvious they care about putting out a quality product, and we will definitely return.

I was here for breakfast and would like to try lunch sometime soon. The food was good, but I would like to make a couple of suggestions — Heavy-handed with the butter on the bagels, I could wring out the butter in mine. Also, the music was blaring, so much that I could not talk to the person across from me.

We’ve been twice, lunch and bagels to go. It was jam packed on a Tuesday at 1:30. The owner was walking, talking to customers, making canoli, and passing them out. Delicious canoli, although the shells are mass produced. I had the Reuben with potato salad. The bread was super fresh, very good Reuben. The potato salad had good flavor, very light on mayo with a slight Italian dressing taste. The potatoes were so under cooked that they crunched. Hubby had the chicken BBQ sandwich with macaroni salad. He liked the sandwich; especially the bread, but said it was dry. The macaroni salad was pasta salad with orrichetti pasta. Picked up two everything bagels with veggie cream cheese today. Bagels were tasty, lightly toasted, plenty of cream cheese, but no veggies. The veggies are decorating the cream cheese and not mixed throughout. These are simple tweaks needed. We will return. Hope this restaurant is very successful.

Came in with low expectation as I have travelled the country looking for a decent bagel /breakfast sandwich only to be referred to goldbergs, Einstein bagels or even panera. I was delightfully pleased. The bagels are definetely the best in the area. I personally would recommend the breakfast sandwiches. My wife who is from NJ was especially ecstatic that they had Taylor Ham egg and cheese, something you cannot find anywhere else. It’s nice that it doesn’t have that chain restaurant feel, you feel like it’s a mom and pop place. I highly recommend it!!!

Ahh, another cool spot in Lakeland and a stone’s throw from home. My oldest and I have bagels every morning at home for breakfast, so having them close by is super and lucky for us. My wife and I decided to try Uncle Nick’s for breakfast. I had the lox and cream cheese w/all of the usual(must have) accoutrements, and my wife ordered a breakfast bagel with ham & cheese. Both were… DELISH.(You can get them toasted or un-toasted btw) We brought home the dozen special with cream cheese for the week. My boys tore through two of their french toast bagels like no one’s business; a good sign! We’ll be back. You can count on it.

In Bagel Shops, this is a 5-star place and probably one of the best small scale«delis» in Lakeland. I had an everything bagel for my maiden voyage. Asked for toasted, came untoasted(or so lightly toasted it wasn’t recognizable as toasted). The inhouse-made bagel itself was divine, doughy, dense and flavorful. It’s rare on an Everything that you can taste the flavors(It was a little heavy on the garlic salt but was glad for the flavor.) I enjoyed their homemade veggie spread though it was lighter on the veggies than the old Lakeland Bagel. The bagel was so good, I turned around and bought six bagels to go – pumpernickel, French toast, salted, Everything Egg, and got a poppy seed when I’d asked for sesame seed. I will enjoy trying them all. They were out of cinnamon. I enjoyed a sample of the deep fried breaded eggplant. Good cold, would be good hot but very«bready», sold by the pound. They had many good looking salads in the cold case and some heavenly cheesecake I’ll save for next visit. They sell some Italian groceries like pickled roasted peppers or dried pasta. The place is huge with seating inside and out – it is clean and nice, not divey like so much in that area. They are helpful, informative and anxious to please. Certainly worth your visit and my returns!

So glad we have a local bagel shop so close to home. Had a bagel with cream cheese and it reminded me of the ones I used to get on the way to school growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back to try their other items.

Tried this place for lunch. Ordered an Italian style sub, which came with pickle spear, and two bites of coleslaw for $ 10. It had ham, which dominated the sub, one slice of pepperoni and one slice of salami, topped with tomatoes, lettuce and house sauce. I’m not saying it was bad just underwhelming. Basically $ 10 for a ham sandwich.
