My wife and I have been to this urgent care twice. Both times the staff was friendly and efficient. Both doctors were easy to talk to and concerned about our problems. They were competent and made us feel at ease. We live in Winter Haven and will drive the distance again if we ever require urgent care services again. I highly recommend.

This Urgent Care has the best hours and has options for greater xray and labs. It recently opened in a new«larger» section of the main medical building. The first thing you discover is the lack of parking spaces due to over 100(seemingly) handicapped spaces. Once inside the door you are met by two clerks behind large desktop computers who«take your money and ask you to sit down». The waiting room is large and has TVs going with no sound and no captions(and icky music playing over ceiling speakers too loud for my tastes). Then a medical assistant takes your blood pressure and asks your complaint and asks you to go sit down again.(too much up and down for me but it makes it look like they are seeing you more quickly). Then you are led to a med roo with large sliding glass doors and bath curtains for privacy. My room was interrupted by a guy searching for supplies in the tool shed case that housed them in my room. Not even an «excuse me». From there I was led to a dingy small lab. I sat in the only chair over 15 minutes, surrounded by five trash cans – the one that touched my leg had a red bag. Next to it was a drippy stainy regular trash can. On my right were two needle trash cans, one with wet blood splatters around the outside lip. Across from me was a large can full of gross drip stains on the outside. It was pretty disgusting for«Watson Clinic standards». The tech was measuring out someone else’s urine right in front of me and putting it on the machine. Then she approached me to draw blood without changing gloves or washing hands. ick. She did change at my request(and acted like she would have all along). When I got moved to another procedure room, I passed a girl in pink sitting on a counter top(very unprofessional). The nurses wore black. I got a really old one who did not appear happy to be working. There was a lot of staff for few clients. The xray girl was wonderful and professional. The doctor was excellent. Her plan for my care was sensical. The other emergency dr(male) does not have a good rep. I was in and out in about two hours. While I ultimately had a good experience, I’m hoping the issues noted get«fixed». I would use the smaller urgent cares if the available hours or need for more advanced equipment weren’t factors. ALLLLL others were cleaner than this one.
