Nice little park with a walking path, playground, and tennis court. The playground is more for younger children; my daughter gets a little bored with it sometimes. There are misters in the warmer months, which all the kids love! The walking path is small… I need a pedometer to clock it, but I’m guessing 1 lap around is 1⁄3 mile? It works for me because I’m never too far from the playground and my puppy doesn’t get too tired.(Okay, I don’t get too tired, either) I’ve never utilized the tennis court(or a tennis ball or racket, for that matter), but as I look at it, I can just imagine myself in a little white tennis outfit, making those stupid noises as I serve, a la’ Serena Williams. Someday. As a woman, I like that the park is right next to the fire department. I know it’s Lakeland, but crime happens everywhere. Having the fire dept. right there makes me feel safer if there’s no one else at the park and I am walking alone.
