Aztec Grill

My husband and I have eaten at Aztec Grill for 17 years and have always LOVE their food. This was our first trip to the Lakeport branch and we where SO disappointed. The rice was a brown color and Very greasy. The overall flavor of our burritos was gross. We added salt but it made it barely tolerable. we didn’t finish our food and left.
So Dissapointed!

I had the shrimp tacos they were delicious & the workers were very nice. Everyone working was very !

Great homemade Mexican food, ordered t0 your preferences, everything is fresh and the cooks are very experienced at putting together wonderful Mexican meals. Make sure you get your chips and salsa along with your meal, because it comes with it. You can choose mild or spicy, and they do have a secret super hot oil in the back if you are a chili head. If I was to pick one for Mexican food in town, it would be here or La Fiesta, both of them are very authentic and you really can’t go wrong. I do like La Fiesta because of the atmosphere, as a gas station just doesn’t have as much personality as a small Mexican market with a panadaria. The other Mexican restaurant across the street from here, taqueria la Mexicana is also just as good the couple of times I’ve eaten there, I just don’t have the experience eating there is much as I do the other two.

The food here is mediocre (a little bland), but I have never been treated more RUDELY in my life. Came in to buy some energy drinks and order food to go and my boyfriend had to say 3 times to the lady at the counter that we wanted food also before she would take our order for the food. She acted like it was a big inconvenience. She was so incredibly rude the whole time and when I finished paying, I thanked her (instead of the other way around) and she ignored me. When our food was ready and my boyfriend (who is Mexican-​American) went to pick up the bag, he politely asked the other kitchen lady in Spanish for some extra salsa and she answered him in Spanish (she was not rude) and gave it to him. The rude Caucasian lady then put her hands on her hips, looked at my boyfriend and said «REALLY?!!» Not wanting to stoop to her level, he ignored her and we left. This experience of being treated this way ruined our day. Never would of thought such blatant racism still existed in California. If you are of color, DON’T GO HERE!
