The rice bowl sucks, the rice was mushy ant the meat was chewy and too much ginger. I won’t be back wholly bowl

The teriyaki chicken bowl is to die for, I loved everything about it(and I’m kind of picky). My favorite part was probably the creamy Sriracha sauce. Everything paired so well together, with lots of different flavors that complement each other nicely. The tropical iced tea is also great, and is a nice toned down drink to have with such a flavorful bowl.

The food was good tasting. I was able to order ahead, so I did not have to wait. I was a little disappointed when I saw my meal and discovered they had only one small slice of avocado and one wedge of lime on the plate. Sauces come in packets now and not in a cup, still that is ok. I was really surprised when they told me they raised there prices by $ 1.00 per item and the total for two people came to over $ 28.00. Bottom line is the food was good, they just need to beef up the plate especially considering they raised the prices.

Great food! Just wish they would add more vegetables, less grain, to the vegetarian options!

What a find. Hidden away but a very nice surprise, full of flavors and friendly staff. A must do in Lakeport.

Delicious whole in the wall. I went off the other positive reviews on Unilocal because I’m only in town for the day and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s hard to find, down the hall in a strip mall next to the grocery outlet. There’s no sign out front. Clean, very friendly, and delicious bowls. Quinoa, brown rice, avocado, cabbage, lime, cilantro and chicken is what I had. The Thai iced tea was tasty too.

Decided to finally try this place for lunch today. Wow, were we impressed! Fresh, flavorful food with great sized portions. We both ordered the 50⁄50 bowls(half pork, half chicken). Both meats were equally good, & not dry at all. I’m allergic to dairy, so I ordered mine without the creamy sriracha sauce, but it still tasted great with the garlic sauce. We got it to-go, so I can’t speak of their table service but I will say that it was ready on time & they were very friendly, even though they were extremely busy with other orders. We will definitely be back soon!

This tiny little out of the way(and difficult to find) place is definitely worth the effort to find! Strangely reminiscent of an LA/Roy Choi/Korean Fusion/Food Truck — only tucked away in the corner of a strip mall in Lakeport, This place rocks. Their food is everything fresh, uniquely NOT typical local cuisine and defnitely good! We checked out the Korean Street Tacos and the Chicken Terriyaki Bowl. I had no idea something this good even existed locally. I can’t wait to try some of their other menu items. The next time we’re missing some of Roy Choi’s food — sorry Roy, ‘not going to LA, ‘going to save our money and go to Lakeport!

Excellent food! We were in town for a week and used Unilocal to find places to eat because this town is small and spread out and there aren’t many chain restaurants or options for that matter. The Wholly Bowl was a bit hard to find but once we found it we were happy that we did!

My husband and I were looking for a late lunch today and wanted to get some Wholly Bowl goodness. I ran over to the door to see that they’d closed 25 minutes prior to our arrival. Dejected, I started to walk away to deliver the bad news to my husband. Suddenly, their door opened and an angel called out, «Did you want something to go? We’re cleaning up but we still have food and I’m happy to make you something!» Oh my goodness. Seriously? It’s after hours on a Saturday afternoon, and they’re willing to stay and make us two fabulously delicious chicken bowls and Thai iced teas. Blown away by their fresh, beautiful food, but even more by the incredible customer service and kindness provided by Jen, Nicole, and Kyle. Thank you!

Fresh, quality ingredients, tasty food, and pleasant service. A limited menu, basically chicken pork or vegetarian as a noodle bowl, a wrap, or a taco. But, better to do a few things well than a huge menu poorly. Limited seating — consider getting your good to go.

Stopped by for a late Saturday lunch and was extremely impressed! I have been hearing about the Wholly Bowl for a while but I could never find it. Finally I found it today! It is tucked in a little hallway behind a diner in the Grocery Outlet shopping mall. It is a TINY little place with only a handful of seats, but the food well makes up for the small seating area. My husband ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl, and I got the street tacos(1 chicken, 1 pork). I was amazed at how fresh everything tasted. It was simple but delicious food. Their menu isn’t large, but it seems like most things are customizable(for a cost). Lastly, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here!

Our new favorite go-to. Call ahead or you just need to chill, have a ginger beer and be patient. This food is worth the wait. We arrived after closing on our first visit and Jonathan and Michael were so welcoming(we were hungry after a big hike) and made sure we were fed. The food is amazing, so fresh and tasty and healthy. You usually only find places like this in SF. Hard to find, but a true gem in this town and we now go back weekly. You can’t find better service or food anywhere in Lake County.

Been here twice and the food is delish! Probably the freshest in town! Both times there has been a long wait time, one of them approx. 50 minutes because of to-go orders and then they ran out of pork. I would hope that with how good it is they can expand and get a second chef because Lakeport really needs a place like this to stick around!

Great flavors. Small place but the teriyaki chicken bowl that I got more than made up for the lack of space. The small joints, in a hole in the wall are always the ones to surprise you. The staff was friendly and very warm and inviting and even though they had a plumbing issue that they were trying to resolve they were still very attentive and prompt with my order. For 8 dollars a bowl the portion is generous and leaves you with a nice and clean full feeling. I will try the Korean pork bowl next time! Will definitely recommend!

My wife and I found the food very nutritious and tasty. We found the location very small with only two tables for serving. But for take out food it was delishous. A must see and eat to appreciate.

I like it. The place is little, but the taste is big. I love the pork and the rice is just perfect jasmine rice. I also like the rice noodles. If you are a vegetarian they have yummy things for you as well. Also, thai iced tea– yum! They are fast. I have already bought about 10 bowls now, but next time I’m going to try the Korean tacos which I heard were great.

Awesome pork bowl. Great combination of flavors, made to order, fresh ingredients. The owner and staff are very friendly and work hard to get your meal to you quickly. But if you are in a hurry, order ahead. Will be making this a regular luncheon spot.
