A-1 Self Storage

I had an «emergency move» and this place was right around the corner — great customer service, very clean, well maintained and secure. I would recommend this facility.

My husband and I needed some storage space, and we looked at many self-​storage companies in the area. Most were fairly creepy, with no security and people living in their units — seriously?! Plywood walls were also big — what?!
Finally we found A1 on Riverford, a clean, secure oasis!
The manager, Gary, was very helpful. My husband couldn’t come along with me during my first visit, so I asked a lot of questions, and Gary was very patient, giving me all the information I needed to make a decision.
After renting the unit, my husband and I decided we needed something bigger and returned together. This time we spoke with Brit, who was even more helpful, going out of his way to find us a dolly and making sure we had the right size to fit in all our stuff.
Cleanest storage facility in town, great staff, what more could you ask for?

What a great experience! My moving stress was significantly reduced when I found this facility. It is SPOTLESS and well lit. (Several friends knew it as «the brand new storage» because it looks new and well-​maintained). The service is outstanding and the process is simple. There were no hidden charges or additional fees. I highly recommend A1.

The two lays that run this place are so nice and helpful! This place is top notch and I never questioned the safey of my belongings! Id recommend this storage to everyone! $$$ is reasonable too!

I have been to nearly all the storage units in the city, because for several years I had a business loading and unloading people’s rental trucks. A-​1 has a lot of newer storage facilities in San Diego and most of them are very nice. This one in particular is also very new and nice. This one has some of the best access hours in the city. Many storage units, I believe to discourage homeless from living out of them, have horrible access hours! Some others close at like 6pm! Sarah and her team are great– friendly, professional, accommodating, good communicators, and personable. My customers that rented from A-​1 have never had a complaint nor were displeased in any way. Their facilities have some of the best security for your belongings and also the security is very good for the customers, mostly women, who are worried about personal security deep in some of these buildings. Most, if not all A-1’s, have security cameras everywhere and other security measures for peace of mind. Also, A-​1 is very clever & conscientious to give you a business card after you sign up, where on the back it has everything you will want to recall later such as unit #, the rent price, date due, & of course your codes. Many facilities don’t do this and you have to track down your contract, which you don’t usually have handy. Lastly, as a moving helper I have been acquainted with many of the leasing agents all over the city and Sarah is probably one of the most friendliest, warmest, personable, professional, and has the most of my favorite quality in a leasing agent– a very good communicator!
