Have nothing to say but great things about Bob’s crane service! Excellent customer service!

After completing the survey and measurements to have some some wood carvings lifted into my backyard, Ryan estimated the job would «probably take 4.5 hours». He said the it might be less time but it could take more, so to be «conservative» the written estimate was for 5 hours. This led me to believe his estimate was accurate to within plus or minus a half an hour. When the job was completed on March 3, I was informed the actual cost was for 8 hours. .
I don’t know if deliberately deceiving a potential customer with a low quote in order to get the business and then charging 78 percent above the original estimate is legal, but it certainly isn’t ethical as they claim to be.

I could say wonderful things all day about Bob’s Crane Service! They were amazing, just did a job for the company I work for this last Weds/​Thurs, and I am so impressed with their efficiency, professionalism, and flexibility!
We had them out Weds morning and Thursday morning, and they brought their crane out and expertly maneuvered it into a rather tight spot with wonderful precision. The job that I thought would take them much longer, they got done easily by lunchtime both days. Their whole crew was really great, but I have to say I was most impressed by their crane operator… wow! His maneuvering of that crane was so perfect and precise. We were moving containers with water as well, and every time he lifted something it was always a smooth, fluid motion and never jerking or halting, which was very important! They definitely made things look easy because they were so competent and good at what they do!
I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a job that requires some heavy lifting… these guys are top notch! We couldn’t have gotten our job done without them, that is for certain. They were really good to work with and it was obvious they are experts at what they do! Kudos to Bob’s Crane Service!

My fiancé and I bought a spa and it had to be craned into the backyard. Suddenly all the spa delivery services who said «they do it all the time» had an issue with the height, distance, etc.
Pete came out on Monday, 16 Jan (a holiday for most) to survey and measure and Derrick showed up bright and early the 18^th with a 40 ton crane with enough boom length to get the job done. He even backed in the spa delivery companies truck and trailer because their driver couldn’t do it!
Here’s a tip though: most of these companies have a 4 hour minimum requirement and fuel surcharge. Do some research and factor that into the cost of your spa purchase. Most spa companies deliver to your driveway and that’s about it. We knew we would have some crane costs but were prepared and when you definitely want someone who will protect your purchase and your home as they place it in your yard.
Pay for good service especially when you have 1000 pounds of spa dangling 50 feet in the air above your home!!!
