Very disappointed in the outcome of care here! I searched for 18 months to find the«right» facility for my mom with dementia and thought I had found it in Lakeside Manor. All that came screeching to a halt when I got a message on my voicemail one night saying that mom had«assaulted» another resident and was going to be removed by the sheriff if I did not come pick her up immediately. I did not get the message for 2 hours(what would have happened if I had been on vacation?) and when I did mom was already in the Emergency room of a local hospital, completely lost and alone except for an armed guard with her! A ridiculous burden on law enforcement and on Emergency resources! I think the truth is that these folks/their staff do not know how to deal with dementia patients and are very concerned about lawsuits. Which is well and good until it leaves a little(under 5 ft) old lady with a bladder infection and Alzheimer’s disease quite literally homeless and traumatized. Further, in the 2 months that she stayed at Lakeside Manor, they overfed her to the point that she was 2 dress sizes larger and needed a whole new wardrobe. They also«lost» or misplaced enough articles that were marked in permanent ink that I feel it is my obligation to warn others lest they fall for the same sales job that I did. Shame on Lakeside Manor.
