McKeon Hardwood Floors

Rick and his team are fantastic! We have a small condo (1 bed, 1 bath) and they improved our space dramatically. Rick McKeon was extremely patient with me as I took several months to choose a laminate. His guys worked efficiently and had our place done in 2 days. They left everything in neat order and had our bedroom finished first so we were comfortable in our home despite the construction. Extremely friendly guys. Finished product is perfect!

We recently hired McKeon Hardwood Floors and Sid Harris Painting to install cork floors and oak treads on our stairs. McKeon had previously worked as a subcontractor do install flooring in our kitchen and had done a good job. This time, we hired him directly. In my opinion, this was a big mistake. He iincorrectly measured the amount of flooring needed, leading to our house being left in a mess for weeks while the additional flooring came in. He then hit us up for more money, screaming and cursing at me on the phone when I questioned why we should pay for his mistake. The painters working for Sid Harris then left big marks on the cork with their tape. Communication with both Rick McKeon and Sid Harris was extremely poor. Sid Harris promised to provide some additional stain for touch up work, but he never did that. Although the job ended up being done pretty well in the end, it cost much more than the initial bid, took months instead of weeks to complete, and came with enormous aggravation. In my opinion, hiring either of these two companies is a mistake.

Rick was excellent and so was his team. We purchased a home built in 1959 and discovered hardwood floors throughout the house. They had never been finished and had carpet, linoleum flooring and 53 years of abuse on them. Rick and team finished them up beautifully and they look brand new. It was neat to see Rick and all the workers as excited about the final product as I was. They really love what they do and it shows. They had keys to the house and were so clean the only way I knew they had come by was noticing the progress of the floors. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

We used McKeon to repair an existing hardwood floor. The did an excellent job. The floor looked like new after they were done. They set an appointment and were on time. Their pricing was extremely reasonable. We were so happy we had them replace the molding throughout the rest of the house. They matched the stain to our existing hardwood floor perfectly. The workmanship was top-​notch. Chach was the installer and he is definitely a master finish carpenter. We will use McKeon again in the future and highly recommend them.

Some friends in our neighborhood had their hardwood floors refinished by McKeon Hardwood floors. Their floors looked great, so we decided to use McKeon.
We have an older home and had wood floors under the carpet. We didn’t know what condition the floors would be in. We went on vacation for a week and gave Rick McKeon the keys to our house and asked him to refinish the floors while we were gone. Rick tore out the entire carpet, moved all of the furniture out of the house, then completely restored the floors. The floors look PHENOMENAL. I have never seen hardwood floors look so good (I may be biased because it’s my house but the floors really do look unbelievably good).
Rick didn’t charge a nickel more than his estimate, even though we had both agreed that if he found wood that needed replacing, he would charge us for it. We were on vacation. Rick could have drummed up some phoney charges and we would have never known the difference. However, Rick didn’t charge anything extra. His prices were extremely reasonable. It was much less expensive for Rick to do this entire huge job, than it would have been to have new carpet put in. Plus, these floors look infinitely better than any carpet could have looked.
When we got back from vacation, not a single thing was missing from our home. Rick is 1000% trustworthy.
