Best Mexican food in Lakeside! Huge portions… my fav is the pollo asada fries. Food is always consistent and although they get busy service is always great.

Paid $ 12 for cpl roll tacos and a chicken/cheese quesadilla. Tipped a very rude cashier, not sure why… Food came out when my friends were almost done eating theirs, I refused all the sauces they offered me and just asked for small side of sour cream, which didn’t go well. They don’t do that. Over $ 2 for sour cream to dip my $ 12 food into. Not coming back.

My favorite Mexican food place! Fish tacos are arguably the best in all of East County. My other favorite thing to order is the shredded chicken burrito and I have them add beans and pico. But no matter what you order it is going to be delicious and filling and easy on your wallet.

My wife and I went here tonight for a quick dinner. Everything was just dandy. I ordered the Bistec Ranchero meal, expecting a flank steak or something, but instead it was chopped steak with peppers in a juice/sauce. It wasn’t what I expected but it was definitely more food and very good. This place is much better than it looks! Tortillas were great!

Despite the few negative reviews I pick up a breakfast burrito every Friday on my way to work. The burritos are good and large and priced right. Never had any of the other entrée’s on their menus so I can’t comment on that.

Sarai’s has great California Burritos(ask them to put potatoes instead of french fries)! I never return to a Mexican food place unless they make great Burritos and I continue to return here. I haven’t had much on their menu except the California and supreme Burritos but once I find something good I like to stick with it. The supreme burrito was okay but I love their California burrito! Their Burritos are good size and the staff is friendly. I like to call my order in before I arrive so it’s ready as soon as I get there. They give out bottles of salsa if you’re eating in. What more can I say, now go ahead, don’t be afraid because it’s in Lakeside, check this place out!

I really like their brand of Mexican food. I started branching out as I was getting a little tired of Sombreros, not because it’s bad, but because I’ve been eating it my whole life haha. Sarai’s is excellent because it still tastes homemade rather than commercial, but watch out for that red hot! It’s seriously hot af and I almost burned off my tongue lol Rolled tacos are my favorite, but their carne Assad fries are also superb!

Came in this morning with hopes of having a super delicious carne asada breakfast burrito, was heavily disappointed, the most dry carne I have EVER had, the potatoes were not cooked, and I just couldn’t bring myself to finish the burrito, will come back for lunch or dinner some day soon, just to see if maybe today was an off day, but two stars until then!

Purchased 4 breakfast burritos yesterday morning(9÷12÷15) while on our way out of town. About an hour later when we got to eat them, both mine & my husband’s burritos had chunks of black plastic in them. My husband called Sarai’s to let them know about the plastic and was asked to bring the burritos back. He explained that we were on our way out of town and was put on hold. The woman came back on the line and told him that the plastic was from the tortilla bag, save his receipt, and Sarai’s would comp him 2 burritos the next time he went in. This morning(9÷13÷15), my husband went in and was asked where the burritos were because they wanted proof, then said they needed to find out what the plastic was. We did not have the burritos because after being told we didn’t need them, we threw them away in our friends’ garbage(who luckily didn’t have black plastic in their burritos). When my husband pointed out what he was told yesterday, the same woman he spoke to on the phone told him that the cooks didn’t believe him, hence the reason she was having to give him the run around. My husband ended up leaving without the compensation of burritos or a refund. I understand that things happen in food preparation and am not even upset about finding plastic in my food. The disappointing part is how Sarai’s decided to go back on their word and refused to make it right. Another questioning issue is Sarai’s has a «BBB A Accredited» sign in their door yet when I went to the BBB’s website to file a complaint, Sarai’s did not show up in the search and I had to fill out all the business information.

Saria’s Taco shop. Says breakfast served all day. Ask for some breakfast tacos and they said they don’t serve breakfast tacos? Lady looked at me like i was an idiot for asking for tacos at a taco shop… lol.

Not all taco shops are created equal. My carne asada taco was practically inedible bc the meat was ½ fat or overcooked. So gross! On the other hand, for a guacamole taco, it was excellent(the tortillas are really good here even if the meat was super gross). My bf ordered the #2 special w/2 rolled tacos, 1 beef taco, a tostada. I added a star for his sake bc he really enjoyed his food. +1 star for spacious clean seating area +1 star for really bomb tortillas. My bf enjoyed his food(so I guess just be sure not to order the carne asada?!) +1 star for serving salsa on our tray, without having to beg for it –1 star for unfriendly front-of-the-house woman, who probably makes babies cry just for fun. –1 star for having worst carne asada I have ever had in my life. Prices: $ 3.44 for taco(Pricey) $ 8.36 for special #2.

My wife and I love love love this place. It is our go to place for quick and great tasting Mexican food. I spent three months in south Texas and could not wait to get back here and have food from Sarai’s.

Carne asada is too dry. But the best Mexican food I have ever had is from here. Always good quality.

Great food with huge portions! Love the carne asada burrito(wet) and the chorizo burrito. In the day time it’s warm in there and pretty small so its probably best to take it to go, you can call ahead. The lady who works in the morning is so nice and they have pretty good hot sauce.

Always great food at good prices. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve been here way more then twice just failed to check in. Lol. From top to bottom their menu is delicious. Try the Potato Rolled Tacos or the chorizo Burrito great always.

Friendly staff and great breakfast burrito chocies. They have a full menu of other Mexican food but we seam to stick to the same burritos. My son comes here before school and he is what got us started coming here. My favorite is the bacon and potato.

I stopped in this taco shop for a pair of shredded chicken tacos. I have to say, I have been on the hunt for some great ones, and I found some good ones here, but just not great. The pair of tacos came generously filled with lettuce and some very good grated cheese( ). I appreciated the freshness of the cheese and lettuce, but I was a little bummed out with the limited amount of tender shredded chicken. The chicken was thigh and leg meat and it was mildly seasoned, but like I said, the tacos just needed more to thoroughly enjoy them( ). I also found it interesting that beneath the chicken was a small layer of tomatoes. The shell of the tacos were well fried with a nice crispiness and chewiness at the same time. Both tacos were good with their red and green house hot sauces( ). Service at the ordering counter was friendly enough. You order at the counter and then pick up your food when it’s ready. The tacos were good, but put some more meat in them please…

The food here is really good. The carne asada fries are HUGE! And have a good amount of actual carne asada on them. I have never had a long wait time, usually done by the time I drive over. The dining area is clean but the bathroom isn’t great. I only went it once, I usually just pick up food. Staff is really nice, all the ladies I have conversed with are fantastic.
