Penny is absolutely wonderful. I called her after reading both her Unilocal!reviews and at the suggestion of a co-​worker, who happened to be a previous tenant of hers. I am so glad I went! I have degenerative discs and every one in awhile I cannot get relief for my back pain. I called her hoping to get in as soon as possible and I was scheduled in less than 24 hours! She was very accommodating to my circumstances. I paid $ 75 for an hour massage, but she spent a little longer on me. The massage itself was a bit brutal, BUT I needed some serious work in my shoulders, so that was not her fault. I felt right as rain the next day! She uses Biofreeze rather than traditional massage oils, which is a huge bonus since it does wonders for aching muscles. And I know that stuff isn’t cheap! She even gave me a few samples afterward to continue with the muscle relaxation. I cannot wait to go back to her :)

I am updating my review. I stand by what I said about Penny being an amazing massage therapist. The problem was that she quit responding to me for appointments and that was very disappointing. It is unfortunate and I am not sure if this was done on purpose or not, but certainly not good business practice, and because of it others have decided not to go when they asked for a referral to the amazing therapist that I had, and then found out she quit calling me back.

I love this place! Penny does an incredible job making you feel relaxed. I have had a lot of massages and Penny in Lakeside is the best! I already look forward to my next appointment.

Is this Lakeside or La Jolla? I cannot tell you how great Penny is and my back would know! Very professional and I feel very comfortable there. She does deep tissue and this thing with the hot rocks that is great.
