This past Sunday I had a very troubling experience at this business. While my wife was next door at the spice shop, my 10 year daughter and I went to get her yarn for a school project. Having never purchased yarn before, I did not realize that $ 30 was way to high for 2 small parcels of yarn. My wife and I went back after only 5 minutes to only hear that all she could do was a in store credit. I said you have to be kidding. Their was no sign on the door and she pointed to a tiny sign behind her register. I think this is awful and people should beware of such shoddy return policy. Shame on them

Absolutely Amazing in every way. Excellent selection of yarn, welcoming décor, neatly organized, super-friendly owner and a wide variety of project samples to get the creative juices flowing. Knitter’s Palatte is hands down, my favorite fiber shop ever! That’s saying a lot, since I live in New York and can’t get over the variety of yarn they have to offer… not to mention the weaving and spinning selection of items. I you’re looking for a fiber shop to call home, then Knitter’s Palatte is the choice. As soon as you walk in, you’ll understand why I’m so in love with them.

I first visited this store two days ago. I was impressed by the service from the owner. She answered all my questions and was very helpful/knowledgeable about yarn and spinning fiber. There is a great selection of sock weight yarns! Yarn prices seemed to be pretty much in line with anywhere and overall there is a good selection. Wish there had been more lace weight to choose from as the colors were limited. I was impressed with the roving and it was priced very reasonable compared to other places I’ve been. I ended up purchasing two spindles and a lot of roving. Now I’ve got to try drop spinning again!

The yarn at this shop haunts me. We had to go back so I could get more of the Kaffe Fassett Colourscape and while there I had to buy a couple balls of another yarn as well. If I hadn’t been on a budget I would have grabbed more — there was a LOT of temptation in this place. The sales person was sweet as pie. And the amount of knitters in the front of the store was such that I could actually shop the yarn up front and had access to the patterns area. I would still love to see better lighting in this store — but given how much time I spend thinking about the yarn in this shop I have to up it to a 4 star shop in my knitting list. I will be most definitely be back. There is a ball of Noro with my name on it…
