Target Optical

Recently, my optometrist Dr. LaMotte, switched his practice to Target Optical. Because he is the best I followed him, even though I live in Eagan. This review is for Dr. LaMotte, not Target.
My prescription is difficult to nail down, and in lesser hands, I end up with glasses that aren’t quite right, that I won’t wear and then I’m back to wearing cheaters from the drugstore. Dr. LaMotte takes the time to dilate my eyes, doesn’t rush through the exam and has me wear a mock-​up of the prescription to make sure I’m really comfortable.
My daughter has an eye shape that’s difficult for contact prescriptions, and had totally abandoned hope of being able to wear them. Dr. LaMotte saved the day for her, too. After listening to her previous experiences with contacts and examining her closely, she now has a brand that works. My husband had a potential health issue brought to his attention from an eye exam with Dr. LaMotte as well.
One plug for the frame selection at Target… excellent inventory. I made the mistake of purchasing frames and lenses from a large national chain. FAIL. When I took them to Dr. LaMotte to inspect after they drove me crazy, he showed me the prescription wasn’t correct, and once again, close isn’t good enough.

Exceptional service! I chose to visit the optical dept at this location because they are one of a few who accept my vision insurance plan. I brought in a prescription from a competitor, there was no hassles. They had my contact leses were in stock, and I was out the door in less than 20 minutes.
