Sunlounge Spa

I have been to the Sunlounge Spa several times. The owner, Steve is always professional and polite. He promptly returns messages that are left. I had a bad experience with another Med-​Spa in Austin, however Sunlounge is punctual, professional, and affordable.
I appreciate a well run small business. Cheers to a job well done

My teeth never looked brighter! Overall a decent experience. Steve prepped my trays, explained the process, I chilled and slobbered for about 45 min. A slight stinging, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Like many others I Purchased the Groupon for my wife for teeth whitening. shes had this done before elsewhere so she knows what to expect. They misapplied the chemicals to the point that she had BLISTERS on her gums for several days and ultimately had to visit a dentist to determine the extent of the damage that was done. The person doing the treatment clearly has NO training on the safety aspect and the required caution for ones gums. The treatment area was dirty and littered with prior patients slobber rags (you drool a lot) and they stopped the treatment only after about 15 minutes due to the extreme pain. SheI basically said «I cannot do this anymore — it hurts too bad!» All the tech could say was «I’m sorry it didn’t work out — have a nice day»
looks like they dont respond to these reviews or try to remedy the problems. The reviews don’t lie.

The owner Steve made my appt for a repeat botox visit. He asked me if I had already paid the physician fee, which I had because I was a repeat customer. Then I get to the appt, and I had to pay another $ 25 for a 1-​minute iPad consultation with a remote physician. Thus, the recurring fee should have been mentioned when I made the appt.
Steve said they justify the fee because they only pay $ 8 per unit, and the state requires a physician prescription. So charging a yearly $ 25 fee is compensating for their $ 8 per unit fee. What a bait and switch with add-​on fees! Steve is very unprofessional and would not admit his fault.

I know I shouldn’t be tanning in a tanning bed, but I would like to get dark for summer. I’ve been going to Sunlounge Spa for a while now and I have always had a good experience. The owner Steve is friendly and always accommodates me. I recently bought a few months of tans here, like I did last year and I am getting extremely dark. They are open early and late, so you can run in there, get your tan and be on your way. I’ve had an airbrush tan too, which was awesome. I don’t remember the lady who did it, but she did a really good job. Overall, I have had a good experience here. It is close to the house and I can kill two birds with one stone. I can go get a quick 12 minute tan, then run inside Randalls and be home without even going on the highway. It is very convenient, and I hope they don’t ever close this location, because I like the beds there!

This is right by my house so you can’t beat the convenience. Steve is a nice guy and I enioy talking to him about running and triathlons. The place is clean and the tanning beds are all up to date and always in perfect working order.

Very disappointed with this experience at the westlake location. Paid for all treatments before they had started in January, it is now march and am refused a receipt for services!!! Going another route for a receipt. Bonnie never discussed the procedure. Gave no info., on anything. I had researched the procedure myself. She and her boss Steve ignored my plea for a receipt. She actually burned my underarm so bad it took over a week to heal. It was ugly!

I used the teeth whitening Groupon. Contrary to one of the posts I saw, it did lighten my teeth at least four shades. However, not the most sanitary experience. Typically, this treatment will have ready access to a sink to discharge your saliva (which is why it’s done in a dentist’s office). There was not one. I was expected to sit with my mouth half open for 40 minutes without access to a sink and was instead handed paper towels. In addition, the UV lighting device looked pretty ancient and had tape holding the base together.
So, it worked, but you get what you pay for. Not a pleasant experience.

I bought a Groupon for 20 units of Botox. The appointment was not easy to make, as they outsource a person who does the Botox injections (not a doctor). Their Botox person rotates locations from Westlake to Round Rock, every other week. Once I was finally able to make an appointment, I met the aesthetician in a dark room in a medical building. Since Texas now requires that you consult with a doctor prior to receiving Botox, I met with a doctor who was called in via Facetime. That made me very uncomfortable. I received the injections, and it was obvious that more was put into one side of my forehead than the other, because I could feel it trickling out. I waited two weeks and the results are uneven. When I’ve tried to make an additional appointment for the «free touch-​up», the Botox lady never seems to have any time in my location. She also seemed to promote her own business rather than encourage me to go through Sunlounge Spa, so I have no idea who is responsible for the bad Botox job– the lady to injected me or Sunlounge Spa. Overall, a sketchy experience I would not recommend. You get what you pay for.

Dana is terrific! I’m 70 years old and am amazed at the difference in my eyes. The Excilis process made such a drastic difference in my eyes — almost all of the wrinkles are gone! This treatment really works and I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend this for anyone wanting to improve their looks.

I bought the groupon for teeth whitening for my husband and I which was $ 79 each person. Everyone was nice but the product itself did not work. We even bought two applicators for $ 40 each so that’s another $ 80. So we spent over $ 200 that did NOT make any difference. It’s a waste of money. Don’t do teeth whitening from here. We didn’t have yellow teeth to start with but we did a before and after photo; same lighting same time of day and same location at our home. NO changes. Stick with your strips. You’re better off!

Michelle at Sunlounge is a pro at eliminating wrinkles! I went to their Westlake location and it was clean and comfortable. I had a great deal for Botox with Groupon and I found my go to lady! She also touched up my results for no charge. Highly recommend!

Sunlounge Spa is a total package. They offer many different services that will suit your needs. I have to say that my experience has been amazing… and the results even better. Steve is the owner and he treats all his clients very well. Laurel, their Exilis pro… is the sweetest girl you will ever meet, super professional, and an expert in her craft. I highly recommend Sunlounge Spa for more than just your tanning needs. Call Steve and he will take care of you.

I am so happy I found this gem in the Randalls shopping center in Lakeway! Not at all what I expected. Much more «upscale» and they offer many other services than tanning (bed or spray)…which by the way are most beautiful and spacious tanning rooms ever, with the hardwood floors and Texas Hill Country décor.
Sunlounge offers messages (both Swedish and deep tissue), facials, chiropractic care, Elixis, sclerotherapy treatment, eye lash extensions, and even Botox/​Juvederm injections if that’s your thing. This unassuming storefront really does house a full service spa within. Why increase your stress level by driving to and from different appointments when you can receive just about any treatment you could desire all in one locale? Hope you enjoy! I know I did… and continue to.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They were really rude and didn’t want to help me at all the week of my wedding. I made an appointment with the owner over the phone who said I didn’t need to buy the Groupon for the teeth whitening special. I went with my husband and the rude receptionist and owner started arguing with me saying they would NEVER say that and you MUST buy the Groupon. Needless to say I left in tears because of their rude service… My husband was very upset as well but in the end we went to a different place that treated us with respect.
No matter how good the deal may be here do not EVER do business with Sunlouge Spa.

This place kind of sucks in my opinion.
They had offered some treatments as prizes for my daughter’s school fundraiser. I was so excited i purchased extra raffle tickets and put them all in the Sunlounge Spa buckets. For the first time in my life, I actually won and I was so excited to claim the prize but when I called to redeem them, the owner was unwilling to honor. I guess he wasn’t happy that they had used the donation as a raffle whic h was no fault of my own and then refused to honor. He said he would call me back to work something out, but never did and avoided my follow-​ups.
In a pinch, I tried to use them for Mystic Tan which was being advertised, but they told me the machine was broken and then had no idea when or if it would ever be fixed and I would have to purchase the airbrush tannign package instead. The computer was down, they wrote my info on a scrap of paper.
I’ve gone in there before and had to leave because no one was around working as far as I could tell. I stood in the lobbing calling the place and nobody answered.
Overall, I believe this place is unprofessional and poorly run. I would not recommend it to my friends or anyone.

I’m hesitant to write this review, since Exilis is kind of my little secret, but they do such a great job I have to say something. Their staff is friendly and accommodating, and the treatment yields amazing results. I highly recommend it if you aren’t ready for needles yet.

I had my first exilis treatment a few days ago on my stomach and love handles and I’m already seeing a difference! The staff is extremely knowledgable and my tech was amazing. She’s friendly and made the treatment very comfortable. I am definitely looking forward to my next session.

Friendly staff and great location. Easily booked appointments and never had to wait.
