A & A Roadrunner Moving & Storage

We called a week ahead to have the people come agreed on a time with a contract. The time was supposed to be 10 they showed up at 3. They said it was «traffic». This was on a Saturday no traffic. We already loaded up a trailer by the time they showed up. When they finally showed up they said that the way we loaded it was wrong and we would break it because of the glass and said that we had to take it all out and wrap it. There was nothing wrong with it. Nothing would of broke. They were trying to milk as much time as they could. When my mom called them on it they started cussing in spanish.

Stay away. I wasn’t going to write this review but changed my mind after the lack of concern regarding the move. In fact, the way they chose to try to make good on what was clearly a bait and switch (check reviews on other sites) was to offer me a discount on my «next move» with them (as if…).
I received an estimate prior to the move. And yes, I understand an estimate is simply that. But they were given a comprehensive overview of what was being moved (I am literally one person so I do not have a lot of things to move; no appliances, etc) and that there were 3 flights of stairs on both ends of the move, without an elevator. However, I was staying in the same complex.
The estimate I was given was for 3 movers (and in fact I have an email, from the company, post move, stating just that) but they sent TWO. What should have been a 3 hour move MAX took almost 6. I had stated, prior to hiring them, that I was on a budget and they did give me a truck for «free» since I was staying in the same complex — but clearly they made up for that cost, and then some, on the extra time tacked onto this move.
I have moved a myriad of times, including two times cross country. My other local moves (NOT staying in the same complex) have included the same number of items and boxes and always been 3 hours or under.
The movers blamed the owner for making them look bad by giving an «unrealistic» estimate; the owner emailed me saying «this was a hard move! they said you had a lot of stuff». Just send the 3 man team next time and make good on your estimate. People generally understand if the time goes a ½ hour over — but almost 3 hours over is just really bad business.

I used these movers again but was very disappointed this time around. It took three times as long as last time and they broke a couple of things, which they blamed on them being cheaper wood and thus not covered. If I moved those things myself, they would not have broken.
When I complained about the furniture getting broken, I was treated like an idiot and definitely they were trying to avoid having to pay for it. The crew was slower and we had to help move a lot of stuff.
Don’t think I’ll use these guys again…

The movers where 4 hours late, then after loading EVERYTHING we owned into the truck, asked if they could unload it in the morning. We where moving a block away. But didn’t even have a change of clothes or toothbrush out. They did end up unloading it with my husband’s help. Furniture was damaged… nothing got put in the correct rooms. Worst move ever.
