Great meat quality, everything cooked over charcoal. Its like the Argentinian ASADO for the Koreans. Little pricey.

Love love love this place! Service is always excellent and the waitresses and owner are very attentive to your needs. Meat is the best here with thick juicy cuts. I try to grill myself but the waitresses always beat you to it. If they see you pick up Tongs, they run over and take it away and do everything for you. I could eat here at least once a week for the rest of my life!

Heads up! It’s not AYCE! but the meat quality is tough to beat. The servers were really attentive and sweet, even more so when they knew it was our first time here. Came on a Thursday night so it wasn’t too busy yet, no wait or lines. The place is small and quaint but there’s outdoor seating too! I imagine parking can be a bit difficult on busier nights though. They use coal here, which is different from your usual kbbq. It’s a bit pricey compared to other kbbq places for sure, but you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.

It’s funny. I know some Koreans that actually try to avoid Korean restaurants with a majority nonKorean demographic. It is not because they are racist, but rather because too many places like that have been known for altering tastes to cater to the nonKorean public. So when picking place for KBBQ, one of those fellow Koreans chose this place. When it comes to grilled meat, I prefer charcoal. Grill snobs have unending debates on which method of grilling is better… and they all have good points. For me, maybe it’s the memories that I have with charcoal… the memories of grilling galbi on the charcoal grill growing up. It kind of brings me back to childhood. We got the #2 Combo, which included hyeongjae galbi, pork belly, a bottle of soju, and soy bean paste. They used to include gyeranjjim(steamed egg) in the combos. I was waiting for it, but it never came. I looked at the(updated) menu closer and they took it off. Sad. But I left with my belly happy, so it’s all good. The total bill came out to $ 73. I wished I didn’t spend all my cash that day because I could have gotten a 5% discount had I paid with cash.

A little hole in the wall K bbq joint with good food and quality meats. Dont expect to see any non Asians here so food must be legit. Non marinated beef bbq my favorite here.

Hands down the BESTMEAT in town. Pretty pricey but quality speaks! Ask for cold kimchi noodles after your meal. Check to see if they still offer 5% off when you pay with cash ;)

One of the best korean bbq places! Please be aware this place is not a place like all you can eat bbq. You are paying for the quality meat they serve. I’ve known this place for quite a while, never left unsatisfied. If you are looking for $ 20-$ 30 per person, leave and don’t come back. Me and my bf get 2 plates and we aren’t stuff but not hungry. And we like it this way. Rather pay $ 50-$ 60 per person then get cheap frozen meat, with whatever service, and have leftovers that I cannot to-go but have to throw away due to policy. Parking is small so carpool if you can. Service is superb! They remember you if you go often. Their english is a bit shaky but they smile and meet your needs most of the time. Recommend the tong galbee and marinated galbee. Galmaegeesal is good as well. My mouth is watering just thinking of this place :)

We ended up at Brothers Korean BBQ in Lakewood. The street sign is in Korean, it reads hyeongje, but after you drive onto the street it has it there with Korean BBQ, can’t miss it. It’s a pretty small little hut of a place, combining the inside with a small covered patio outside. The bathrooms, one for each gender, are located outside by use of a key, like the gas stations. At first you may be put off by this, but this is seriously one of the dankest places I know for food. This is like a real hole in the wall. Hole in the ground. But the food here is delicious. And considering the exorbitant prices you pay to eat here, one plate of galbi(just two pieces essentially) is a whopping $ 36USD, the food at a fancier looking place must really be the price of a human organ. But even for this price, we received great service, and the tables were the traditional round stump with stools around it to eat. It reminded me of other places in K-town. I loved it, really. There’s no heating though, besides your warm food fire, so just be ware when you come! Parking lot is small, but so is the place, so it kinda works out. Our bill came out to be about $ 52/person.

Brother’s BBQ is the most expensive Korean BBQ place that I’ve ever been to. It’s also the best Korean BBQ that I’ve ever tasted(please don’t tell my grandma!). They give you a discount if you use cash which is nice since it is pricey. The meat they use is high quality and the custom made grill is perfect for cooking the meats they offer. Some of my favorites to order there are the marinated pork, cow tongue and non-marinated fresh beef steak. They all come with a salad and many sides(which are all very good too). The reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because of the location and setting. It reminds me of an old Korean street kind of a place with the uncomfortable stools and loud drunk people. There also isn’t a lot of seating so you would have to get there early in order to sit and enjoy dinner for a while. If it wasn’t for the ghetto Centralia location next to a barber shop and laundry store, I would give this place 5 stars.

Despite not being all-you-can-eat, Brothers is worth giving a hard look. It was a typical Saturday night and as you can guess, every other kbbq joint had one to two hour waits. I don’t know about most other people, but I can’t justify waiting that long unless it’s for something special like the grand opening of a Chik fil A restaurant. That’s where Brothers came to the rescue. I’ll be honest — Brothers gave me a bad first impression. The outside looks tacky and there was barely anyone inside. To top it all off, they don’t sell liquor(although I was told that they would be getting a liquor license in the coming weeks). Grilled on top of charcoal, the meat was amazing. We had set A, which feeds two people. It comes out with chadol bagi(thinly sliced brisket), galbi, pork belly, chicken, and jumulleok(tenderized short steaks), all of which were amazing quality. The marbling almost made me shed a tear, but I held back. Each one of these meats was phenomenal. Also, the service was excellent. Besides the fact that this place was empty, the servers were constantly tending to our meat and coming out with sides. The two other cons were that the smoke would go into my face and that the seating was a bit uncomfortable. But, in my opinion, the meat and service should more than make up for these transgressions and create an amazing kbbq experience.

If you ever watch KDramas, then this place will make you feel like you are in the motherland. Its small, its hot & its not kid friendly, although they do have 1 high chair for the entire restaurant. But the food is delicious & the service is spot on! We ordered a large combo but they were out of 1 of the side dishes it comes with. =/ We did eat a later lunch, 130ish. There was one other table there but after they left, we has the entire restaurant to ourselves, which could explain the amazing service. Bathrooms are outside and you do need a key for them.

Tasty, but expensive. Given the good quality of the meat, the general tastiness of everything over charcoal, and the cooking-for-you-factor, it’s good. But, sitting in the smokiness, heat-of-the-stove-and-heat-of-the-weak-a.c., and backless stools just makes it a less enjoyable meal. Pound for pound, I’d peg this as a terrible value and will probably go eat at a steakhouse for quality or some decent AYCE place for ‘fullness’ next time.

The outdoor seating at this Korean BBQ restaurant is the coolest place to eat in all of Lakewood! This restaurant, unlike most kbbq places in the area, are not All you can eat. Forget about quantity with this place, it’s about quality! The brisket and short ribs are the best I’ve had ever. The salad here is also the best I’ve had at any KBBQ spot. Order a bottle of soju and enjoy the coolest table in Lakewood!

Yes, it’s true what everyone’s been saying, the galbi is freakin amazing. Tender, flavorful, high-quality. So why am I giving this place 3 stars? Because we ordered literally 2 things(portions were not even that big) and our bill was about $ 70. The galbi is phenomenal here but it’s so overpriced. I think it was over $ 40 for a small plate. Our other dish was the pork belly. That was good, but nothing special. My man put a piece of garlic over his slice as it was grilling for flavor, and then our waitress scoffed and took it off, telling him not to do that. NOT. COOL. The restaurant is cozy, smoky, and modest. Very mom-and-pop. I guess if you’re sick of the chains or the all-you-can-eats, come here for a lower-key and quieter setting. Just be prepared to pay for it.

My wife and I came here for dinner on Sunday, 4÷5÷15. Before coming, I called ahead to make a reservation. The lady I spoke to said they do not take reservations. They have a 4 star overall rating on Unilocal.I was excited to try the charcoal grill instead of the more common gas grill at other kbbq’s. When we arrived, we saw two open tables in the middle of the small dining room. We asked to sit inside, and we didn’t mind waiting if we had to. The lady informed us that the tables inside are reserved. On the phone she told me they don’t take reservations. We asked to be put on a waiting list for inside seating; she said they could not do that. She told us to sit outside. The outside patio had about four or five tables. It was cold outside, but we decided to make the best of it. A Korean couple came after us. We heard them speaking English to the server. They said they do not have a reservation, but would like to sit inside. They were told no. Then they spoke Korean to the same lady we talked to, and were immeditaely seated inside. That did not make us happy. We pointed out the obvious – that we asked to be seated inside – and would be on a wait list if necessary. The Korean couple was very nice, and said we should take the table inside that the staff member was trying to give to them. So after much hassle, we were finally seated inside. The Korean couple was seated inside as well – at one of the two open tables in the middle that the lady originally said were reserved(even though they don’t take reservations). Needless to say, this entire experience turned me off before I even tried the food. (It should be noted that we probably would’ve left by now, but we were waiting for my brother and his girlfriend. After we already ordered and started receiving food, my brother called to cancel. My brother’s girlfriend is Korean, so it would have been interesting to see if we received better treatment after her arrival.) As far as the food goes, it was average overall, but overpriced. We ordered the combo #2 for $ 68.99. The marinated sirloin cuts were good. They were seasoned well and tender. The rest ranged from okay to subpar. The pork belly was okay, and the pork rib wasn’t that good. It was tough and lacking flavor. For the price, it’s disappointing. My wife and I could have spent less at so many other surrounding restaurants, and we would have been fuller. The banchan was average. I arranged the small dishes in front of me the way I prefer. Then, our server came over and rearranged them when she brought us the rice. I finished cooking some pork and had set it aside on my plate. Our server poked at my food, telling me it was undercooked. Rude, to say the least. I know how I like my meat. The previous pieces were overcooked and dry. Our combo was supposed to come with soybean paste soup, but it never came. The server tried to bring us salad, then turned around and gave it to another table after the manager said something to her in Korean. They brought another salad and set it on our side tray that was holding the meat. Ten minutes later I had to ask if it was ours, and she said yes. This side tray was adjacent to our table the whole meal. Different servers would take tongs and scissors to flip and cut our meat. The problem is, they would use the same tongs and scissors and handle meat for the table next to us – this is unsanitary at best. Our combo was supposed to come with three drinks(instead of the beer option), but she only gave us two cans of soda. My wife and I were the only non Koreans seated inside. There was a Chinese couple seated outside. I guess the owners are happy catering to Koreans only. They’re not aiming to please anyone else or obtain return business from non Koreans. We certainly will never come back. For a lower price and a fuller belly, go to Gyu-Kaku, Moo BBQ, Gen, Bulgogi House, Hwang Hae Doe, or Red Palace instead. They all have better meat, and you won’t be treated like a second class citizen.

If you want high quality meats non-AYCE, then this is the place. Service was very good and friendly. It’s a small restaurant and they use charcoal grill. Not a bad place in Cerritos! You don’t have to worry about driving in the crowded streets, looking for parking or paying for parking like in K-town. Overall, the meats at Kang Hodong Baekjeong are better than here. However, Kang’s menu is limited and the wait can be long.

It’s a small little Korean BBQ place. Not AYCE though, because the quality is just that high. Got the first combo option for about $ 35.00(per person). *Sang Galbi(pictured) is the real kind of Korean rib you can find near Cerritos. It was juicy, tender, and no fats attached.(This was ordered separately, but a must). *Sang-yup-sal(pork slices that look like bacon): it’s marinated giving that soft tender texture. Usually when these pork slices are not marinated it gives off that gamey taste of pork. But when it’s marinated you don’t taste that gamey flavor, in fact the slices taste better. This is the same with the pork ribs as well. *hardly any unhealthy fat on the beef and pork ribs. They are all fresh and unfrozen.
