A great store that sells vintage items. Was able to find an out of date book that my granny has once! A bit pricey but well worth it as the book was in great condition! Has a large selection of books! A vintage book lover’s dream!

I’ve only had the chance to go there once or twice, and I really like the pieces they sell. I almost had a chance to grab a wicker bench for the porch, but someone got it before me! Should have jumped on it when I had the chance.(Or, I guess, sat on it.) A little expensive for my liking, though, and a kind of musty smell.

This is a solid Lakewood stop when antiquing and thrifting ’round CLE. It’s on the smaller side, but packed with lots of traditional pieces, and even some revamped, industrial furniture to add some punch to your place. It can be hit or miss with prices. I’ve seen some really cool old card catalogues and other neat pieces if found at a thrift store, would have been much cheaper. But, because Empty Nest seeks and collects this stuff, it tends to be quite a bit more expensive. I’m not usually the type to spend more just because someone found it before I did – I’d rather find it cheaper myself. But these folks really do pull together and reincarnate some great stuff. Last time we were in we found an old cast iron pot that we still use – it was well seasoned and really rather cheap. I’ve also been tempted to snatch up a few other reclaimed things(that is, until I looked at the price tag.) But you’re paying for someone’s art – you have to remember that. The owners seem really helpful and will walk you through each thing with a complete explanation of where it came from and how they fixed it up. Overall, I wouldn’t pass by this place. At least stop by and check it out!
