Skimp on the food. I usually order a salad with chicken and mushrooms. I ask for full servings on each, I don’t mind paying the extra but usually only get half a serving of mushrooms. Don’t skimp, I’m paying for them give me the full portion! Food usually is fresh and tastes good that’s why I like it, just don’t want to have to argue about the amount when I ask for more.

Only Ok taste. $ 8 for a gyro with nothing else is expensive. Flatbread isn’t soft, meat is skimpy.

Omg. Yum! Great customer service. Always offer free sample! Hummus and tzatziki is really good. Could eat here everyday!

Friendly staff. Clean location. The food was okay. The chicken was kind of tough to eat and it was cold… I wish it was warm. The rice was sticky. The falafels are delicious though.

I usually like Garbanzo. But it seems like their quality is dropping day by day. They don’t carry the white pita bread anymore. I ordered a plate of steak without hummus. The server served me a tea spoon of rice, a tea spoon of veggies, You get the idea. It seemed like she was rationing for a future drought. I was very disappointed with the quantity. Next time I would rather go to Chipotle, to receive more quantity for lesser price.

We tried this place once before with no problem. Food was fresh, tasted great, service quick and helpful. Our second visit was alot different. My wife asked for a separate plate for the serving of hummus because she doesn’t like all the food crowded on one plate which can make it difficult to eat, «Chris» asked why and stated«it all get mixed once you eat it» something neither of us wanted to hear before we ate, let alone being questioned on how to we eat food. Its one extra plate, I would have paid for it I needed to. We were both taken aback by his snarky statement and I didn’t have time to respond and just wanted to get our food and sit down. While we were eating we overheard«Chris» rudely speaking to another couple, two senior ladies asking about the menu options and they walked out. My wife and I decided to say something about his attitude. We told him that he can’t speak to us or anyone else like that and its his job to answer questions and serve the food. He said he could only answer so many questions a day and didn’t have time for us and that we should find the door and leave. A family of 3 or 4 that was in line saw the transaction between Chris, the two older ladies and us and said they were going somewhere else to eat. By this point I was fuming and ready to leave without finishing our meal. What was planned to be a nice quick dinner turned into a great big annoying insult. Until Chris the manager gets fired, we will not be returning to this location and this review will reflect that. SHAMEONYOUR chris FORYOURPOORATTITUDEANDBEING A BULLYTOCUSTOMERS.

Skip this location — While I generally love this restaurant chain, this one is not up to par. My first experience several months ago was so-so. The meat and rice were really dried out though. I decided to give it another try this evening. Chris waited on us. I ordered a plate and he asked a strange question. Rather than the typical question white or wheat pita, he asked«do you want your pita?» When I asked, «What?» He repeated the question but shouted it loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. When my companion responded with, «you don’t need to yell.» Chris became more rude and condescending. We were ready to leave at that point but we were short on time so we continued down the line. It was then that we noticed the state of the food. They were out of chicken and steak and we were going to have to wait for them to cook it. When we heard that one woman had been waiting 20 minutes, we decided to leave. I hope this location gets better … For now I’d suggest skipping it. #garbanzo #garbanzodenver #leaveitbetter

Oh my god! This place was so good! We got there and right away were asked if we wanted to try a falafel sample(of course we do!) then I couldn’t decide between that and portobello and the gentleman informed me I can get both! I got falafel, portobello, veggies, tabouli, tzatziki, feta, and Kalamata olives in a pita. I also got mint lemonade! My bf got pomegranate lemonade and a steak pita. So yummy and it was filling! All together it was a little over $ 20.

Yesterday was a first for me and my wife. Enjoyed it very much! The price and serving size were great. Flavors were enjoyable. Cons; felafel was a tiny bit over cooked(unless you like it crispy), ice in the pre-made drinks was long melted away, although the the drinks were still delicious(lemon aid and tea). If you’re after a quick seemingly very healthy and filling fast food, don’t be shy, come on in… Oh, and the baklava was pretty good too…

What a let down. Food tastes fine, but the service is remarkably bad! Stopped in around 8 pm for some easy dinner and the whole crew(a bunch of high school kids) basically had one foot out the door. They didn’t have all of the ingredients out on the assembly line, every fountain beverage tasted like soda water, and we made the mistake of sitting near the soda fountain and silverware so someone was basically standing on top of us doing their side work the whole time we were eating. These kids were banging stuff around in the back, yelling, and generally acting like a bunch of idiots. Couldn’t wait to get out of there and we won’t be back any time soon!

I liked this place. It was our first time here though, and I felt like the staff was not very helpful with explaining the concept. After some confusion my husband and I finally decided to get the plate option. We also got the gluten-free pita which was awesome. The sauces were delicious. Overall it was a good experience.

I used to love Garbanzo and was a super frequent visitor. I stopped in today, the first time in a few months and I left with my takeout super disappointed. First they have changed their menu a bit. While they have added gyro’s they have taken away the grape leaves and good majority of their sauces, which is a huge bummer for me. I always get the greek salad and had I known their weren’t as many sauce(dressing options) I probably would have left, but my food was already made so… and lastly, the guy finishing up my salad forgot the olives, feta cheese, and peppers,(Unfortunately, I didn’t notice till I was home with my salad as it could have been an easy fix) He asked, I said yes, I walked by him to pay as to not hold up the incredibly long line, I didn’t think I had to monitor every step of the process. So, I am now eating my salad take out and it is nothing compared to what I raved about in my previous review. I understand you have to go with what sells, but what is selling point for me is gone and forgetting my favorite salad items isn’t helping my bummed out mood.

This is one of my favorite spots to eat lunch. The plate option with or with out a meat is always great! It’s a ton of great food and only 7 bucks. I really don’t like chain restaurants but this one is a go-to option for sure and will not let you down!

I have been to this location many times without anything less than a tasty dish, the trip I made today was not so pleasant. The workers were very sweet and attentive to everyone’s needs, but they all seemed stressed, and that they were not enjoying their jobs.(I mean, I’ve been there, done the fast ish food thing) but they looked like they wanted out. I believe this had something to do with a man who seemed to be the manager(probably 5’7 man in his 30’s tan skin and dark hair) Once he came out from the back, he was not smiling, helpful or even nice. He seemed even more stressed and was being quite snippy and rude to those men and women who were there working for him. I get that people have their bad days, but if this is a running business, it needs to be sincere. And the vibes being put off were very uncomfortable. Again I believe this was a managerial issue, the line workers were very accommodating. I don’t write reviews EVER, and I think this may just be my first on Unilocal, but the only other reason I’m writing is because my chicken is pink! The vibes are off here, if everyone just slows down and worked together I feel like this could have been avoided.

I love Garbanzos! Super nice staff, good food, and I feel like it’s generally healthy. Its also a great place to introduce your friends to Mediterranean food because it’s pretty simple and easy to order, not at all intimidating.

I almost didn’t come here because I saw some low reviews on this site. But I am glad I did. Quinoa, fresh veggies, falafel, tasty rice, hummus, dolmades, pita, well seasoned juicy meat. If you get the plate, you easily have two meals from it. You really can’t go wrong getting a delicious and healthy meal from here with a variety of awesome ingredients. Also, the service was incredibly friendly. Yes, you order the items you want in your bowl or pita from behind a glass case. But that doesn’t mean you should call it Chipotle and scoff like you are some foodie who is above it all. Take a step back and lose the arrogance. You are walking into a restaurant next to the mall. Yes, it is fast. But I don’t think that is reason to attach the stigma of «fast food.» No, you arent going to be magically teleported to Greece. But you must be an idiot if you go into this place with those expectations. I would normally give this place a 4, but I need to combat these unjustified haters. Moral of the story: Mass-produced franchise restaurant does not always equal bad.

A healthier fast food alternative. I ordered the gyro plate but asked for half gyro and falafel. It’s like a huge salad and you pick your toppings– pickles, hummus, tabuleh, veggie salad, and so much before. Before you know it your plate is filled high with fresh yummy stuff to try. They have 4 different sauces– my favorite was the Tzatziki sauce and the red sauce for spice. It’s a lot of food and it was $ 10 for my plate and iced tea. A great lunch value and it’s quick through the line even when busy. The parking lot at this location is always busy and it’s hard to find a parking spot during lunch time. They even have outdoor tables too. Qdoba, Garbonzos, and Subway are favorite fast food restaurants.

Pros: generous portions, fast courteous service, healthy lunch option, moderately priced Cons: nothing like real Greek food. It’s America’s mass produced version of Greek food. Like I said, it’s a good healthy lunch option that won’t break the bank but don’t expect to be transported to Greece upon your first bite

I’m not crazy about Garbanzo’s — it’s middle-of-the-road fast food, IMO — however, the servers here were absolutely lovely. Everyone, from the people packing our food to the cashier, was friendly and happy. SO refreshing! I would come back just for the smiles.
