Terrific professional with a great friendly staff. He goes out of his way to explain in great detail everything he is doing or proposing to do. Unlike a prior dentist, he has never suggested any treatments or procedures that I did not need. His referrals to other professionals? Always top of the line. Been with him 7+ years. He is worth traveling across town for.
I am myself a physician and I have high standards for professionalism and excellent care. This is the dentist you want. Trust me on this.

I have been going to Dr. Hurst since I was a child. He has surrounded himself with a great group of employees, and has to be one of the best in the business.
I’ve heard horror stories from friends about their dentists. I don’t have any horror stories. Everyone in the office is approachable and friendly, and great at what they do. A few dental assistants even admit to being «wimps,» so take great care to do no harm!
A few years after high school, I was riding my bicycle and broke two of my front teeth in half. A call to Dr. Hurst after hours, he met me at his office and did some quick work to numb them and stop the damage and temporarily patch it, then we set up an appointment Monday to sculpt them back– add material to have non-​broken teeth again.
That is probably 15 years ago now, and I’ve had no problems with those teeth. The fake parts are holding up well!
I think the best thing about them-​how much they love their jobs. Dr. Hurst loves explaining conditions and procedures. He’s the dental version of Bill Nye. And it is nice to get work done knowing why it needs to be done, and how it will be done.
No matter how far I live from them, if they are still in business– I will make the trip.
As a child– I was very comfortable with them. They have a great way with kids, and even have a «toy drawer» so kids can pick a toy after their visit. I think it’s a psychological thing. I would leave his office with some cool new trinket. That would be my parting memory of the dentist– a good one. So I didn’t mind coming back. If my mouth hurt, and he just sent me home, I would have negative connotations I assume.
Anyway.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I’ve been going there for a couple years now and couldn’t be more satisfied! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who really care, and Dr. Hurst always takes the time to explain everything that’s going on. It’s a small family-​oriented office which is very comfortable for me.
