Great nursery with knowledgable staff and good selection! I don’t tend to buy supplies here, just plants and they have always been healthy and great. Not a lot of parking but you can park on 9th ave in front of it.

There is not a friendlier, knowledgable or better garden center around. Not only is the business family-owned and operated but they treat you like a family friend with sound advice, excellent selection and varied selection of products. They are not just a garden center. They are also a small farm stand specializing in honey, sweet corn, jellies, jams, pickles and much more. Then during the colder months they become a holiday center. They even do grave blankets! I have trusted them for over seven years to provide the hardiest plants, the best potting medium and finest selection of any garden center. You won’t be disappointed with anything from their center.

Such a sweet neighborhood nursery! I live in central Denver yet I just jump on 6th Ave West and I’m at this lovely gardening place in a few minutes– and back home to plant in a few more! Knowledgable staff and great selection!

Great local gardening shop. The staff is always helpful and they have a lot of variety. Diane is the best if you need ideas or advice. They also carry local produce. A great business for the Lakewood community!

My husband and I are finally starting our big landscaping projects. We’ve frequented the large, super-size home and garden stores(Home Depot, Lowes, etc.), but we wanted to give a local nursery a try thinking they would be much more knowledgeable about what works together, what grows in Colorado and what we can afford. We were absolutely right. The gentleman who assisted us — twice — was incredibly helpful. He gave us some great ideas, but suggested we take pictures of where our plants would go so he could give us better recommendations. We came back with pictures of the land area needing plants, and he set us up perfectly! The final act that made me a forever customer(or at least as long as we live in Colorado) is that he wasn’t opposed to recommending a different shop for something that he didn’t have much in stock. That says to me that they really look out for their customers’ best interests.

My wife and I live close to Jensens and wanted to get our community garden spot going. Thought we would try somewhere local because we needed no nonsense, non pushy help — we’re just starting to color our thumbs green. They have a special buy 1 get 1 deal for vegetable starters which was an added bonus when we walked in. The first employee we found, we unloaded our queries. «We have a 5′ x 5′ plot, what can we grow?» «We’re brand new to Colorado, what should we grow?» «How do we even start a garden?» With an eager smile, we were lead around around by a very nice and knowledgeable attendant. She set us up and gave us a very good crash course. No jargon or too much information, just the right amount to not overwhelm us. She helped us pick out the best looking vegetables and showed us what to plant together. I also have two big pots intended for a mixed herb garden. Our helper talked to us about what we cook often, led us to those herbs and helped us understand what can be planted with what. Lastly, we got an arrangement of nice, tough to kill, houseplants per her recommendation. First experience here was great! Highly recommended.

I drive down Wadsworth frequently, and I’d never seen this nursery before until I was desperately in need of some kale starts today, and put google on the case of finding a local garden center. When this place popped up, I figured it must be one of those rare google mistakes. Low and behold, I drive up the hill and there it is. Fantastic prices on veggie starts. This isn’t a huge nursery, but their selection is decent, the prices are reasonable, and the plants themselves are healthy. I can’t say the same for the poor bagged lady bugs by the counter, but that’s the circle of life. I’ll definitely be back. They had some very fun varieties of veggies, so next year when I expand my garden, I’ll have to pack it full of Jensen’s goods.

We stopped by Jensen’s for our Christmas tree last weekend. A week later and the tree looks and smells great and hasn’t dropped a needle! They were very friendly, helpful and had a beautiful variety of trees. We picked a smallish sized tree-but perfect for us and paid only $ 25 for it. We went inside to pay and were greeted with cups of delicious hot cider(free of charge!) By the time we got outside the tree was already secured to the roof of our car! I think we’ll be making Christmas tree shopping at Jensen’s a tradition.

I was starting out my green thumb with a small patio setup attached to my apartment. Not wanting to spend a ton of money on my first try, I figured the standard Home Depot garden center would have the plants & flowers I was hoping for. Terribly wrong. Their flowers were all dying off, looked neglected and worse yet, there were no good sales for flowers so late in the season. Luckily I stumbled by Jensen’s on my way home. This local business has their own nusery and boasts a wide array of flowers. The staff was so helpful & patient with me the new patio gardner. They made recommendations on what to plant together, what was good for now late in the season, and answered every question I threw out… honestly and earnestly. I came home with $ 60 worth of flowers & soil, enough to fill 2 hanging planters, and herb box, and 6 other medium pots! Their prices were comparable if not in many cases better than what I saw at Home Depot & Walmart. The flowers were still bright & healthy, and the staff is very knowledgable. All of the flowers see at Jensen’s are I believe grown in CO. I’d recommend Jensen’s to any level of gardner, but especially those of us that are just starting out and might need a little coaching & have a budget.
