This is my partner and mine go to store for our liquid refreshments. The owner is up on local brews and makes excellent suggestions. She is always friendly and out going with us. I was really impressed with the frequent buyer program and how she gave me 10% off when I made our New Year’s Day stock up run. It is great that it is close to us, but we would make special trips if needed because it is that friendly of store!

I’ve been going to this liquor store for 5 years. The new management is awesome. They actually appreciate their customers unlike the previous owner.

The owner of this store happily accepted my stolen credit card. She KNOWS the guy who made the charge, after all, he does work for her and she pays him in alcohol and cigarettes. Now, how did she think that skinny white boy is named Meredyth? Of course not! Tried calling the crazy woman… she called this a «mistake». DONOTDOBUSINESSWITHTHESETHIEVES!!! The owner of this business just called me to cuss me out because she says as long as the card goes through, she doesn’t care WHO it belongs to. She called me, the victim here, «stupid fucking bitch» and hung up on me… all because that stolen Capital One card is in both mine and my husband’s names. What in the hell is wrong with this woman???

This evening, after a taxing day of parenting and the dismal discovery of legally available alcohol in Colorado grocery stores, I found myself frantically cruising down Wadsworth ISO some wine to take home to my hubby(who emphatically urged me to make a run for it when kiddo was in the bath). JK liquors was a well-lit store that caught my eye with its clearly advertised neon beer logos glowing on an otherwise pitch black street corner. I admit I never feel quite comfortable pulling into a small mom and pop liquor store in what feels like the middle of nowhere. I suspect it is due to too many TV shows where someone gets shot to pieces in such a place. So when I walked in and was met by a friendly woman I was instantly put at ease. She offered to answer any questions I may have as I browsed the small but complete wine selection. As is often the case, the one bottle I intended to purchase became three. One such bottle had a coupon worth $ 5 off for trying, which was a great teaser to get me to bite. As the same women checked me out she let me know it was a mail-in coupon, then informed me that it had expired. I was expecting to cut my losses, which was no big deal, but she immediately pulled out a business card and told me that she was going to give me $ 5 credit for the expired manufacturer’s coupon. Did my disheveled hair and banana-stained pajamas make her pity me? Regardless, WHODOESTHISANYMORE!!! This booze run initially reminded me of small town Kansas circa 1985 after discovering that Denver grocery stores can legally only serve canned piss to customers, but became reminiscent of small town Kansas circa 1985 due to the exceptional customer service I received at JK Liquors. This is the kind of thing that is unheard of in this day and age and has cemented JK Liquors as my first choice for all emergency and non-emergency booze runs in the future.

Came in here one day looking for a particular beer in specific packaging. The employee went to the back and found the closest thing they had for me. He rang it up and I paid in cash. I was glad I checked my change, because he shorted me a dollar. When there’s supposed to be $ 3 in return and you only get two, it makes you wonder how they could make that mistake. This store has average prices from what I could tell, and the location is easy to get in and out of.
