Clean, friendly, fast and good quality dry-​cleaning will make me a happy person. Plus, their prices are totally reasonable! Their coffee machine has a joke written on the side of it. I love a solid sense of humor. I will drive the extra few miles from downtown to Lakewood just for this place.

About as good as it gets. Before moving to the other side of town, I would drop off my laundry on a routine basis. It would come back neatly folded in bags within my hamper, and my shirts nicely pressed on hangers.
As for the self service, it’s always been clean. I’ve seen the employees go around on nearly every visit cleaning the top and rear of the units, the floor and the tables. The units are rarely out of order.
BONUS: The machines take credit/​debit cards! And there is WI-​FI!

A very nice place to do your laundry. They have tons of different size washers and dryers. You can pay via credit/​debit card or/​and the traditional coins. The place is very clean the machines are kept up and clean. The tables to fold clothes are also clean. Free Wifi so while I did laundry my kids were abel to get their homework done. Love the machines that did both washing and drying what a time saver.

Katie’s Green and Clean is a very nice place to do laundry. It’s located next to a restaurant so you aren’t forced to sit and do laundry while you wait. I believe they do dry cleaning and laundry for you if you’d like.
It’s a nice sized establishment. Very clean and many different sizes of washers and dryers to clean your clothes in. I even noticed that they have two machines that do both washing and drying in one load.
I will say that the price of doing the washing is a tad bit expensive, however, the price to do your drying makes up for the difference. I usually use one or two of the $ 3.75 machines to wash. I can almost always use just one of the $ 1 dryers to wash all of my clothes. Even if I haven’t done laundry for a week and a half (which is often). They have a nice folding area that, in all honesty, I don’t use because I am allergic to folding my clothes right after I do my laundry. But if I did fold my laundry, I would have no issue folding just about anything on the spacious tables.

They keep good hours and they get them boo boo stains out ya drawls. #church

I’m going to say that THIS is just about as good as any laundromat can be. The machines all seemed to be maintained well. The interior was clean. The bathroom was CLEAN!!! It wasn’t eat off the floor clean but for a laundromat, it was very clean.
There are tons of washers. Some are the double load size. And all of the dryers look like they could hold about four loads of clothes at once.
My clothes came out of the washer clean and the dryers were only a dollar for about 28 minutes. That is enough time to dry my load of clothes.
The owner/​manager was on site the entire time.

Very eco friendly, and efficient equipment in a clean environment. Very friendly, prompt service explaining the machines operation. This place was a lifesaver when our block lost power from Hurricane Sandy. We also take all of our oversized items here. The owners have a passion for good customer service that I really appreciate. Nice job!

Cleanest laundromat I’ve seen thus far. I will definitely return even though I pass several other laundromats on the way. New machines. Free wifi.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE that the machines take credit cards! very clean, helpful employees, free wi-​fi! i went to wash two very large comforters and could not have been happier! very busy on a saturday afternoon, but hey that’s to be expected on the weekend! will definitely return!

Absolute disaster… I went to this place once … and they lost my shirt (which I needed for a wedding that weekend.) Several times the owner promised to call me to let me know the status of things, then just completely failed to do so like a totally irresponsible dufus. The staff could never help me… just promise that the owner would call (which he didn’t.)
I would never, ever, ever, ever go here again.

I love this place. I live in Lakewood and although there are a lot of different laundry facilities that I could frequent, I always choose this place. It’s clean, well-​lit and has great customer service. Sure you can go somewhere cheaper but this is definitely a you-​get-​what-​you-​pay-​for place. The machines are huge and there’s plenty of them. The place is kept very clean and they even have a small area for the kids to play in if you’re into that.

So… it’s a laundry center. You guessed it, a place to wash your clothes. However, this one is unique in the fact that it’s new cutting edge equipment that reduces it’s ecological footprint. Thus the name Katie’s clean and GREEN laundry. It’s my experience in doing laundry that you probably could find a cheaper place by maybe .50 a load. But, they’re typically not user friendly. This place offers credit/​debit card pay options as well as the traditional coin op. But who wants to lug around $ 10 – 20 in quarters? Ugh!
Plus the machines are quiet and there’s free wi-​fi.
For laundry, it’s a win win.
Oh and if your supper busy, they have a drop off service too. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems a popular option as well.
Check it out. If you’re a laundry person, I think you’ll love it.

I hate doing laundry. ABSOLUTELY HATE it and I hate the fact that my apartment complex only has 1 over priced small washing machine and 1 dryer. I wait until I have a huge laundry pile and then lug all of it to the laundromat.
Katie’s is super clean and in a nice neighborhood. The customer service is great with a nice and super friendly staff that are always willing to help with anything you need and there is free wi fi. I can leave my stuff for a short time and go to a nearby store and I feel absolutely ok doing that here. I’ve been here a couple times during busy times and even then I could still get my laundry done without fighting to get a washer. Really great laundromat!

I’ve never had such positive feelings toward a laundromat but Katie’s isn’t your average laundromat. I’ve yet to wait for a machine, even on a Saturday afternoon. Machines are newer and CLEAN. The staff is attentive and always willing to help. There are soaps and fabric softeners at the counter for purchase as well as dryer balls for borrowing when drying a big item like a comforter. Free wifi makes the wait fly by and abundant folding space seals the deal. Katie’s is clean and open pretty late (10p on weekdays). Laundry isn’t everyone’s favorite chore but Katie’s will definitely be your favorite laundromat.

Awesome customer service and great prices on dry cleaning and wash. I’ve been coming here since June 2013, and I still come back even though I moved 2 miles farther away in November. It’s worth the trip.
Hours are great, too. They are open late so there’s no need to rush to pick up your laundry before 5 or 6.

Went there this past Sunday morning and Really felt comfortable here. Machines are large and well maintained. Everything is clean, dryers are quick and ultra convenient because of the debit card payment right on the machines. Lots of comfortable seating also. What a joy!

My 80 lbs of bedding was due for a vigorus wash and I was pleased to see and smell how well their washers work. Maybe a bit pricy but my washer at home is WAY too small for even my down comforter…
So out they came with that fresh washed/​dried scent and I was a happy little snot!!!

After both our washer and dryer conked out on us recently — thanks superstorm Sandy — we were forced to seek external clothes-​cleaning environs. Since I hadn’t used a communal laundry since I lived in an apartment in Cleveland Heights nearly 13 years ago I wasn’t sure where to turn. Enter Unilocal.With such stellar reviews I couldn’t help but give Katie’s a try.
Most laundromats are dark, dingy places filled with shifty looking characters, randomly blinking fluorescent lights and quarter-​eating outdated equipment. Katie’s couldn’t be further from this all-​to-​common stereotype. How about a nice succinct bulleted list:
–New front-​loading, eco-​efficient equipment in a variety of capacities. They actually have machines capable of washing 7 loads at once and I’m pretty sure you could fit three people in their largest dryers.
–No need for quarters. Everything takes credit cards. Don’t worry, if you are stuck on using actual currency they’ve got you covered.
–Plenty of seating. There’s even a comfy couch that’s perfect for relaxing while you wait.
–Free wi-​fi. Ask the staff for the password.
–Clean and well-​lit. Katie’s is spotless and bright.
–Plenty of folding tables and wheelie baskets.
–A super-​friendly staff that’s always willing to help. If you’re not sure how to use their machines just ask.
I don’t think it gets much better than Katie’s when it comes to a laundromat. I won’t go as far as to say that doing laundry is pleasant or fun, but since you’ve gotta do it the less pain the better. Katie’s is virtually painless. Sure, their probably a little pricier than your average facility but I’m happy to pay it if it means keeping this gem around.

Okay, this should say something; I’m posting a review of a laundromat.
BUT, they don’t get much better. Katie’s Clean and Green is located on Detroit road in Lakewood across from St. Ed’s School.
The place is clean, (actually, cleaner than a LOT of laundromats I’ve been to,) well kept-​up, and their machines? Well, I did nearly 140 POUNDS of laundry the other day as we were getting caught up and washing some old stuff from storage. They have TWO 77lb machines there that took the entire load. AND, they have driers of equivalent size that can dry in under 35 minutes.
Their machines are high-​tech and well kept, and as you might expect, the prices are equivalent; the biggest machines there were around 8 bucks, but they took over an HOUR to clean, that is to do a thorough job, and they DID. Their machines also accept debit and credit cards as well as quarters, so, no change, no worries.
The staff were helpful, nice folks who were long on nice, a real prized thing. When I’ve been to laundromats like this in the past, I got barely a nod. Here, at least a nod AND a wink:) They also have a lot of the standard supplies (detergent, fabric softener, etc.) available on site at a decent price.
In addition, they have drycleaning service, laundry by the pound, and other services available at Katie’s, so if you need to clean up, I would heartily suggest stopping here to NUKE YOUR LAUNDRY WOES! KABOOM!
(Oh, and next door is Danny’s Deli, which I will review separately; when you hear about it, I think that laundry-​n-​lunch will be a must;)
